The
Red
Palace
is
a
palace
built
by
the
ruler
of
Kuwait,
Sheikh
Mubarak
Al-Sabah,
in
1896,
in

south
of
Jahra.

Uses
of
the
palace
The
palace
is
divided
into
several
sections.

is

prince’s
residence
section,

is
on
the
northern
side
of
the
palace,
and
in
the
middle
is

large
courtyard
called
“the
harem
courtyard.”

includes
a
private
room
for
the
prince,
in
addition
to
the
kitchen
and
rooms
designated
for
servants.
