Another hidden Albuquerque gem!!! Wonderful service! Everyone that works here is so kind and welcoming! They make you feel at home. I love all the options they have because finding a place to eat with 5 picky kids can be challenging but my kids LOVE the spaghetti (yes it’s amazing) and I love the steak fingers! If I wasn’t on the other side of town I would eat here way more often! Keep up the great work Mac’s!!!

Just had possibly the most perfect meal of my life here at Mac’s. I’m so happy right now!!Everyone was super friendly & kind, especially the lady who helped me with my takeout order. I got the steak fingers with cheese enchiladas & green chili, which came with beans & rice, lettuce & tomato, and two sopapillas with honey. I wanted an agua fresca, so she recommended that I go around the corner to Paleteria Cuauhtemoc. I had a short wait after I got back from the paleteria and it was more than worth it! I’m on a cross-country roadtrip and I can say that this is without a doubt the best food I’ve had on this trip. Everything was super hot, fresh, delicious & super flavorful. I got really nostalgic because I haven’t had sopapillas since I was a kid growing up in Denver and these more than delivered. Piping hot and fluffy...yum! The only minor change I would make to the meal is I would request extra lettuce & tomatoes next time, since I’m always looking for easy ways to eat more veggies. I rushed in to the bathroom when I first got there. It was clean & a one person bathroom, which I appreciated. One day I’ll make it to Hatch NM, but in the meantime I’m really glad I took a brief detour (~+18 min according to Google maps) from 40 East to satisfy my craving for green chili. I would love to come back next time I’m in Albuquerque. Thank you, Mac’s!! Y’all made my day & I’m going to be floating on this amazing experience for awhile🥺😋🥰

This was home town Cooking. The steak fingers AWESOME!! The service TOP Notch!! My Mom didn't read what came on her Indian Taco, but the server went ahead and changed the order to her specifications. No Sour, no beans, and sauce on the side(Christmas). The Server was on top of refilling our drinks Marvelously done. My Hubby usually downs his drinks and his glass was filled everytime. Well the kitchen specialty (I think) comes w 3 Steak fingers and 2 cheese enchiladas, beans n rice. Again steak figures the best. Chips n salsa good. The Indian Taco was good too. My cousin had a different platter with steak fingers and chuck tender the best was she said was the Chicken tenders. Really the only thing that needs to be changed is hand cut fries not frozen. Well the Parking isn't good for U- hauls and/trailers though. Hard to maneuver.

I was in a party of 4 at about 11 a.m. on a Saturday during Balloon Fiesta. The place was completely packed. We expected to wait. We were about the fifth party on the list to be seated. It took about 30 minutes to be seated, which wasn't bad for the time and event. The service was outstanding. Our drinks stayed topped off the whole time. I had the Steak Fingers and Enchiladas Special. The food was excellent! At first, the steak fingers didn't look like much, but they were delicious. I will be back and highly recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I have been coming here for over 20yrs now. Our family celebrates birthdays, anniversaries, father's day, mother's day and any other day we can. The staff is always friendly, courteous, and professional. They always have a smile on their face. Our food is always served hot, fresh, and fast. There's never much of a wait and the price of the plates is worth every penny. This is our favorite place to eat any time we decide to go out. Thank you for your service and hospitality.

Very nice place for a traditional Mexican breakfast. Service is good and the environment is great. You can tell the people who dine in here are locals. I did enjoy my meal here.

Welcomed warmly into the establishment. Front area diner type seating and a few booths and tables in the back/side eating area. Old school feel. Chips and salsa were brought out quickly and tasted good. We ordered the Carne adovada plate. Star of the show. Tender and flavorful. Rice a bit mushy and beans okay. Also ordered their steak fingers (staple of the establishment). Tender beef. Breading was a little soggy. Slightly bland not too flavorful. Fries were okay. Cole slaw was a bit warm and just tasted like cabbage and mayonnaise. Sopapillas were served fresh, tasted good and were a highlight of the meal. Servers were nice but their personal disagreements made for a little awkwardness. Food prices were good for a sit down meal.

