One of the few places in kuwait that has identity... I hope the new replacement of the burned down area keeps the spaces spirit and not insert random architecture and call it local...

Oldest Souq in Kuwait 🇰🇼, souq mubarakiya. I have visited many times whenever I go to Kuwait City. This place is famous for varieties of shopa. And I also like to walk around for sightseeing.

Great market halls to find many items for gifting or even to wear. Great food as well, inside and outside the market. I went in day and at night but night time was my favorite. Kuwait City has amazing lighting throughout and this market was no exception.

There are some good bargains to be had but sometimes you have to search a bit. The vendors are always willing to haggle a little. The variety of fresh fruit looks absolutely delicious! I'll definitely return.

Definitely come here during the night than daytime. It has more lights and crowds and it looks much prettier. It will take you quite a while to walk through the busy markets and streets but definitely worth it. Traffic is bad so park somewhere close by and walk or take a taxi or public transit.

I really enjoy cultural places and I like this market. I was nervous the things were going to be unaffordable and on the newer side there were things that were highly overpriced but the older side had lots of nice affordable things. I bought a beautiful shawl.

Great place to go when it comes to tourism. There are so many places in the souk that you can take your family too. For example, a fish market, many bakalas, fruits and vegetables stalls. Also there is an Iranian restaurant in the western side of the souk called Al-Shemam which is a really nice place to eat there.

Mubarakiya is the "Bazar" place of Kuwait. You can find a bit of anything and everything. local stuff, vintage things as well as hand made items. There's an excellent fruit and vegetables market, and a fish market. There's an entire street full of shops that sells all kinds of dates. A must if you haven't seen it before. Since it's an outdoor market, try to visit when the weather is nice.

(Translated by Google) Al-Mubarakiya Market .. The soul of the country is in a body, and even if it has been restored, it remains old, closer to its first image, and if the buildings and towers around it reach out, besiege it with its glass façades, then it remains there, in the heart of Kuwait City, in a time not related to ours. Simplicity to it, and the same spirit ... with the scent of oriental perfumes, incense, and henna ... the smells of Indian spices ... the breath of the Gulf fish ... the flavor of popular sweets ... the fragrant fruits and vegetables in their different shapes, types and colors. The voices of the vendors in it form a mixture in which the dialects melt between Kuwait, Egypt, Yemen, India, Persia and the Levant. ⁣ . (Quoted from the writer Saud Al-Sanousi) (Original) سوق المباركية.. ⁣ . A Market where every tourist goes. Though the market is new but built to look like the Old Market (AKA SOUQ). A must visit. It has something for everyone, including a Minimum Museum. Best time to visit is in February. During February, it is lit like Christmas and filled with Festivals and offers. I've taken umpteen number of Tourist groups there and talked about the History while giving the Tour. You should join me sometime, my next group visit is coming up very Soon.

It is a traditional shopping center. Cool shopping mall and dining hot-spot with many different dining options. I Highly recommend visiting it in the morning. It gets crowded and full of people from all over the city in the afternoon. Most shops and restaurants there open at 9. It includes shops that sell kids toys, kids clothes, women hyjab, men clothes, traditional Kuwaiti food, traditional Kuwaiti sweets, perfumes, spices and everything you can think of. It is incredibly huge. There is a section for selling gold and jewelry. There is also a section for selling meat snd fish. It also has vegetables 🌶 and fruits 🍉 🍎 🌽 🫕 One of the nicest outdoor shopping centers I have visited. They have food and beverage stores, and entertainment as well. It is nice to walk around in the morning but, it can be so much crowded as well.

By far one if cleanest and safest souk i have ever been to- good variety of shops and ideal to find typical middle Eastern traditional items. This is NOT a tourist trap as i mostly saw locals attending in the 2-3 times i went there and tourists also feel welcome. There is a lovely iranian fish restaurant in the market and the experience was exquisite, just check the pictures !

In all markets, you see a bit of the local culture. Here, overall in the evenings, seems that you can find the life of the city. Big place, so, also for sightseeing, give it at least a couple of hours. If you sit for a tea or a dinner, it is even better.
