The tour guide was very good and well spoken.It takes anywhere between 15 to 30 mins for the tour as you want. Even if you want no talk from the tour guide but just want to click photographs,the guide needs to accompany you.

Parking is very hard though in busy times, if someone knows the best place to park please let us know. However now the other mosque Bilal is used de facto the main mosque of Kuwait.

Many mosques are rather plain. This one is truly beautiful. Worth the visit for sure. I got a terrific free tour, and was able to ask all kinds of questions about Islam, and Kuwait. There were no other tourists, so it was a private tour.

This tour was excellent! Our guide, Usama (sp?), spoke excellent English and described the customs of Islam regarding the mosque and prayer, a bit of history of the Koran, and some background of Islam. Some very nice ladies helped the women in our group get dressed appropriately. Prepare for all to remove shoes, keeping in mind the marble is cold! (at least in January).
