It's located on the side of the road. Easy to miss as it is a small hole in the wall cafe. Parking is iffy as there is no dedicated parking spot. Seating inside available for seven people in a bar style counter. Coffee is really good and staff are very friendly. Service is very fast as well.

A nice, quaint coffee shop with great tasting coffee. The music, the ambience and the coffee transports you to another place. Once you are in the shop, you won’t know you are in Chennai. Every city should have a coffee shop like this. The seating is comfortable, the staff is courteous and the service is too good. Must visit and this will become a regular with me.

Amazing ambiance and the coffee here is the best in town. Best of all it’s competition and I’m a guy who constantly keeps visiting cafés a lot. Try the iced cafe late my personal favourite

Best coffee in town! Artisanal and perfectly crafted. The lack of syrups and toppings on the menu tells you that they are serious about coffee, and coffee aficionados should give this place a try. The hand drip coffee is highly recommended. The temperature is perfect and the coffee is smooth with amazing bouquet. I am lucky to have met the owner, Hirano san. He sources the beans from a farm in Karnataka, roasts the beans himself and even the baked products are home made too. The interior is clean and minimalist. A breath of fresh air from the busy city.

The place is very small, but also extremely well done. The space is utilised well, and we were happy with the service and beverages. The affogato is a must try.

Visited the place due to its social media hype… The joint is very very small and can accommodate only 5 to 6 people and it feels very congested… We ordered 1. Iced coffee which was basically just the espresso with water and ice.. it had no flavour and was just water without taste of coffee 2. Cappuccino- was good but the flavour of coffee wasn’t evident at all The prices are too high compared to the quality n quantity of coffee provided

Super pretty little neighbourhood cafe. Really nice staff. Awesome place to grab a cup of coffee early morning. They sell Moca coffee maker as well. Ambience is super cute.

Coffee Trotter is a small, cozy cafe that you want to visit on a cool, drizzly day with a book in hand. Their bar stool type seating is perfect for a solo traveler. The women who make the coffee so perfectly are very professional, kind and welcoming (They always ask me “Would you like a cup of water?” As soon as I enter. Small thing but very important!) Every coffee I have had here has been excellent - Cortado / Cappuccino or Mocha. They do not make a Flat White though. Please skip the Starbucks nearby and make Coffee Trotter a habit when you have that caffeine craving

I bought two kinds of grined coffee, One is french roast, the other is high roast. They are aromatic and fresh. I can enjoy filter coffee at home

Great coffee and location. Place is pretty small and some people Take calls / work from there. The staff is pretty kind and hospitable, special shout out to Asmita who served us very kindly. Would be good for this place to expand.

A small cafe located in Alwarpet. The menu is limited. The cappuccino I had was delicious. The ambience is also pleasant. The staffs were sweet and polite and asked all those who went there if they need a glass of water. Definitely worth visiting.

This place is one of a kind! Amazing coffee that isn't heavily overpriced and the quality is oh so good. Personally, the 1969 pop music playing inside made me fall in love with this cosy place

Every time I visit new coffee joints I get a new kick. And this time it's from Coffee Trotter, they have the best coffee in city right now. Very small joint but it's worth and I should say one of the kind right now in Chennai. They also sell the coffee makers and beans. We are lucky to get CT now.

Small and friendly place. It's more like a neighbourhood cafe. Because when I went there, I could see that everyone knows everyone. Their filter coffee is good. Not a strong one but the flavour is powerful. Black coffee is light in taste and flavour—a typical V60 brew but a refreshing one. I prefer more robust taste notes. Their Poundcake is a must-try. It complements the coffee and is very yummy.

An absolute fantastic place, love the fact that it's small, cozy and has few but most definitely fantastic items. Its addictive to visit. Definitely try the banana pound cake :)

Couple of reasons I am rating 1-star. Will revise the rating once corrective actions are taken. 1) I ordered hot chocolate. For the price-point, expected a rich flavour/high quality ingredients, which was missing. The beverage was served lukewarm, almost cold. 2) Have noticed chain-smokers just outside the shop-floor which defeats the store ambience, and certainly not conducive for children and the elderly to visit the shop.

Today spotted this small cafe in Alwarpet next to Sithrangen street. Very small cafe (like cafeteria in south Asian countries) but good ambience, neat, clen and well setup. We ordered Iced Cafe Latte and we loved it...perfect coffee aroma and milk blend. Would suggest to have one such small cafe in OMR or ECR, as well.

One of my new favourite coffe place in the town. They are a no nonsense, focus on the coffee sorta spot and the ambience also compliments to it. A cozy little place with can probably seat a maximum of 6 persons, gives off a great vibe. --> Trotter Coffee - 4/5 Perfectly brewed south style coffee, they make it strong btw, leaves a nice satisfying feeling/aftertaste. Best enjoyed in a relaxed unwinding way. --> Iced Cafe Latte - 5/5 Perfect.

👍 The lassi was thick and cool. It had a very refreshing taste. They had blended it well. The informal seating space is a very nice addition to the whole setting. Unknowingly it makes the place very accessible to all kinds of people. The pricing also complements that. If possible they should start it...
