Whispering Bean Coffee Roasters

Cafe Coffee shop

👍👍 Good coffee spot. The staff was friendly and polite. It has plenty of seating for meeting people or working. Had a vanilla latte with oat milk. It was a basic, tasty cup of coffee. I do think the alternate milks might need to be frothed better, it wasn’t all that creamy. The egg bites were super goo... People often mention coffee, staff, great, friendly, free, gluten, time, super, good, Great,

Good coffee spot. The staff was friendly and polite. It has plenty of seating for meeting people or working. Had a vanilla latte with oat milk. It was a basic, tasty cup of coffee. I do think the alternate milks might need to be frothed better, it wasn’t all that creamy. The egg bites were super good and fluffy. (Shoved them down and forgot to take a picture). I got the spinach, tomato & feta one, and the turkey, bacon & jalapeño one.

The service: It was great; no complaints! It was an all around delightful experience. Thank you. 🙂 The food: The fact that everything is Gluten Free really took the guess work out of what I could have and allowed me to focus on what I wanted. I haven’t been able to do that in a while, so this in particular made my heart sing. I had a blueberry muffin and honestly, couldn’t tell it was gluten free… Yes, it was that good! The coffee: The measure of a good coffee place is how well they can make something like a basic latte. It’s easy to hid sin beneath a mountain of sugar. The milk was steamed with care as to release its natural sweetness and was a beautiful accent to the flavor of the espresso. It was magic. 🤓

Not a bad place for some coffee, not my favorite but not bad, had my first sugar free late, tasted like erythritol sugar which I am not a fan of.. maybe I should ask next time! Friendly customer service. Great atmosphere, I would work here if I had to using wifi.

I tried Whispering Bean for the first time today, which was a Sunday at 10am. There was ample seating of different kinds, including normal chairs, high chairs, and comfy lounge chairs. The service was friendly. I ordered two egg bites; one was the spinach, egg, tomato, and feta selection. The other was the ham, egg, green chile, and cheese. The barista warned the bites, but they were barely lukewarm on the outside and room temperature in the middle. The heating timer should likely be doubled. I ordered an iced white chocolate mocha. I don’t really remember it either way, even though I just got home from the coffee shop. Overall, a nice-looking, clean place with ample seating. The coffee isn’t remarkable, and the food needs to be heated longer.

I am finally getting around to write a review about the BEST COFFEE place in the greater Albuquerque area... I like this place because the coffee is the best. I have had the pleasure of going here for just about as long as they have been open. I am a picky S.O.B. beyond comparison and the ownership got my attention in one big way: They care. Also, they try. Angie and her husband as owners want things right and they want customers to be satisfied. That matters to me as well as many others. Angie cares about her employees and she is amazingly flexible when it comes to scheduling her staff as they are either in college or have another job. She has loyal people behind the counter! She is patient and I have seen many of her employees become tremendous baristas! She believes in her people! The patience and teaching she offers her employees are quite remarkable! Angie's husband is the Chief of the Roast. He does a great job, and I can always count on his expertise to make the finest roast no matter what the bean. I don't have to wonder if my cup of coffee will be just right. It's always in the bank. MAN, OH MAN, Whispering Bean must be doing something right. They have a second location opening on 528 within a month- with a drive thru! If that wasn't enough, they now have their coffee for sale at select WALMART stores. A local carving out shelf space in the mega giant superstores?! Thank you, Whispering Bean, for all of the SUPERIOR coffee and goodies that I have had over the years! I am not paid, not an employee, not a relative, just a loyal satisfied customer.

Just an update to how much I love whispering bean! The staff is always friendly no matter what time of day I go in there. The baked goods are always fresh. The coffee is always delicious. Since they have expanded into the space next to them it’s even funner to spend time there. The owners together have such a great vision and they are such excellent humans. And I feel the same way about the staff. I feel so lucky that whispering being is so close to my house and every time I go in there and leave I feel good about it. My favorite coffee shop in all of Albuquerque. It is super clean and cute and cozy and Angie and her staff all wear their masks all the time. They are super conscientious about the mandate and I really appreciate that. The coffee is delicious and her husband does all of the roasting. Most of the pastries, I think maybe even all of them Angie and her staff make on site. There’s not a lot of Costco or grocery store product in there. And I really love that about her. Angie and her staff are kind and easy-going and very efficient. I’m so happy that her and her husband opened up whispering been and I am hoping they never close.

It's a very nice coffee stop. Or a great cafe for socializing. Their tomato basil Quiche was delicious. I was filling Time and appetite while waiting for my eye exam at the optometrist across the parking lot.

Visited here with 2 gluten free friends. Coffee was good but their gluten free bakery was an excellent treat.

Loved the choco loco cold brew and the vanilla latte my hubby got was fantastic. Really nice roast to the beans. Coffee made with care and love. Appreciate all the good brew options - even a manual pour over. Yuuum!

