I’ve
walked
past
5
Sentidos
many
times
and
was
always
impressed
by
the
overall
design
and
look
of
the
place,
but
was
too
intimidated
to
walk
in
because
it
“looked”
expensive.
After
reading
some
good
reviews
online,
I
decided
to
take
my
fiancé
on
a
date
there.
I
walked
up
to
the
hostess,
who
greeted
us
with
a
big
smile
and
kindly
asked
if
we
had
a
reservation.
We
told
her
we
didn’t
and
she
said
that
although
there
was
no
seating
available,
she
would
check
to
see
if
an
upcoming
reservation
was
still
going
to
show.
Thankfully
for
us,
they
were
able
to
seat
us.
Our
server
Yanette
was
very
friendly,
knowledgeable
about
the
menu,
and
speaks
English
as
well.
We
started
with
the
Blue
Fish
Tartar
(6CUC)
and
a
couple
of
Mojitos
(3.50CUC)
before
ordering
a
delicious
bottle
of
Spanish
Tempranillo
Wine
that
was
only
30CUC.
As
our
main
dish,
we
had
the
chicken
masala
(pollo
masala)
10CUC
and
the
stewed
lamb
(Cordero
estofado)
11.50CUC.
The
sauce
in
the
chicken
masala
was
delicious.
The
curry
flavor
was
not
overwhelming.
The
lamb
was
just
about
the
most
tender
lamb
I’ve
had
in
a
very
long
time
and
did
not
taste
gamey.
Although
the
portions
are
not
huge,
the
quality
and
flavors
are
impeccable
and
the
prices
reflect
the
amount
of
food
you
get.
For
example,
the
lobster
tail
is
16CUC.
If
you
think
that’s
expensive,
well
then
you’ve
probably
been
street
food
for
the
most
part.
If
you’re
looking
for
a
classy,
full
flavored,
affordable,
and
elegant
dining
experience
in
Havana
with
very
good
customer
service;
then
you
need
to
come
to
5
Sentidos.
