The food was delicious! Service was outstanding! Once again the food did not disappoint. I had a stuffed sopapilla with an egg on top. It was terrific! The red chile was full of flavor and the sopapillas were fried to perfection.

I used to love Casa de Benavidez. I grew up on it and remember the carry out building before it was remodeled... ages ago. This place has absolutely tanked. First let's start with service. The kids they have working in carry out have no concept of customer service. I don't expect much. I definitely don't expect to feel like an inconvenience when I order something - but that's how I feel when I order from here. Next, the prices are absolutely absurd. A breakfast burrito is 9 dollars... And if you want to add cheese, that throws the cost over 10 bucks. The drinks are overpriced, and no... It does not include any refills. I can sort of justify paying 3 or 4 bucks for a soda if I get refills, but a single serve? It feels borderline greedy. Comparing my breakfast burrito with Blake's which is half the price, larger in size and better tasting - the choice is obvious. Money is tight for everyone right now and no one wants to feel ripped off over a simple breakfast burrito. Maybe things will change at Casa, maybe not. I would like to still have hope as they have been a staple in the community for as long as I can remember.

This my first time eating New Mexican food and I could not be happier. The out door seating has a great vibe with a waterfall in the background. The food was incredible and was only able to eat half of our food. Come hungry. Lastly our waitress Andrea made our experience even that much better. She goes above and beyond and truly makes you feel at home. The entire staff as soon as you enter the restaurant is so happy to see you. We travel the country in our RV and this is a must go to place from now on if we are passing through. @bbOnlyVans

Very Disappointing, This place use to be amazing. Staff / Owner use to be kind....NOT ANYMORE! I advised my server my lunch didn't taste good. My server advise me that my guacamole that touched all of my food was three days old!!!! (WHAT) I couldn't believe what I just heard... Our server stated that they could make me a fresh batch of guacamole. (WOW not fresh) I asked to speak with a manager, the Older women / owner was unkind and rude. An advised us there is nothing wrong with three day old guacamole. Well if it taste bad there is something wrong. DON'T eat here Before you order any food, ask them is this going to be made to order and is it fresh???? World Class Service / Food is no longer at Casa De Benavidez SAD DAY !

I ate a great New Mexican Mexican meal here today with my wife, baby, mother in law and mother in law’s cousin. I got the two person sampler meal to split with my wife and baby. We loved it! Definitely enough food for 4 people. We took half of it home. The sopapillas were also wonderful. Very light and fluffy. Perfect with some honey. My baby loved it.

What a place. The food was great. Large groups can also fit here. The rooms are all unique and the atmosphere is cozy. Our service wasn't that good, but the food made up for it. I will definitely be back to try some more. Totally worth it!

This is a tradition when we visit our family in Albuquerque. The salsa is amazing. I had the big sopapilla burger this recent time and it was one of the best burgers I've had. Wait time was a little long to get an outside table, but worth it. Expected due to the balloon fiesta and labor shortages so I don't hold it against them. We will go every time we visit!

Great food. We stop here every time we pass through Albuquerque. Even though they are having a time hiring staff we had zero problems.

We liked it so much we stayed an extra night! Exceptional service, wonderful breakfast. Check in closed at 7pm, we weren’t going to make it there until after 9. I called the inn and they worked with us to make the keys available. They also worked with us the next day to stay in the same room when we extended our stay. The place is spotlessly clean. The decor and room styles have been done with a great artist’s eye! If I’m back in Taos this is where I’m staying.

The only thing that made our visit here okay was the great server, and cool atmosphere. The food tasted like it had come from a bottle, can, or freezer with the exception of the salsa which is great. You can get comparable food at Stuffys and Taco Cabana at a better price. I am sorry I went anywhere but Sadie's for New Mexican food.

Good food and great patio section. Little pricey for breakfast cost $60 for three of us but we enjoyed being outside and the food was tasty.

