Im a regular here and no complaints. The staff is polite, the guy who checks certification of vaccine is very sweet. Of course, not many good movies around, no thanks to Covid-19.

The snack bar is ridiculously expensive! The screens were dark and unwatchable! I don't recommend it! There was no one to help us with the seats.

The first visit to grand cinema at Eqaila, the Gate Mall. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good one, as i suffered while watching the movie. - 1st: i thought the cinema being small is a good thing, actually it was a so bad. People around us were talking, that you could hear their conversations. It's that small. - 2nd: there's a family of 4 women and about 12 kids attending the movie, their ages ranged from 5 to 11/12 years old. They booked the entire last 2 rows behind us. That family made the cinema theatre as hell, the kept talking, laughing, chewing food so loudly, chit chatting in the mobile phones the entire time. No respect whatsoever to other people attending. - 3rd: the movie started late (8:30) pm, it was a Thriller, it was supposed to be rated 16+ ages. But all ages went in and disturbed the peace the movie required. So wrong. - 4th: after the movie ended, i went outside and spoke to the Philippino man in charge about the noise inside during the movie, he said they received complaints but couldn't do anything to them. -5th: i tried talking to the cinema branch manager, but failed because he wasn't found anywhere. - 6th: for 2 day after attending the movie i sent a tweet to grand cinema account on Twitter, without any response. I called the cinema landline and gave my number to be contacted to make an official complaint. Yet, no answer from any official at the cinema. One of my worst experiences ever, it was a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend going to the grand cinema as long as there's no control over the place & the people attending, and as long as there's no body to talk to. Cinescape, is much better, much more professional and more in control.

The lady issuing the ticket in grandcinema gate mall refused to issue ticket as the movie is 13+ and I had a baby 4 month old with my wife only!!!!! I tried to explain to her that he is not a child but useless, even She called another lady on the phone without a result, Cinema managemnt should explain and train their staff to understand the rules and think not to ruin people's day and plans, I will never go to Grand cinema again

I am from India and I have visited many cinemas in India. In Kuwait, I have visited Grand Cinemas and Cinescape-AlKout and Ajial but I didn't like the seats and even screens are not big enough. Even I don't like the sound system too. Overall, I don't like to watch here any movie. One more problem, if you want to watch any English movie then your English should be good because in movies you will get Arabic subtitles.

Thought we would enjoy a less crowded weekday. Theatre had less than 20 ppl but group of girls wouldnt stop talking and kicking the chairs. Why is there no usher that stays in the theater like in other places. Family atmosphere a big FAIL!

They give you free snacks with the ticket which is amazing but They used to give you popcorn with cola now they give you some unpleasant Arabic sweets with water .. the chairs are good and comfortable but not as private as the avenus vox cinema .. the staff are super friendly

The Grand Cinema in the Gate Mall is a bit of an anomaly. I've seen a couple of movies here recently and the staff are always great, the snack bar is typical, the seats are comfortable and the sound system is good (maybe a bit loud for me, but typical). But, I find the quality of the picture poor, which is kind of a key factor of the overall experience. For some reason both movies shown seemed dark and not quite clear. There's no vividness or brightness to the picture and poor contrast, even in daylight scenes in the movie itself. Had my experience been with just one film or room, it might have been the actual film's production itself. But two different films, in two different theatre rooms, indicates their projection equipment is subpar.

First of all. The screen is dark Second, the food is overly expensive Thirdly and not lastly, the BLUE light for the stairs ( when you sit in the first chair ) they are annoying to the eye My advice is since there is dark screen, expensive food and bad audio why not make the ticket price cheaper? As 3.500KD for a movie with bad screen brightness isn’t that good, since other cinemas are the same price with BETTER experience. I only gave it a 2 star because there isn’t a lot of people and the place is clean

Very bad experience. Dark screens and very bad audio quality. Will not recommend to anyone. Should learn from cinescape people.

😐 It's on the top floor of the mall. Not too difficult to find. Has a lot of screens including IMAX. Not too crowded on Mondays. The caramel popcorn is quite disappointing here, hardly sweet. Mostly felt like I was having normal popcorn.