1st time trying this place. Didn't disappoint, had the house club with fries. Big menu to choose from. Big variety of Mexican food. Big portions. My husband and I ate for only $45. Also included in the price was two Stella Artois. Meal so big had to bring 1/2 home. Extremely friendly staff, place gets busy, but staff makes sure to stop by table to make sure everything is going well.

Wow. I am so glad I found this place. It's a real easy spot to miss off the bustling Central Ave. But when you walk in, it's a nice quiet dim place with a big dinning area. The vibe is very laid back, dinner. Booths are comfy. Tables are big & ambience is nice. Food as awesome!!!!

Craving your Hispanic grandmas food then this is totally a place to scratch your itch. You want a fire meal that keeps you eating past your fill point, and leaves you wishing you ordered more? then this is definitely the place! We tried their steak fingers; which I will say blew my mind, paired them with a side of gravy and red chili, and the pairing is incredible! The beef enchiladas are delicious, with the perfect level of spice, the taqutos totally home made vibes, chicken fried steak was absolutely delicious, and the apple pie was chefs kiss, definitely a 10 out of 10. We got there at the perfect time and didn’t have to wait for a table but the line fills up quickly, and for good reason the food would be worth the wait

This place is always a bit busy with a little bit of a wait. But the wait is always pretty short and the staff is very nice and attentive. Mac's definitely gives you the feeling of small town closeness; where everyone knows everyone...it's kind of refreshing. The food is really good and is traditional New Mexican style. We recommend going here as one of our local favorites.

I usually don’t have complaints when it comes to local New Mexican food, but this place was not very good. Ordered take out from here for the first time, and off the jump the prices were higher than they said they were going to be online. I didn’t say anything because I figured inflation changed the prices. When I got home the food we got was extremely salty. The chile tastes water-down, and acts as a soup base for your entrée. Not pleased, honestly wish I could get my money back but that’s what I get for trying new things. :(

This was a really great place to come for dinner, with great staff and AMAZING second to none prices in a historic building. For reference, I got the chicken fried steak, and my fiance got fajitas. The decor is a great touch too!!!

This was my 1st time eating here and I really enjoyed it! The dining room was packed with plenty of happy diners and it's rustic look is really cool! I ordered the huevos rancheros, Christmas style, & sopas, my hubby got pancakes, huevos and bacon. The food was very tasty and didn't disappoint!! Katy was our server and she was fast & friendly👍 the Sopas are sooo fluffy!!!! I'll return for another meal for sure!!

Steak fingers red and green Chile are to die for, I’m from Albuquerque but moved to Florida, this is my first stop each time here. This time it’s been three consecutive visits within row day, can’t get enough of this awesome food! Oh and service is amazing and so freakin friendly

Excellent restaurant! New Mexican food. I had steak and enchiladas. The steak was cooked exactly how I like it, at medium rare. Enchiladas were cheese and green chilli which were very good plus beans and papas. Large portion, price was great and we didn't walk away hungry! The staff were very nice and made us feel welcome. They were very attentive as well. We are definitely going back again!

My son and I have loved this place for many years! Our absolute favorite dish for breakfast is Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, which is outstanding!!! And their over-medium eggs are always done to perfection!!! And the very friendly staff have been there for years and always welcome you back with a hug!!! Just like coming home... ❤️

The workers there were amazing and more than willing to make sure we had the best experience ever. They succeed with flying colors. My wife and I loved the food and we were close to the kitchen watching the head chef giving orders to the sous chef in turn giving orders to the other cooks. It was an amazing experience to see a well oiled machine working at its best. As the food was prepared, the wait staff meticulously with out missing a beat took out the food to waiting anxiously hungry customers. Not only did they have our food hot and ready but at the same time they had orders for customers who called there food. We will eat there again. When you go there , expect the best , they are God bless.
