Cheerfully and professionally checked into the emergency room! Yes Following…with CT scan and X-rays from a fall in my home. Dropped off in the patient space afterwards in a room with curtain/fabric dividers. Two spaces down was a coughing child with a sore throat, a whispers distance away, refusing a Covid test wanting a strep swab instead. Meanwhile, I am huddled in a box style recliner and bright overhead lights with a lightweight blanket waiting on results on X-rays and CTI scan with injuries from a fall. My lower back muscles, neck and head affected. I had to ask for ice for my lower side back swelling, had no recommendation for after care, was told I would be called about X-ray results…blah, blah blah….now home alone at 72 and trying to fill in with YouTube advice. The staff was very sweet however. They did forget about the tylenol pain relievers however… Tonight my neck is a wreck, unexpectedly along with everything else in between. I have no idea about the X-ray results I was told they would call about and cannot reach anyone…all options tried and no intervention. No answer to any options recommended. I wish I had the 2 Tylenol now!

My husband rolled his foot/ankle and needed to be x-rayed/treated. The ER was slammed. Kaycee Stahl treated him and was fast informative and took care of him. Total time was 2 hours. For as busy as they were, this was great! We could hear them treat patients around us and every nurse, doctor, etc was kind to the patients and really seemed to care. Thank you, LCMC staff, for caring about and taking care of my guy. ❤️

LABOR and DELIVERY, did such an amazing job! Very tentative to my wife and I as well as to our son. Shout out to Whynelle and both Jessica and Jess, the Jess’s! Everyone did such a great job!! And I have trust issues but we felt so safe and comfortable the whole time. Environment was super clean, neatly organized, we were very pleased. Also we were skeptical about the epidural but Dr. Kyle was literally perfect, my wife was so pleased and her back is painless. Great work team! Please stay motivated and helpful because we need more people like y’all in the world.

Well we ended up at this hospital. I would like to give props to our nurses Jennifer and Attie. Also Dr. Carley, young and great bed side manner very thorough. All though hospital experiences are not great, this staff made us feel very comfortable. All is good now.

My dad just had a hip replacement surgery here and he was released on the same day. We were very impressed with the nursing staff, anesthesiologist and the orthopedist, Dr. Purcell, who did an excellent job. I highly recommend them!!

Thank you Capitan Clinic, Suzanne and staff for their immediate care and help getting me to the ER. The wonderful and kind Emt's making my ride comfortable and safe and taking the time to check on me later in ER! To the ER Doctors and Nurses at LCM going above and beyond to make me well and confortable. Thank you Presbyterian for a great team here in our area. I am very thankful for you! God Bless you all.

I recently fell while on vacation in Ruidoso. My arm was cut pretty badly. We received very prompt and effective treatment. Friendly and efficient people .

I had my L. Hip replaced at the LCMC on Friday, May 26th. I wanted to take the opportunity to sincerely thank Dr. Richard Purcell, MD. and all his staff, epecially the nurses, Mini and Brenda, including Kyle, the Anesthesiologist, for the help they gave me during my brief stay. I arrived at the hospital at 6 AM and was released to go home by 12 Noon! The surgery included a spinal tap that was completely successful and probably contributed to my speedy recovery. I passed my physical theraphy with no problems and was released from the hospital the same day. the surgery was very successful. I am home now working with my physical therapist, taking my medication to reduce my pain, preventing infection and blood clotting. In my humble opinion, Dr. Purcell is an excellent orthopedic physican and provides his patients wonderful care. I was not aware that Dr. Purcell practiced orthopedic Hip surgery at LCMC as a part of the Presbyterian Medical Group and has been there for over 1 year. My own family physical did not know Dr. Purcell was a Hip Dr. in Ruidoso. I found out by accident from a colleague I have classes with at ENMU. Our small community needs to get the word out ASAP that LCMC have orthopedic Drs. for Hips, Knees and Shoulders right here in Ruidoso! Our Hospital is getting on the map and thankfully I avoided having to travel to Albuqureque, Roswell, Las Cruces, Texas, etc. to have this surgery done. The time and money I was prepared to spend would have cost me an extensive amount of unnecessary time and money for the same operation I got here in my own home town. All I can say is, Ruidoso residents and surrounding small towns need to wake up and investigate what medical services we have in our own backyard! Earl Gremillion
