Tourist attraction Museum

👍👍 It is an amazing private museum. Marvelous collection of the Islamic arts (mostly jewelry and pottery). With one ticket (KWD 2), you can visit two museums. They are located about 5 minutes apart. The size of the museum is small, but the collection is huge. So, you really have to give youself enough... People often mention museum, collection, Kuwait, Islamic, visit, museums, great, jewelry, world, beautiful,

It is an amazing private museum. Marvelous collection of the Islamic arts (mostly jewelry and pottery). With one ticket (KWD 2), you can visit two museums. They are located about 5 minutes apart. The size of the museum is small, but the collection is huge. So, you really have to give youself enough time to look around. However, not so much of an information and explanation. I would love to know who the founder of the museum was.... etc. It is kind of sad that Kuwait government doesn't do much marketing for the tourism business. They have beautiful places like this museum, and it should be known to many people. I really hope more people come and visit these marvelous museums.

Didn't imagine the collection was as extensive as it is. Ticket included entry to the Caligraphy Museum one street over, which was also fascinating.

A must visit in Kuwait. It has an extensive and valuable collection of jewellery from different cultures. It also has a collection of pottery, authentic cultural garbs, musical instruments, utensils and weapons of different cultures. It has a section on coins. And many Islamic texts with beautiful illustrations done in gold and vibrant colours. Not for children below the age of 10. Not wheelchair friendly. And parking needs to be done a little further away. 2 kd entry per adult. Opens by 9 am. You can happily spend a couple of hours if u give it a thorough go and read everything !

A masterclass museum showcasing a great collection of history from the Arab world. The museum had pottery collections, firearms, clothing attire, Qurans, and many more. The best part of the museum is a recent addition just added by the Rajab family themselves, it’s a massive diorama of the Battle of Hattin. The family has hand crafted every piece, and it’s honestly the museum’s best piece. Very few museums in Kuwait go at lengths to document Arab history like the Tareq Rajab Museum does. This is a must see for all history lovers, as well as anyone looking to further their knowledge on the Arab world and its many stories, characters, and beautiful pieces.

Highly recommend this museum! I especially loved the armor, flint lock guns, and swords from the Ottoman Empire, Persia, India, and more...There's also a great collection of Holy Quraans and other Islamic artifacts. The diorama of the Battle of Hattin is well worth the visit alone. It's unlike anything I've seen in a museum before, and the great care put into it's creation is abundantly clear! 10/10 Definitely worth the visit for those living in Kuwait or visiting from abroad.

Really impressed with this museum. The diorama of the Battle at Hattin is incredible, maybe one of the best you’ll ever see. So much care and effort has been put into the museum and the preservation of the thousands of pieces displayed here. I especially appreciate the ancient Islamic manuscripts, the costumes and jewelry, pottery, and musical instruments from different cultures. They have an extensive collection of swords, armor, and firearms. A good bit of history about the founders as well who led such interesting lives. You can easily spend hours here, highly recommend a visit!

Very good, great collection of historic artifacts (lots of jewelry) with original reigon indicated. Includes: Arabic, Islamic, North African, East & West Asian, some Eastern European. Photography is 🚫 prohibited. Many Quranic and Islamic manuscripts as old as 5th century. Weapons. traditional old garments ... And other artifacts. It's a good size museum. Unfortunately; I was the only one there. I wish people appreciate art & history little more. Entry is 2 k.d. about $7. Worth visiting.

A must-visit for every Kuwaiti, Khaleeji, and visitor coming from abroad! It seems like such a small museum space from the outside, but as soon as you walk down the stairs, you enter a labyrinth of hallways and rooms filled with an impressive collection of ancient artifacts, manuscripts, and costumes. Very well maintained, too! The Tareq Rajab Museum of Islamic Calligraphy is also next door, so be sure to check it out!

A must-see cultural museum in Kuwait. A great private collection of cultural items including cloths, jewlery, musical instruments, weapons, coins and more. The private collection was collected from all over the east and open to the public.

This culturally significant museum is a historical artefact in itself. The renovations have done well to pay homage to and continue reviving the tales of Islamic and Arab history. I particularly adored the new entrance leading up to the collection, which reflects the passion and effort behind the museum’s establishment.
