Rick is an outstanding wealth of knowledge regarding the exotic animals he stewards and sells. I purchased my bearded dragon from him 2 years ago and he continues to be a wonderful and kind resource regarding how to best take care of my dragon. The shop is spectacular and filled with beautiful well cared for creatures. I highly recommend this shop and am grateful for Rick and his expertise.

This place is SO cool and the owner Rick is truly a gem—so kind and welcoming and happy to share about all the amazing animals in the shop. I went in with one small question and ended up staying for an hour just looking at all the incredible animals and talking with Rick! Absolutely stop by and check this magical place out.

This guy has alot of cool pets he makes the buying experience simple and tells you exactly how to care for your pet we got a little black lion hair bunny for the family and he's very healthy and so adorable 💙💙💙my kids love him he easy to clean up after I would recommend going to this place if you are looking for something for the fam or even just to look around and see all the cool pets 👍👍

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I promise I’m not telling my life story here! I was recently in a car accident and I broke my femur. And on top of that my pet parakeet died as I was in the hospital recovering. I wanted to go look at some animals because those are my favorite things! So I did some research on pet shops to go to and I found this one. It looked really cool so I begged and pleaded my mother to go. After she finally said yes I dragged her out to Santa Fe. As soon as we entered we saw the owner (Rick)’s dog. He was the sweetest and most well behaved dog I ever done met.as I looked at all of the animals the one’s that really caught my eye were the macaw’s. In fact as I was cruising by them in my wheelchair one of them was here concerned on what my wheelchair was 🤣 All in all the best place to go to!! I absolutely love Rick he is awesome! So kind. If you’re in the blues come here!! You will not regret it!!!

Perfect place to get animals good prices and nice people I bought my hamsters 2 years ago and he still helps me and my sister take care of clipping their teeth and claws he lets us pet all the animals when we go even his dogs.

I have been there a few times. Most recently I left with a carpet python. I’ve been to many different exotic pet stores, but it is few and far between finding exotic pet stores run this well and with this much care. I will be recommending this place to everyone and this will be the first place I go whenever I have any exotic pet care needs or wants

Jurassic Pets is amazing! My daughter got a cockatiel from there yesterday and it is already so kind and tame. Rick, the owner, hand feeds his babies so they are already used to humans. In the store you get to hold the bird and they just sit in your shoulder while you walk around. He takes amazing care of his animals and customers. There are many birds, snakes, turtles, etc. I highly recommend going here if you are planning to get a pet.

We absolutely love Jurassic pets. Took our little one to the store a few months ago and we’ve been a dozen times since. The owner is very knowledgeable and helps us with any request we have. Will be back often, we love the reptiles and birds! Best pet shop in town and top ten best shops in general in Santa Fe!

Rick was very awesome and informative regarding our goffin’s cockatoo. We absolutely are in love with our new feathered friend. All worked out so well for us as we were on vacation and had to pick up our bird a few days after payment. :)

This is the most excellent pet store I have ever seen. He has everything. Exotic animals abound. He ships also. Want a tortoise? He has em. Macaw? He has three. Lizards, snakes, rabbits, fish, frogs, guinea pigs... He handles the animals so they are ready for a home. Tons of birds, of all kinds. Don't miss it if you are in Santa Fe.

Jurassic Pets is the best reptile store that I have been to in multiple states. Rick is extremely knowledgeable and will offer advice and tips for excellent care. His store is family friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend!

A had a Blast. I asked about the Biggest Venus Fly traps I've ever seen were real, the shop owner said everything in here is alive. Boas hanging from cool wooden chandeliers, fresh and salt water selections, parrots, bearded dragons, piranhas and chameleons. Nice walk around spread out atmosphere. Rick is the Best!

I enthusiastically recommend this place to all animal lovers. The pets that live here are very clearly cared for with love and respect for life. The animals are gorgeous and everything is so well tended. The owner is extremely helpful and informative. This is a professional yet very whimsical shop. Your inner child will be awoken when you visit. 11/10, will certainly expand my feathered and furry family here. 💖

Rick the owner is amazing! He was very caring for my situation and offered a wealth of advice. I can't begin to thank him for the extra special care he showed to me and my bird! This place is truly a gem to Santa Fe since feathered friends retired! I lost my conure of 8 years and I desperately need a companion for him because he was very upset. I took my bird into the store to make sure he would get along with the conure that was for sale. Rick didn't seem to mind my bird flying around... I felt so bad that my bird was misbehaving, but Rick was really cool about it. I brought the conure home and the two are brilliant together!
