Staying at Safir hotel wasn't out of choice; our Kuwait Airlines layover was overnight. Negatives: It's very isolated and there is no store in the hotel, meaning of you don't already have it, you're kinda stuck. And with carry on restrictions seemingly on the rise, it's a little frustrating. The rooms are designed with two twin beds, yet there's only one set of toothbrushes and one spare blanket. The temperature control only goes on cold, it doesn't heat, and in the winter that's a little unpleasant. The staff doesn't feel particularly friendly. Plusses: The food, for a 3- star hotel was good.

Safir Airport Hotel is nice. I stayed for 12 hours transit. Food was amazing still mouth watering, one kind of yellow custard so taste. Nice and clean rooms. Front of the Hotel lounge are nice money plants.

Durning my flight from Dhaka to London I have to stop here for transit. As my layover is over 8 hours they offers me a hotel room & free buffet. The room was clean and tidy. Food was good. All stuff was helpful. You can use this excellent opportunity of complementary hotel in case of long layover during flight.

Forced to stay overnight because missed connections, hotel is presumably owned by the airline and you stuck at the end of the runaway with only the planes landing and taking off to keep you entertained!!

Safir Airport Hotel is a typical airport hotel. It is inside the airport premises. Therefore, it mainly accommodates transit passengers and airline’s crews. There is a large restaurant and a swimming pool. The restaurant offers good meal. The rooms have basic amenities, and give a good view of the airport. The linens were fine. However, the staffs lack basic attitude of service. The behaviour of the front desh was very irritating.

During a stopover in Kuwait on my way to Dammam, Kuwait airlines gave me a over night status at this location of Safir Hotel. Shower needs to be improved.

It's great! Food is very good, room is comfortable, and the staff is super nice. Small note that the air conditioner didn't properly heat up the room in my room because it's "winter time only for cooling..." but other than that, it's great!

Honestly, it's better to just stay in the airport for your 13 hour layover than come to this miserable place with its freezing cold rooms that remind you of prison cells, and food that will be memorable for life as probably the worst meal you've ever had.

The reception staff needs some serious customer service skills. The catering team is good. Food was alright. There is no double bed in any room as told by reception. The main lobby and dining area are nice.

The hotel located inside the airport, away from the terminals. When you have transit time more than 8 hours on Kuwait Airways, they gives you a room there to rest and to have a good meal. The room is clean and had 2 single beds, bathroom is clean. The restaurant offering open buffet, they have different kinds of food. The looby is nice and wide.

I was not able to take many photos in this hotel. The hotel is very simple. Buffet breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner were served at a given schedule. People here are also accomodating and friendly. Please note that if you have more than 8 hours waiting for the connecting/transit flight, the airport staff will transfer you the hotel which will help you to rest during your waiting time. Bus or coaster is also provided to transfer you from the hotel to airport visavis.

This hotel is located I. Kuwait City airport. They tried to keep my passport upon checking. I flipped. They gave it back expeditiously!! Room smelled like 60 unbathed grown men. I slept in ALL my clothes.

I was on a layover at Kuwait International Airport which lasted for 24 hours. The rooms were excellent and clean with TV, Air conditioning and private bathroom. Although I was still at the airport, the quietness was great and I did not hear the noise of planes and ground operations. The building includes a spacious and luxuriously furnished dining hall. The food is a complete buffet. All staff at the reception and the hotel speak English very well. I liked the hotel's willingness to provide medical service to the guests. It was a great and fun experience.

Poor service and hospitality Rooms provided were not clean and previously used litter was all over the place. After repeated requests clean rooms were provided. No general store/ shop or pharmacy available so be ready if you want to get any medicines or even a toothpaste it will not be available.

It is certainly a very good initiative and policy of Kuwaiti Government to provide transit accommodation for those who have more than 8 hour transit. My wife and I had an opportunity to stay in Safir Airport Hotel on our way to England from Nepal. For us everything was excellent from moving from Airport to Hotel, checking in at Hotel, food and staff behaviour. We can’t ask any more. Thank you everyone who are associated to it. It was very good. May be this facility is one of a kind.

We were put up in this hotel by the airline as we missed our connecting flight and after spending over 24 hours in different airports, we thought we were in a better place but the food was terrible and we ended up with an upset stomach. Room gets cold and the hotel is manned by extremely unfriendly managers. Ground staff (room service / dining) were more humane and helpful.

Facility was amazing but the transfer manager on the bus was extremely rude. Waiting at terminal gate for 2 hours before the bus took passengers to the hotel. Transfer to Terminal from Hotel was scheduled at 1330 hours but rushed at 1320 hours, when guest was having lunch.

We had a 24 layover due to a delayed Kuwait airlines flight. It's an airport hotel in transit so you can't go outside. Rooms ould do with a better choice of tv channels as it is a transit airport hotel and there is nothing else to do. Food was plenty (buffet) and if decent quality. Rooms very clean andcthe staff was overly friendly and accomodating. A pleasant surprise.

Shuttle Service not very well enforced for pick up and drop off passenger at Gate B1. First Time I waited over 2 hours for pick up and drop off. Second/This Time I've been waiting for over 4hours and counting for pick up. Recommend an On call or at least every hour shuttle service operation To and From the Hotel and Gate B1.

Very minimal hygiene I even found long strands of hair on my bed which makes me believe the beds where not even changed. But should say the food was very good . And the pool looks amazing but didn’t have the courage to go in it . I doubt the last time they changed that water would be when it was built . If they don’t change the bed spreads I expect the worse .

Galena, good food, nice hard bed. Shower is the smallest I’ve ever seen, but not bad for a quick stay!

Can be better in terms of service and food. The hotel is on the outskirts of the airport. When we first arrived, we couldn't find any water and accidently found a small drum in the corridor. This finished quicky and the only place to get water was in the restaurant in the bottom floor. The breakfast was good but lunch was not up to standard. They served in buffet dishes that weren't even kept warm and the food was cold as a result. Room was comfortable.

To be honest, the room was really clean. But if it should be well described, it's important to mention that the room misses many items such as a side chair and a small fridge and the AC was too noisy. For the buffet, could have more variety with better taste. Not appealing!

Excellent place to stay should you miss your connection at Kuwait airport. Very clean with spacious rooms. Food isn't great yet not a big issue since its an airport hotel. The native staff however should have some proficiency in English as well as manners since they are dealing with guests.

Very nice hote. It is located in Airport. If you have more then 10 hours halt then you can choose this hotel. Food is also very testy and Indian food also available. Swimming, GYM, Tables tenis and other games are also available in the hotel. Staff behaviour is really very nice. Most of Indian staff available there. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner available. After a long journey we found something like India. 😃 Must visit if you have more than 10 hours halt.

Decent hotel layout but you are trapped like a prisoner. No stores or anywhere to buy snacks or any other amenities. Free water and coffee but that's about it.

  • 2/5 Ravneet S. 2 years ago on Google
Rooms were okay. Didn't have charging spot as they it's for international travelers. Food wasn't good at all and expensive. Won't recommend it to anyone the only reason it's still in business because it's airport hotel. Not recommended at all.

Like a travel lodge but accessed from the runway. Can constantly hear planes taking off and landing obviously so no good if you are a light sleeper.
