One of the oldest monuments in southern Albania, founded in the late 13th century, this Byzantine-orthodox monastery is known for its architecture, icons and frescos and to have celebrated the marriage of Skanderbeg, the national hero of Albania.

Ardenica Monastery is an Eastern Orthodox monastery, located 18 kilometers south of Lushnjë, Albania, along the national road that links Lushnjë to Fier. A nice place to walk away from the noise urban lifestyle.

AMAZING, HUMBLING, BEAUTIFUL, FROM 1282, BUILT BY A BYZANTINE EMPEROR. The monks make "THE KING OF OLIVE OILS" 🫒 as well as organic amazing, super tasty lemon 🍋.

Superb, old nice and beautiful monastery. The day I visited it there was a baptism of a little child and I had the chance to see the rituals. I loved the atmosphere 🙏

Small monastery with a nice history. Built on the foundations of a pagan temple.

Pretty amazing to see the location that is over 700 years old and where Skanderbeg got married.(Always Remember!!!)

Really nice, but would strongly recommend the one in Voskopoje.
