I expected a magnificent airport in one of the richest countries in the world but this was a total disappointment. There were no seats at one gate- just imagine a situation like that and there was a huge crowd standing near that gate, waiting for the flight. I was also part of that crowd. Moreover, the toilets were not at all clean and it would be great if the toilets are cleaned regularly. I hope my experience in Kuwait airport will be grand when I visit next time. Thanks

Kuwait International Airport left me quite disappointed. The long queues at security and passport control were frustrating, leading to stressful delays despite arriving early. The lack of efficient crowd management exacerbated this issue. Inside the airport, the limited dining and shopping options were overpriced and underwhelming. Finding a decent meal or a comfortable place to relax during my layover was a struggle. Cleanliness was also a concern, with restrooms and public areas often poorly maintained. The overall atmosphere of the airport felt outdated and uninspiring, lacking the modernity and aesthetic appeal found in many other international airports. Confusing and inadequate signage made navigation challenging. Transportation options to and from the airport were limited, and accessibility needs improvement. While the staff were generally polite, there seemed to be a lack of training in dealing with international travelers, leading to communication issues. In summary, Kuwait International Airport falls short of expectations. It requires significant improvements in queue management, facilities, cleanliness, signage, and overall passenger experience.

Old airport. The new terminal still under construction since 2017. There is two lounges in the airport. Small duty free. Few number of restaurants and coffees.

Being a transit passenger flying through Kuwait is the worst experience ever. You will be treated like a refugee where you walk through narrow passage and reach a hall where you have to sit and wait even if your next flight is 4 or 5 hours away. You have no access to the rest of the airport and no food or drinks are available here and its basic and full of people. Even the toilet is a small hole in the wall kind of place considering the number of passengers pushed into this waiting hall..Downright third grade. The access to the food court down the passage is guarded and the guard will allow only few passengers at a time. Also airport staff is downright rude and the security will even push you and ask you to go back to your hall instead of speaking with decency. If you find yourself in this situation, try to go to the gate to the food court and duty free every 20 minutes. Once you get into this area, things are much better. There is a businessclass lounge at the end ofnthe footcourt which accepts priority pass and some cards also. But still its one of the worst transit areas I have seen. If possible please avoid flying through Kuwait as a transit passenger. I am not sure whether this is the same case when you fly all airlines through Kuwait or if this is the special treatment given to Jazeera airlines passengers.

The Airport is more like a mall, it have multiple branded stores like Debenhams, Samsung Store, On Time, Athelete Shop, Carbon Fiber, MAC, NYC, Ooredoo, Zein, STC etc. Restaurants like Pizza Express, McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, Food Circle etc and 2 Indian restaurants in the mezzanine floor. Cafes Costas, Caribou, Starbucks etc. Flower Shops, General stores and many more. Almost all banks branches like NBK, Gulf Bank, Burgan Bank, Boubyan etc. All of these before the immigration.

Nice clean airport with not much to do!! A few popular food places but that's about it. Charging ports on pretty much all rows of seating is a positive.

Kuwait International Airport is the main gateway to Kuwait City. It features a modern terminal with multiple concourses, handling both domestic and international flights. Known for its contemporary architecture and facilities, the airport contributes significantly to the country's economy, serving as a hub for travel and trade in the Middle East. It offers a range of services and amenities for travelers and plays a pivotal role in connecting Kuwait to destinations worldwide.

As it was cheapest flight for travelling but Nice Airport. View from plane looks great. Airport surrounded by desert sand. Bariety of duty free shops but no alcohol as it is bann in Kuwait. Good options for buy fast food & coffee like Starbucks & MacD etc. Nice setting arrangement at bording area. Free drinking water available and hygienic rest rooms. One issue at there was Many charging socket but they were not working. Best thing I like was frequency of cleaning hall, waiting area and toilets.

Worst airport in the world if you landed because of a transit flight. No shops, no food points, only one vanding machine in whole area and that only accept Kuwaiti coins. I must have to appreciate the intelligence of the guy who placed that machine. I mean who would have Kuwaiti dinars in this area? Kuwait is one of the strongest counties in this world and for sure Kuwaiti people are really hospitable but the rest room area in the airport is really opposite. It's a request to the authorities to provide facilities to the passengers those landed in Kuwait for a few hours. Long live Kuwait.

Well managed airport. For some terminal you have to exit the airport and take a bus. Security check is there at both places and takes time. It is better to inquire before hand and leave earlier than when the flight is scheduled to avoid delay at security check.

Had landed on this airport while flying to Baku via Jazeera airlines. Jazeera airlines had a dedicated building for its incoming and outgoing passengers which made mobility easy. The airport seems well maintained and well equipped but the airport staffs were rude and completely annoying.

Not bad at all. Transferred within Terminal 4. Was relatively painless. Slightly chaotic queue going through security into the terminal building. Beyond that it was good. Lots of space. Toilets were slightly few in number. Good options for a bite to eat, and loads and loads of duty free stuff if you want it. I’m not put off travelling through here again. All the staff I met were friendly enough.

Security staffs are crazy. They are touching everywhere of your body! This is madness. They even wanted me to start my computer. Come on, we are coming from airways also! What kind of gun or bomb can I take in the air? Places are not so expensive. They accept dollars but they pay back with Kuwait denars. So if you were there for transferring, don't buy anything because there is also no exchange office in the airport. There is a smoking area inside, so you can find and smoke in there freely.

Horrible international airport, dirty everywhere. Toilets had an inch of water on the floor. A very limited food option in the cafe section. Duty free shops selling only chocolates, gold, perfumes were still too expensive compared most other airports in the region. A lot of South Asian staff on the airport maintenance, they will not hesitate to ask for money / tips even for just doing their job and handing you a tissue paper.

