Al-Shu'ab Gate or the "Al-Bara'asi" Gate. Al-Shu'ab is the low place on the ground where rainwater and torrents collect. As for Al-Bara'asi, he is one of the guards of the gate and a member of the Al-Bara'asi, a branch of the Anza tribe. It is the third gate of the Kuwaiti wall, the third in terms of arrangement and the third in importance and use. The construction of this gate dates back to the year 1919 AD. The People's Gate is located near Al Shaheed Park (Al-Shaheed Park is considered the second most important Kuwaiti tourist attraction) Suitable for tourists and visitors to visit the site and take some souvenir photos. Alshieb gate or Dirwazat Alburai’ase - a historical monument still stands in Kuwait City - this gate is the 3rd in sequence yet the 3rd in daily uses and important. Great historical monument, kuwait number one tourist attraction, good for kids and to take some memorial photos

An amazing picnic spot , basically an island made artificially in the sea. You can rent a bicycle to roam around, which delivers an interesting views of city scape and the beach. Its an ideal place to hangout with family and friends. A great place to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze.

Al-Shaab Gate. Kuwait Wall. Photography by Rami Saber Al-Shaab Gate, or Al-Baraeisi Gate, is a gate in the Kuwait Wall. It was named after Falih Al-Baraeisi Al-Mutairi, who was its guard and owned a farm near the gate where he grew vegetables, legumes, and tomatoes. It was later named Al-Shaab Gate because it leads to the Al-Shaab area, owned by Sheikh Salem Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, then Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. The gate led to the road to the southern coastal villages such as Al-Ras and Al-Dimna, whose name changed to Al-Salmiya. Article from Wikipedia...

The People's Gate is one of the oldest gates. The old wall of Kuwait contains the capital city of Kuwait. It also protected the city from dangers and controlled trade outside the wall. It was closed after sunset until sunrise in front of the merchants, and they were waiting for the gate to open for them to enter and sell their products. It also protected Kuwait from epidemics that struck the world. It was called the plague and the like, and you pass through the main gates of the city

Their original condition was preserved and restored as previously mentioned.

A must visit and a beautiful place. Though the entry fees is KD 1.000 per person, Green Island is a place where family and kids can enjoy the beauty of nature. Calm place and an awesome view of the entire city and famous landmarks. Best time to visit would be when the climate is not so hot.

The People’s Gate, or Al-Buraisi Gate, is a gate in the wall of Kuwait that was built in 1919 AD. As found in Wikipedia, it was named after Falih Al-Buraisi Al-Mutairi, who was its guard and owned a farm near the gate in which he grew vegetables, legumes, and tomatoes. It was later named the People’s Gate because it leads to... To the Al-Shaab area, owned by Sheikh Salem Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, then Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. The gate led to the road to the southern coastal villages such as Al-Ras and Al-Dimna, whose name was changed to Al-Salmiya in 1952 and is currently located near Al-Dasma, Al-Mansouriya, and the Endowments Complex. We love the old landmarks of Kuwait, and I was hoping for a clear sign of the landmark’s name and a brief about him, but unfortunately weather factors erased the writing. Also, the restoration and painting of the gate is exaggerated, so it is better for the archaeological monuments to remain as close to reality as they were

Really an awesome place especially for kids. Area is very vast. Entry fee is 1.5KD including kids above 2 years old. At present, BBQ is not allowed. Outside food is allowed. Very clean washrooms are available. Kids can run around and play with cycles and whatsoever they have. Even cycles and cars are available on chargeable basis for taking a tour around the place. After 2pm the crowd increases so it is better to reach by 10AM so kids get enough space to run around and enjoy.
