Very bad quality! Blood inside the „meat“. Dont go there if you won‘t geht ill.

Excellent local spot to have lunch or dinner in Aveiro city center! We found it randomly and ended up having one of the best meals we had in Portugal and with very cheap prices for the quality of food and wine. The veal meat was one of the best I've had. Highly recommended! We will be back :)

Fish soup with croutons was great and tasty! Fried sardines and baked bean rice with bacon bits for 6 euro is amazing. The sardines are fresh. Nothing I can fault!

Locally known for their “Prego no Prato” O Augusto offers a tradicional Portuguese environment at a slightly higher price tag. The price tag is justified by the location, the food and the service. Highly recommend even with the construction going on nearby.

It was a perfect experience. The waitress was very agile and fast. It is a local restaurant, it's not for demanding people. We enjoyed every type of food, particuraly the beef meat!

Funny place. Really "local". Cheap and very local food, staff is in big rush. Truly Portugese/Aveiran experience. It is not luxury place, but it is worth it to visit it. It was reccomended to us by our local landlord. Must see, must try. But be ready for wierd combinations of food - potato chips, rice, egg and meat for example. Quality of food is great. Staff was nice, but really in rush, not much time to talk or smile.

Starter octopus was so good, but main dish, fish not good, so fat. Rice with bean isn’t in my type. Verde wine correct. One minus is order waiter. He was very loud and go to tables many times.

Food wasn't tasty. Fried cod with rice and beans was bad, we liked only salad with octopus for starter. Good vinho verde. Price for this quality is too high. Waiter was nice. I won't back here.

Don't expect much- simple food but cooked well. Fresh octopus was excellent. Other options during low season simply meat with rice and chips. Family-run, nice people. Quick and easy, nothing fancy

Amazing! I've been here twice in two days it's so good. It looks like quite a lot of local people eat here and that's always a good sign. I was directed here by a very friendly local who said the meat dishes were great and I was not disappointed. The fried beef steak with potatoes and egg was just perfect. I asked for the steak rare and it came just how I like it. I tried the fried hake tonight on the recommendation from the waitress and it was really good. It reminded me of the fried fish at home. Just superb! The staff are super friendly and often talk and take time to enjoy a laugh and a smile with the customers. The way bar staff would do with a close knit local pub. I'll be coming here all the time, it's extremely reasonably priced. A full meal with a drink, coffee and dessert is around 20-25 Euros. They definitely feed you. For that price you'll get great service, great food and very full stomach.

If you are like us and unfortunately miss the lunch cut off in all the other restaurants then this is the only place you can grab something to eat. We got fried herring and cod. Oil just drips from the cod, I personally cannot enjoy overly fried and greasy food. The herring was okay. The fries are more like chips, again no flavour and super oily. The staff were awesome.

We had a truly great time here but probably also hit it on a great evening. The guy working there was super happy and nice and comped us some hors d’oerves, the food was very good, the beer was ice cold and to top it off someone at a neighboring table was having a birthday so we got champagne and birthday cake and met some really nice locals!! Tip top service.
