First of all there are 2 locations for wadi al muwjib on google maps. And this is the correct one. The other one is wadi al muwjibs Dam, where there are no trips, its just a dam. Very nice place to visit. 15JD for Jordanians, 18JD For residents and 21JD for Foreigners. These are the entry prices which includes the safety Vest. You can get the water proof bag for phones for an extra 10JD, and then you have to return it back. I don't recommend it to children or to elder people unless you have enough stamina to walk and hike in the water and rocks for 4 Kilometers approximately. Very nice in the summer, because the water is a bit cool. It opens from 8 AM - 4 PM. Preparations: - i recommend going in a car or with a trip organizer (will charge more). - i recommend wearing a long light trouser. I wore shorts and the fishes in the water were pinching me all the time. Very irritating. - wear a shoes inside the trip with textures so it gets a good grab on the rocks when climbing. Also get a pair of slippers so when you get out, you'll get comfortable after. - they tell you and warn you about getting your phone inside. You can take it, it's not that serious. however, make sure you get a water proof bag with it. - also get a spare t-shirt and trousers or shorts. Because when you get out, you will be wet.

What an awesome slot canyon adventure! Suitable for all levels, just take your time and don’t rush. There are some areas which require a bit more skill than others, but it is so worth trying! Go very early as the trail gets crowded quickly, and since it’s one way in and out, you will spend most of your day waiting if you go later in the day.

(Translated by Google) Because it is a wonderful place, so when you go down the valley you see the water and fish walking from under you and above you you see the foot of the mountain. Either the best thing when you climb the valley and this is the most beautiful adventure. Everyone should visit this beautiful and picturesque place (Original)

Please note that actual trip starts at the Wadi Mujib Visitor Center, which is located more to the east, very close to the Dead Sea, so please navigate to there. In May 2023, we had the opportunity to visit Wadi Mujib, a spectacular location offering unparalleled natural beauty and thrilling adventure. The journey started from Israel, near Beit Shean in the morning, and ended just as the day was wrapping up. For those with a fondness for adrenaline-filled outdoor activities and the serenity of a desert backdrop, the Arnon River experience is truly unrivalled. This adventure, which is exclusive to individuals 18 years and older, involves a moderately challenging hike, climbing against the water current and tackling small cascades. We embarked on the Siq trail, a journey that takes roughly 2-3 hours, immersing us in the magnificent spectacle of a canyon teeming with vibrant, flowing streams. The towering canyon walls, adorned in shades of red, brown, and yellow, reach up to 100 meters, at points almost meeting overhead to create an impressive slot canyon. The stunning combination of the brilliant turquoise river and the multi-hued walls offers a sense of exploring a living canvas of nature's artwork. While navigating the trail, the water level often varied, sometimes demanding a bit of swimming. This added a thrilling dimension to our experience, making it more akin to canyoning rather than a mere hike. It was, without a doubt, one of the most enjoyable and visually rewarding canyoning experiences we've undertaken. Despite our visit on a particularly hot day, the cool water and the shade provided by the tall, encroaching canyon walls ensured a pleasant temperature throughout. The trail was well-marked and straightforward, eliminating the need for a guide. Conveniently, ropes are already fixed at necessary points, so there's no need to bring your own. Bear in mind that in the summer months, the last admission to Wadi Mujib is at 3 pm. We wholeheartedly recommend this incredible canyoning experience. It is more than just a trip; it is a profound encounter with the awe-inspiring wonders of nature.

One of the most exciting places in Jordan. Perfect during summer with many activities like hiking and climbing and more. You can choose the normal (easy) track without guide or many other guided tracks, visitors center will provide you with life jackets. You should wear comfortable cloths and shoes, and bring a waterproof bag to keep your camera and mobile dry and safe. Check their website before you go to be sure if they are open or not especially during winter and raining days.

Quite pricey but this is a canyoning experience. Life vest is included in the 22 JOD entrance fee. Helmet would have been mandatory in Europe for this kind of activity… Not recommend for everyone as there is some climbing to do and from the beginning the water is quite deep. The trek until the waterfall and back last around 2 hours. Waterproof shoes are highly recommended. Experience itself was amazing, a must do in Jordan.

Get ready to do some canyoning in a breathtaking scenario. To do the Siq trail you really don’t need to bring anything with you except your camera and maybe a bottle of water. Don’t forget your dry bag ;)

(Translated by Google) Wadi Mujib or Mujib River, mentioned in the Torah as (Arnoun River), is a steep valley that flows into the Dead Sea and was in ancient times part of the northern borders of the Kingdom of Moab. 9 kilometers and up 11 kilometers. The Arabs called this valley the word “Mujib,” which is derived from “wajib,” meaning “it fell making a noise,” meaning that its waters descend emitting a roar, because the difference in height between its beginning and end is more than 1,300 meters. And he witnesses the deep chasm caused by earthquakes in distant times. Despite the ruggedness and awe of this region, its nature has a splendor and prestige that evokes deep feelings of respect for Mother Nature.