Bigger, Grand airport is being build and expected to be ready by 2024. Current one is fit for purpose, small and crowded. Lounge capacity is about 20 seats. During rush hours, it may seem like playing musical chairs due to limited seating capacity. It is going to change soon.

A simple airport with very few dining options and a small Duty Free shop. During busy time, it gets crowded and noisy. Toilet was small and limited. I feel this airport is too small to cater to the crowd.

Today I was at terminal 4 of Kuwait international airport. I searched reviews before starting my journey and on line reactions were not much soothing. But....but... first hand experience: On board experience: Five star Transit security check: Five star, very cooperative staff and soft spoken. Terminal 4: Super shining, lot of restaurants, sleeping place at first floor, signage every where. Overall experience: Seven star, highly recommended.

Kuwait International Airport is a relatively small but efficient airport. It has a smller terminal which is equppied with basic amenities. Usually ut caters the passengers of Kuwait Airways. The airport terminal is clean. It has proper signs in appropriate places, less hustles and bustles. The lounges are fine.

A bit skeptical about the airport at first but then when I landed it was a great space not huge as dubai I or any other global not small as Qatar airport. Ample of shops helpful staff and lovely people. There are ample of eating and duty free shopping places. Plenty of seating space neat and clean u less some other international airports in the Saudi region. I would recommend anyone flying through this side about not to worry it won’t let you down for a layover

Getting better. The pandemic has forced them to deal with the extreme crowding issues throughout the airport. If the airport officials use this knowledge properly and expand on what they e already done....this could become a leading airport in the region. If they haven't already, they may want to consider expanding the airport as well.

Special Waiting area for Transit passengers of Jazeera Airlines with unlimited free WiFi. The waiting passengers get 1 time free meal from the airlines while waiting for the flight. We also have available women and men washrooms and prayer area specially made for transit passengers. We can also visit the duty free shops in the airport.

looking at modern state of art on other GCC countries Kuwait Airport lacks various things: no proper direction guidance , digital display board is limited to some places and waiting area for jazeera was insanely crowded .. nevertheless drinking water dispensers is appreciable indeed .

Very small nice airport, a handful of places for some quick bites, no big restaurants for dining.. You have McDonald's and Starbucks on the first floor near the D gates. Ground floor has couple of small duty Free shops. Toilets, prayer rooms available on both the floors, clean and neat. One thing which I hated was the airport security staff.. couple of security officers present there were extremely rude and shouting at people for no justifiable reasons. Very unprofessional.. Even at the people who were with the kids,.. If they're having a bad day, that doesn't mean you have to shout at the people arriving at your country, as you represent the country.. This may be one off scenarios but it surely put me off.. Otherwise no complaints.. Cozy airport where you can spend an hour or two.. Nothing much for the kids however charging ports available at the chairs which are compatible with the UK plugs..

The terminal's architecture blends contemporary design with cultural motifs, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The airport's staff consistently demonstrates professionalism, ensuring smooth check-in and security processes. Passengers can explore a variety of shops and dining options, reflecting both local and international tastes. Duty-free stores provide a diverse selection of products. The airport's lounges offer comfort and amenities for those seeking a more exclusive experience. Connectivity is a highlight, with reliable Wi-Fi and charging stations available throughout the terminal. Efficient signage aids navigation, contributing to an overall stress-free experience. The airport's commitment to cleanliness is evident, with well-maintained facilities and restrooms. Immigration and customs procedures are generally swift, contributing to timely departures and arrivals. While parking facilities are convenient, transportation options to and from the airport are also well-organized. In conclusion, Kuwait International Airport impresses with its modern infrastructure, excellent services, and cultural touches, making it a commendable gateway for travelers.

Review of Kuwait Airlines: My experience with Kuwait Airlines has been rather disappointing. On both occasions, the flights were delayed, causing inconvenience and frustration. Another surprising aspect was that the staff at the airport primarily spoke Hindi, which was unexpected as Kuwait is predominantly an Arabic-speaking country. This led me to believe that language selection may have been based on appearance or stereotypes rather than actual language proficiency. Additionally, I couldn't help but notice what appeared to be differential treatment towards Kuwaitis by the cabin crew. While I may be mistaken, it seemed like they were given preferential treatment, which was disheartening. Furthermore, the quality of in-flight food was below average, failing to meet the standards I have come to expect from major airlines. One aspect that particularly bothered me was the distribution of blankets. Unlike other reputable airlines, Kuwait Airlines seemed reluctant to provide blankets unless specifically requested. This gave the impression that they were cutting corners wherever possible. In addition, it was quite surprising to see such frugality from an oil-rich country like Kuwait. With the vast resources available, one would expect a higher level of investment in providing a more comfortable and luxurious travel experience. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met, and it was disappointing to witness such a mismatch between the country's wealth and the airline's cost-cutting measures. Overall, my experience with Kuwait Airlines left me with the impression that they were excessively cost-conscious and lacked attention to customer satisfaction. I would hope to see improvements in areas such as punctuality, staff training, and in-flight services before considering flying with them again.

It is a convenient airport with everything you may need within a short walking distance. There are a lot of visitors here waiting for their flights for an extended period of time. A well organized and spotless airport. The authorities are quite accommodating and kind. There is a location where photographs of people who lost their lives during the Kuwait War in the years 1990-1991 can be viewed by visitors. At the food section, there are three different restaurants to choose from. Since I am originally from India and have encountered a growing number of people who were born and raised in India, I have been increasingly interested in opening an Indian restaurant in food court. The airport, in general, has a pleasant atmosphere.
