Overall customer service is good but as a previous employee I believe most of the management unfit for their position. The store manager “Daniel” is unwilling to work with you. You aren’t allowed to talk to other workers and I have been personally told that I would be sent home if I continued to converse with my bagger. They expect you to slave away for mediocre pay. I and a manager have quit this week because of management. I enjoyed talking to every customer that went through my lane, you guys would always put a smile on my face.

The staff at the White Rock, NM Smith's Food and Drugh are ALWAYS friendly, professional, and helpful. Checkers Jean, Lisabeth, James, and Margaret remember me by name and ask for my family. Produce staff Patrick, Brandon, and the bald guy (I'm sorry I don't know his name go out of their way to assist whenever needed. The parmacy staff are second to none. Deb, Becca, Kathy, are great folks. Lastly, Jake in the meat department is a great guy. One one occasion, I forgot my wallet and while checking out I thought I'd have to leave my few items and return later. At that point Jake offered to pay my bill. It's nice to know there are still people like the Smith's crew around. Thanks.

I have been coming to this store for many years now. I remember when Smith's came to town. Anyway the staff always goes above and beyond to be kind, courteous, and helpful to everyone including those who have trouble getting around. They surprisingly know just about everyones name and truly try to let you leave feeling welcome. The store itself has the right amount of what you need including organic and gluten free items. Pharmacy staff is equal in kind. Thank you 😊 Sincerely, Heather Phillips

Options? There are no others when it comes to a grocery store in White Rock. Thankfully, it's not terrible. Smith's has a decent selection of just about everything you might typically need from your local grocery store. Selection ranges from bargain generic labels to name-brand organic labels. The selection of organic options and prices are fair. Just remember your Smith's rewards card to get the best prices. If your looking for something more specialized consider taking a trip up to the Los Alamos Co-op or the Smith's Market Place. In the evenings there is a quite a rush and the store can become busy when folks get off of work. At any given time you'll probably run into someone you know. I have always found the employees to be friendly and they are usually helpful when you need to find something or need help out to your car.

It's a small but full service grocery store. They always have what I need. The staff feel like neighbors and everyone is always friendly. Even though it's a full size store you can be in out as fast as a convenience store.

Place is great for quick grocery shopping, but could really use a new parking lot. Driving a cart to your car feels like taking it for a stroll on a washboard. Advise hand carrying carbonated beverages and don't put anything on the bottom of your cart or it will rattle out.

What's not to like is they always stop selling items that I like. These are items that used to sell out fast like Newman's Own pizza for example. So I have to go to a different store to get what I want. They also have a very limited beer selection. They do keep making fresh guacamole in the produce section and that's awesome, and the wine selection is not too bad. To be realistic, it's the only store in a small town and we are lucky to have it, and for that I am grateful. It's nice to be able to run and grab eggs and milk without having to take an hour to get it.

What's not to like? I came here to grab some grapes which were on sale, and I also like the "on sale" bakery rack in the back of the store for items that might not be super fresh anymore but are still fine! I grabbed a banana bread as well which was tasty. Lots of selection, clearly marked aisles, and self checkout makes everything good.