To be honest, Wadi Mujib was my favourite experience of my whole Jordan trip. You don't know what to expect and it is worth the money and time to get there. One thing I forgot to mention. You really need special shoes for this, those water shoes. They sell them there for 5 JOD. I really recommend them.

Great canyon. Very rich with marine fossils in all types, sizes and shapes. You can also find some minerals. And ancient ruins from different ages back to thousands of years. The valley is mentioned in the hebrew torah, There is a mid-size water dam and small river all the way of the valley to the dead sea. Most of the place is desert. But you can still find some green areas. Theres also some wild animals and birds. You can also visit wadi almujib adventure center for some canyoning. In general it's a very beautiful place to visit.

Arriving at 8:10, I started off leading the first group and so had an empty canyon in front of me. The difficulty rises the further you progress so it‘s easy to turn back if the going gets too hard. Mandatory life jackets are available for free and do a good job of keeping you warm and afloat. The water is warm. At several places, the water is deep so I swam and used the ropes to pull myself. Entry fee : 22 JD. Moving relatively fast and with few tourists, it took me 2 hours round trip to the fall (end of trail) and back. This is a place where it really pays off to avoid the crowd so come early.

One of if not the best experience I had in Jordan. Well organized, Astonishing path, the track is well managed, ropes Are available and placed where needed weather climbing up or down, deep water and against the current. My recommendation is to not take anything with you only water and light snack.

Amazing canyon - something similar to Utah slot canyons. In March you can walk the entire length dry. On the last km there is a rock obstacle that may be challenging to some - you can turn around once you see the rock the canyon opens up 200 meters pass the rock.

wadi mujib is fantastic place. just be careful when putting the directions on the map . sometimes google will take you to wadi mujib dam which is far away from the reserve. best idea is to search wadi mujib reserve and stick on the dead sea road.

An otherworldly experience! Incredibly beautiful. There should be a disclaimer regarding physical fitness. If one isn't strong enough, they create bottlenecks in and out. Otherwise 5/5.

Super nice the experience! We loved it but it was a bit expensive. Initially we went there to do just some hiking but we found out that it was a cannon that you ascend so better to bring proper shoes and a vacuum bag so you don't have to pay for it inside. After that we went in front to a hostel that prepared lunch for us and gave us the clay to use in the dead sea for a nice price so you can have the full experience there!

So fun! Take as little as possible , we didn’t need a guide - 21 Jd, take shoes you can wear in the water (sneakers or hiking boots are good) - you can rent water proof bags and phone cases - but I would hold the water proof bag up out the water if you have your phone in it just to be safe. Cool slides and climbs and waterfall!

Very amazing place ,approximately 3 hours adventure through narrow deep canyon with knee to head water level ,below 18 years is not allowed You only need to wear the life jacket. Don't bring anything else ,any bag will damage your joy. Drink water before you start and its enough. No need to carry anything

Wadi Mujib is an unexpected joy. We visited in the scorching summer sun of late August 2021. A few things to note. At the time of writing, only the self-guided hike was available as the other routes were closed for safety reasons. I would recommend buying the shoes on offer (5JD) as they will be much more comfortable to walk in than your regular trainers/boots. The trail itself is very straightforward and you will not get lost. However, despite the presence of guides at choice points along the route, it isn't entirely safe. You could very easily slip and hit your head and get yourself into a spot of bother. Only attempt if you're in good shape. There are two cool natural rock slides with guides to give you a push. The water is warm (!) but refreshing. Little fish will give you a free pedicure if there are any stray hairs on your feet. The whole hike takes about two hours return. Water levels vary from ankle deep to 3-4m deep with guide ropes (a lifejacket is compulsory). Entry is 21JD. Get yourself a dry bag for your stuff e.g. phone for taking pictures.

The canyon is such a beautiful area, I will recommend to arrive at the opening ho it so you can enjoy the canyon by yourself. A life vest is provided but if you can bring water shoes and/or a sealed bag for your stuff. I got these two at the counter however, please bring cash and check that they give you your change ad they “might forget”

one of the magical spots we ran across on a family trip to some wadis in the area a few years back. coming from the other side of the dead sea, we were thrilled at seeing the landscape we knew from home, just full of frothing, hot water. the kids were delighted to say the least. not for everyone btw, some spots are hard to get through

Perfect for adventure lovers, I did the siq trail today and it is way beyond my expectation. There are several waterfalls on the way and is definitely a thrilling experience, guide wasn't really needed cause there are staff at the "hard" section to help tourist. Though I still recommend going in groups. The landscape is definitely amazing, and the way back is basically a waterslide so relaxing!!!