We come here with our parents every once in a while. The food and service are inconsistent. The last three visits were below par. In my recent visit, I ordered 2 tortillas with my meal, and they were delivered cold straight out of the fridge. My potatoes were served cold and hard. The red chili was luke warm. My mother didn't want her potatoes and gave them to me. Her potatoes were the same under cooked. I ordered a to go plate for my husband, and he threw it out to our chickens. His food was undercooked. My husband got sick to his stomach for 2 days. It would be one thing if this was a fluke. However, it's more of a miss than a hit. My husband and I will not be going back. The outlandish prices they charge for a simple bean burrito are ridiculous. Beans, rice, potatoes, tortillas, and chilie are the cheapest ingredients. If we are going to pay a high dollar, the food and service should be above standards. If the food and service were awesome, we wouldn't mind paying. Remember, people pay for the experience.

Best food and service around! Our server Mercedes was amazing, smiling, happy and great with questions and advice. To the owners please keep her we've had different servers over our visit but Mercedes makes us feel so welcome and at home. Went on her recommendation for chicharone sopapilla was so good! We come here everytime we visit home always great food and service. We'll be back for sure!

Haven’t been here in a long time and what a treasure we have here ABQ! Had a great stop for lunch! Love the indoor atrium that creates patio ambiance in the cold weather and actually spicy green chile! (Rare now due to tourist’s taste buds) Great service as well. Will be back when the patio is open for sure!

Always excellent Sopa burgers with added onions and green chile on the side. Keeps the messiness down. I only go to the little cafe area on the east side of the restaurant. Only counter service, no table service which is fine. Just run in to grab a quick meal and leave. I usually call ahead that way my food is ready when I arrive. Hours are a little wonky and their no refill policy on sodas still kills me but oh well.

We hadn't been since before the pandemic. It was fantastic. Delicious 😋 my husband loved the steak. So nice seeing old friends. The music was so wonderful just like we remembered ❤ It was so beautiful. The friend we took was amazed by the beautiful atmosphere and said the food was soooo good. Thank you we'll definitely be seeing you again soon.

I love this restaurant. The staff is very nice and super attentive. They have different seating areas, so if you want to look outside or be in a dimmer lighted area for a more romantic setting, they have it all. Their food is delicious. I have never tried anything here that I didn't like. They also have great lunch deals, so if you want to go out but not spend too much, there is that option. The typical plate there is about 17 dollars otherwise.

This Restaurant offers a small coffee shop, & take out for fast meals, &/or dine in option with The family or a group! The wait to be seated for Lunch in was about 25 minutes and the servers were attentive. The food was NM Style, tasty, & the cost WAS average for this time. There is a full bar, but it seemed to be out of a few popular items. The view was attractive with greenery, & a bridge that goes over a Koi pond.

The service my family and I received today was beyond! Although, many restaurants are understaffed right now, Casa de Benavidez has found a way to make the best experience for their customers still. The servers were attentive, made sure we always had filled drinks and the food came out very quickly! No one looked overwhelmed and this was during the Ballon Fiesta rush. Well done everyone, very well done!!

Food is fabulous! There’s always a wait but that’s because they have the best food! What makes the wait not so bad is getting a margarita from the bar! The bartender makes great fresh margaritas! Not that sour mix kind either. We always go back even with our 3 littles!

Beautiful restaurant, both inside and the outdoor patio. The food is good, plentiful and reasonably priced. From the hostess to the server they were all very friendly.

Best chile rellenos, stuffed carne adovada with red chile and margaritas. Highly recommend!

Only thing I can say negative and to be fair with restaurants I shouldn't even downgrade for lack of help. I pay good money though for a nice enjoyable evening out and lack of service effects that. Good news! It's only a minor issue here. Do yourselves a favor and stop in for some great food, awesome drinks, and pretty good service!

Casa de Benavidez is one of my favorite restaurants in Albuquerque. Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. I particularly enjoy eating outdoors when the weather is nice enough.

Excellent food and service! Extremely clean!!!! Food is consistent and delicious. The lime margaritas are a must! Can't wait to dine outside on the beautiful tropical patio with koi pond!!! Back again last week, EXCELLENT! Great daily lunch specials. I had the beef fajita tacos & my friend had the daily special. Truly authentic Mexican food!