Delicious coffee with the best service ever. Most goodies are a little too sweet for my taste but they are delicious and should be fine for most folks (plenty gluten free options). Egg tarts are small and perfect size for quick brekkie. Great atmosphere. Let's support these guys and help them grow.

Had two seasonal drinks, the Honey Almond Latte which was very tasty and the coffee was strong without that awkward burnt taste you get sometimes. The Orange Tee Tree was light and refreshing, not very strong, but you could taste a lot of flavors there. Nice ambiance, enough varied sitting to not feel closed in, and a little patio outside. Very nice staff as well!

LOVE this place. My go to gluten-free place was Rebel. It's closed now, and I was craving chocolate and chai. They have clearly marked GF items and alternative milk as I'm DF also. I enjoyed my snack, it's wasn't dry at all. Very tasty and I didn't have to worry about a reaction. Staff was friendly and assured me of my allergy concerns.

The whole experience starting with the batista to the scent of freshly roasted coffee was amazing. I had a Late with some heavy whipping cream that was one of the best I've tasted being a life long coffee conisour that says a lot. My husband had a great mocha with heavy whipping cream which was also amazing.

The coffee is great and they have super creative specials every month that are really fun! What concerned me is the staffs lack of knowledge on food safety when it came to allergens. I’m personally allergic to tree nuts. I asked them what kind of flour they use in their gluten free muffins, because almond flour is commonly used, and the staff there wasn’t sure. They kinda just shrugged and started making guesses. I understand that my food allergies are not their problem, but they should at least be able to tell me if their product will kill me or not so I can make informed decisions. More training is needed FOR SURE.

Great coffee and awesome gluten free food. The chocolate Espresso muffin and the lemon blueberry muffin were delicious. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth the stop.

This place is great. Learned about a lot of the unique creations they offer. Coffee is great, but the yogurt parfait is yummy and filling!

Place is located next the the Sprouts but don't miss this place if you love coffee. They have some excellent coffee with some great staff. Drinks took a little while to come out but were awesome. Place was comfy with a mix of cafe height and normal height chairs and lounge chairs. Good light coming into the space with a nice clean modern feel. Highly recommended.

Whispering bean is the best coffee in Albuquerque. They are the sole reason I started drinking coffee walked in for a quick pick me up the gym. Chocolate Churro Latte & left as a long time customer. They also create exclusive drinks from seasonal flavors that you will not find in any other coffee shop.

Great place, great coffee, and great food! Love their egg bites which they make on site as opposed to Starbucks that are made who knows where and shipped to there stores. 😝 Local, non-corporate giants are always best! Also LOVE their Trail Blazing coffee! Grass fed butter & MCT oil. I choose to get mine without the protein powder though. Only coffee place I know of that offers this "keto" friendly coffee. Love it! Thank You, Whispering Bean! Also love that they expanded the inside. Much better now that there is elbow room. Used to be very small inside.

Really happy to have found this spot! The lattes are fantastic! Very unique flavors and not too sweet so you can still taste the coffee. Great food options and the staff was lovely! Will definitely be back!

Wonderful atmosphere. Great place to meet a client, do some work, or just talk with friends. They do their own roasting on site, so the coffee is super fresh. Not like the others where they ship their coffee already roasted across the country. The staff is super nice, they are fast. The owners are super friendly. If you haven't yet tried their holiday and seasonal drinks, please do, they're all really good.

I come here often because it’s so close and the coffee gets the job done, but recently I’m tempted to just drive farther. Baristas seem to always be in a bad mood, I let it go a few times because could just be having a bad day, but at this point any time I go it feels as though they’re angry a customer is even there bothering them. It’s a shame because the coffee is great. If I didn’t want the human interaction I’d just go to Starbucks.

I am a small coffee shop/cafe. We needed a new coffee bean supply, our old roasters we're going downhill. We walked in and were greeted immediately. We explained our situation and walked out with more options than we ever expected! They're wonderful roasters who know what they are doing! To top it all off, they make a wonderful lavender lemonade and variety of pastries that are always very tasty.

Excellent coffee and flavors! My favorite coffee in Albuquerque. And so accommodating to gluten free diets. I try not to go anywhere else. I always order off the special menu. My favorite is the cherry blossom she makes but I know it’s not always available.😩

Lackluster street view but cute inside. Couldn’t tell the difference between regular latte and the Apple Caramel Latte, both over $4. Delicious Egg Bites, had 2 of the jalapeño and Turkey sausage bites warmed up. Cranberry scone was not dry and pleasant cranberry flavor. A few tables placed on the wide sidewalk in front of shop. Not crowded inside with most people making to-go orders.

Love this local coffee shop! Their matcha is delicious, and they are constantly coming up with new and fun recipes. The cold brew and freezes do not disappoint! The ambiance is delightful. I haven’t had a drink there that I did not like. Now one thing to note, they have the BEST gluten free items, like I’ve ever had, so moist, not gritty like some can be. My order is always right, and they have items for kids, and non coffee drinkers.
