Let me start with the wait staff are friendly. But that's about all I can say is good here. Everything is very spicy and bland. I had the enchiladas. The rice was tasteless and the enchiladas were just two soggy corn tortillas with something spicy in between. I most definitely will not be coming back and I suggest you save yourself $15 and go elsewhere.

The food was tasty but very spicy. We ordered the super combination plate and we got the Tuesday Atrisco plate. The Atrisco plate was good so I can't complain about the food. Just be careful about the food they bring out. As a side note when you do hit something spicy it will light your mouth on fire. The sopa that they gave with dinner is very tasty and with the honey is a great dessert after your meal.

Great food, loved the rice. Salsa is hot, Chile ok. They cleaned the table before I was done. I went to the bathroom and came back no food. They remade the plate for me.

While visiting. Albuquerque for the balloon festival, we decided to try this Mexican restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. Well let's just say it was just as good as it was described. The food excellent. The service very good. And even the drinks made by the bartender was good. Prices were reasonable as well. I had the menudo and the wife had cheese enchiladas. The chili was great as well. We do recommend and we will be back. 😊👍

Tomasitas is New Mexico! Recommend to out-of-towners all the time! Love both locations- Santa Fe and Albuquerque - same to me. Wonderful family-owned business. All dishes are delicious. Recommend it all- salad and Hamburgers included. Can't wait to go back! Update11/1: the chile was so hot and good!

First off, the atmosphere is overall great. It's hard to make intimate settings in a larger place but they definitely did it. The fireplace really makes a huge difference. The greeters were less than friendly but our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. Chips and salsa are not complimentary as is such in most places. But I can't complain with all of the business struggles. So we ordered them... The chips are by far the crispiest, most hefty chips I've ever had. My guess is that they cut up and fry yesterday's tortillas which makes a ton of sense. Not a huge fan of the salsa, it was very garlic and onion heavy, but that's just me. Their house margarita (I got rocks, no salt) is absolutely amazing! Definitely one of the best I've had, and I've had a lot! We ordered the super combination plate and the chimayo plate. They definitely do not skimp on portions! Taste was excellent and they aren't afraid to put too much Green Chile on top! Only complaint was that I could use hot sauce other than Tabasco like Cholula or tapatillo. Overall excellent food, it's different than most new Mexican I've had in ways but not necessarily a bad thing! Rice and beans definitely have a bit more of a refined taste, take it or leave it. Definitely recommend!

One of the most elegant restaurants I’ve been to and it’s a gem being that it’s New Mexican Food. Authentic New Mexico True Food. The same our grandparents would make us. I had a carne adovada burrito with an egg over easy- the best carne I’ve ever had Im so glad I went for this as time I had the Chile Relleno Combo which was immaculate as well. Blue corn Christmas enchilada for the win, the beans (frijoles) amazing, the rice could use some more seasoning it want so dry so overall good. And flautas always a hit. Chips and Salsa super good we had the freshest chips in a restaurant and we got there 10 min after opening right before the rush!

Food was okay. Kinda disappointed. Huge fan of the location in Santa Fe. Was please to see one in ABQ but it didn't match up to the quality of Santa Fe. The server was great though.

Amazing food and reasonably priced. The queso and salsa have a unique kick to it, the tacos were delicious, and the sopiapilla was fresh and warm with butter. It was very busy on a weeknight so our service wasn't quick but we were patient with our waitress as she was trying to keep up. The wife got a margarita that she said was great, too. Thanks for the great night out!

This has become one of our go-to place for New Mexican comfort food. The combo plate, Christmas style and chips and salsa are my favorites so far. Finished off with their delicious sopaipillas, I always have to take half of my meal home to leave room for them.

First thing we did after getting settled in our RV Park was head out for Tomasita’s. Friends of our had recommended it, and we couldn’t wait to try it. It was everything and more!! The Bloody Mary was exceptional; the salsa was spicy and full of flavor; the meal was incredible! You’ve just gotta eat here!!

This was our first time here. We ordered the Tesuque Stake and Tamela Blue Plate and it was delicious. The honey butter for the sopaipillas was amazing. For Desert we ordered Natillas and the Pinion Cheese cake and all I can say is WOW! We'll definitely be back.

I have been looking forward months for my trip to Albuquerque. And on to my to do list was to eat at Tomasita's. It was awesome. I had the super sampler and I'm glad I did. The sopapilla brought a tear to my eye, it was so good. And the green and red chillies are to die for. Bradley, my server was awesome. I can't wait to come back on my next trip to Albuquerque

Dined in Monday night 6p with a co worker. We were immediately greeted at the door and seated by a host. A server was promptly at our table. The place was fairly busy. I ordered the Monday blue plate special that comes with a cheese enchilada, chili relleno, hard shell taco, refried beans and rice. My co worker had the Carne adovada. The food came out fast and the presentation was good as it looked visually appealing. The food tasted great. The price was a little high. The inside decor was pleasant and appropriate. This was a great experience. I would definitely eat here again.

