a
small
bay
located
North
of
Kuwait
City
in
the
Kuwait
part
of
the
Persian
Gulf.
Kuwait
City
lies
at
one
tip
of
the
bay.
At
a
site
in
the
Bay
of
Kuwait,
the
model
of
a
sailing
craft
has
been
discovered,
that
has
been
dated
to
c.4000
BC.
The
Bay
of
Kuwait
is
one
of
the
most
diverse
ecosystems
in
Kuwait
due
to
the
type
of
marine
life
thriving
in
its
waters
and
coasts.
It
is
an
important
stop
for
the
Migrant
birds.
The
Sheikh
Jaber
Al-Ahmad
Al-Sabah
Causeway
is
a
mega
bridge
that
spans
the
Bay
of
Kuwait
in
two
directions
and
comprises
two
projects:
Main
Link,
which
connects
Kuwait
City
with
the
Sabiyah;
and
the
Doha
Link,
which
connects
Kuwait
City
with
Doha.
The
Main
Link
is
the
4th
longest
road
bridge
in
the
world
at
36.14
km.
Green
Tiger
Shrimps
that
are
famous
residents
of
the
Kuwait
Bay
were
protected
with
the
establishment
of
new
vegetation
habitats
where
artificial
reefs
were
installed
away
from
the
bridge
construction
zones.
This
effort
was
very
successful
as
the
involved
parties
were
able
to
see
the
new
shrimp
habitats
taking
place
away
from
the
bridge
location,
and
shrimps
were
reproduced
in
abundant
capacities.