My wife and I came back to Albuquerque and wanted some authentic New Mexican cuisine. We were not disappointed. I ordered the roast beef burrito with green chile, and she ordered chile rellenos. Both dishes came out hot, served on Fiestaware platters, with so much food that we were challenged to finish our entrees. To top it off, they served our lunch with fresh, hot, large sopapillas. They were fluffy pillows of goodness that finished our meal with panache.

Our server was very nice and our food came out fairly fast. The portions are good and the price is hard to beat. That being said, the food was very bland. We tried the tamales, the enchilada, and tacos. The flavor was just… basic. The sauce covering the tamales was spicy but not in a flavorful way. It just tasted like straight heat. I rarely leave food on my plate, but I ended up finishing maybe half of the plate. I don’t think I’m unique in this opinion. The table next to our’s also left behind a good amount of food behind as well.

The food was great. Im vegetarian and I loved that they had options. The server even told me the posole had pork and to get rice. Everything was very tasty. I gave 3 stars for service bc no one came to my table until I flagged someone down. It was a very busy night, and when the server did come she was very nice and apologetic. The sopapilla and honeybutter were so good

We’ve been to Tomasita’s more than once. We are disappointed every time and I’m unsure why we keep giving them a chance. I think the biggest issue is that we are pescatarian. Vegetarian or pescatarian options are EXTREMELY limited. Some chefs do a really fine job of providing offerings on a traditional menu that are tasty and well worth the price, not Tomasita’s. We had their chips and salsa which, unlike practically every other restaurant on the planet, are not complimentary. The disappointment starts there, as they are consistently overdone. We ordered the vegetable enchiladas as our main. The pinto beans were just okay, I’m not a fan of their Spanish rice so only ate a bite and the enchilada itself was really bad. The high-moisture vegetables used make for a liquid filling, there was very little cheese and the amount of green chili (which I actually love) was overwhelming and had to be scraped off. Neither of us felt there was anything appealing. The enchiladas seemed to be a warm corn tortilla with filling slapped on and another tortilla slapped on top with cheese and chile. These ingredients weren’t cooked together like a real enchilada and were sorely lacking. The sopapillas are adequate but are served with the good, so are cold when you eat them which significantly diminishes their appeal. Unfortunately, we’ve given them their last chance and we won’t be back.

Excellent service. We were warmly welcomed in and seated. The manager came by to check on our table. Our waitress, Jade, was very friendly. Our appetizers came out right away. We didn’t have to wait long. The restaurant is conveniently located off I-25. A go-to stop for great steak and blooming onions.

Not Mexican food. Chips and salsa....chips cold, thick and old. Salsa was ok, spicy. Chile relleno was burnt....twice! Food was very bland. Tamale was dry as was enchilada. Sopapias were served with entree and were huge and bland and came with butter? WTH? Saving grace was the silver margarita on the rocks. Waiter was prompt and very understanding. Manager offered to have meal done over or a gift certificate. We chose neither and Mgr only charged us for alcohol. Staff was friendly but food just wasn't up to par.

I am extremely thankful this Albuquerque location opened! I enjoyed Tomasitas almost every week when I was in high school and college. Now, returning to visit NM in my 40's, it's exactly how I remembered it! 🥰

Great food and service, this is the Enchilada Trio with Red & Green Chile, blue corn tortillas and an egg on top. Excellent sopapillas and house margaritas as well!

Great local restaurant. Food was good and reasonably priced. Service was fast. Homey interior. Only negative was the salsa. I love spicy food, but this was offensively hot. Steer away from the chips and salsa, and you'll have a great meal.

I am so happy there is an Albuquerque location now! The food is SO good! The green chile has a nice bite to it and the blue corn enchis are a nice touch. Don’t miss the sopapilla with the sweet honey butter, it is to die for. The bartender Hailey and the tall guy were great company and fun to talk with.

Had enjoyed this restaurant in Santa Fe for years. Was thrilled to visit this Abq location on a recent visit to the Duke City. Ordered a la carte, as I always do at NM restaurants. And, of course, Christmas chili. Red especially fantastic.

This place is not at all Tex-Mex. Everything looked and tasted very authentic. I loved the complimentary sopaipillas with the honey and sweet butter. The Swirl Margarita was not as sweet as I hoped, so I added a packet of sugar. If spicy is not your thing, consider avoiding the red chile.

Outside of my husband's aunt's house this is the best New Mexican food you can go out and buy. The spice was on point not too spicy not too weak. The service was incredibly fast and the food was amazing 🤩. I've never seen a restaurant that be that busy but also that fast with quality food.
