Okay place with some high points, but not enough to return.... GOOD STUFF: True RV park, hardly any mobile homes left All sites are flat Most, maybe all have complete hookups Some shade Close to I-40 on/off NEEDS WORK: Customer service. Not enough desk staff. Desk staff appeared not to be well versed in their check-in steps. Really struggled here. Additionally, they state they close at 6pm, we arrived before 5pm and they were closed. We got pulled into our site, and the power breaker and plug-in were loose and non-functional. We had no power the 1st night. When we reported it the next day for repair, she said "it's your motor coach, not our problem". We switched to an adjacent site and had power. YAY!! But the people who pulled into our old site had to move because they had no power either <shrug>. Things happen =) NOT LIKELY TO RETURN

Nice clean park. Showers and bathrooms clean and not old. The only concern I had were the huge curbs on either side of my site. I was worried pulling out my rear wheels would get clipped by the high curbs. I made it out ok but wonder who the curbs were there to help. May stay again with site selection. 45’ Class A

Park was clean and the pool was refreshing. We pulled in mid afternoon for a quick overnight on our way to the next destination. Camping World and gas near by. Good for a quick visit but wouldn’t plan to visit for a week. Also gated in and out. High curbs make pulling out a bit tricky, not the end of the world but as other reviews mentioned not sure what the benefit of them is. Water connection is set underground in a shady, cool box so I recommend checking for critters before stick your hands down in there. Would stay again if passing through convenient to I-40

Our recommendation: STAY AWAY from American RV resoet. The MUCH BETTER option is Route 66 RV Resort. We had a reservation for Thursday, August 3rd for a pull through site. We pulled in around 3:30pm and the office was locked and there was a note on the door that the electric was out and they were closed until it came back on but our Welcome Packet was in the late arrivals box. We Retrieved our packet and pulled through the gate. We pulled into the park and there was another motor home at our site and there was absolutely no one to talk you. No one answered office phone or the after-hours emergency number. The temperature was 90+ degrees and we had no where to park. I saw maintenance man on site who told me they were very overwhelmed and couldn’t help me. Finally we decided to leave and drove up the block to Route 66 Resort which was an overall fantastic experience. The worst part about the entire ordeal was they charged our Credit Card 2x (when we only had a reservation for one night to begin with) and up until today have only given us one night refunded. I just called to inquire about WHEN they were going to refund the 2nd night they charged and she was so rude she HUNG UP ON ME! STAY AWAY!

Hey Campers! This RV park was concerning. Park was gated, located on the western side of Albuquerque just off I 40. It was revealed the Park is located within a high crime area within city limits. Albuquerque was plagued with nearly 65,000 crimes in 2022. Well above the norm. The grounds are run down, pool tiles are falling into pool, jacuzzi was filthy. Cats, kittens running all over the Park. I sprayed my site, ants galore!!!! On a positive note.... The front office staff was helpful, and friendly. Park is mostly seasonal or full-time residents. Onto Austin, Texas on Saturday to preview another RV Park. Safe travels All !!!

The people who work at the park are incredibly nice and helpful, which makes the experience start off right. The park is super clean, sites are adequate and everything works. The pool/spa is in need of upgrade/cleaning and the goat head weeds at our site are the only thing keeping my review from being 5 star. We will stay here again.

Stayed in this park for 6months while working in the area. Clean park, lots of places to walk your dog with scattered waste stations around the park. This park is gated and I felt very safe. It’s close by to Walmart and various other stores and restaurants. I appreciated the laundry being app controlled instead of having to worry about keeping change. The pool was out of order due to maintenance pretty well my whole stay. Other than that, great place!

This review is solely on an approximately 30 second phone call to enquire about long term rental. I had asked if there were any recommendations for another location. A simple no would suffice. However being told to go online and do my homework in a very unprofessional attitude and manner was not necessary. I understand that this question is a gray area in terms of recommending competition or being unsure of other businesses. However, based on this brief interaction I would never recommend this place nor stay there myself.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Just outside of Albuquerque. Very nice, clean park. Very professional. Kevin at the front desk was amazing and very helpful. The pool wasn't heated at the time but I got in anyway. People were using it. We used the laundry. Very easy with the app. Overall nice place. I would stay again. Thanks!

I have changed my reviews. After being here 8 months, I would not ask for a better place. Staff and the people are friendly. They do what they can in their control to make this place better. Can not beat the prices. Never had a problem with propane, payment, or getting mail, and it is a safe area. I have had no Ant problem unless you leave trash outside or not clean up. Cats are wild life here in New Mexico and never had issues of them destroying or bothering anyone.

False advertising. Definitely not a resort. Ants are everywhere. Property not maintained. COCKROACHES all around the hot tub and the hot tub is scary and dirty. Pool always closed and probably spreading legionnaires disease. Prices are high to stay in a dump.

We have been coming to this campground for a lot of years and never had a problem. This year it has been bad, they work less hours, and they all take lunch at the same time so the office is closed. I made my reservation on line so I didn't get my AAA discount. But it didn't say anything about that on line. They don't accommodate you with the propane either. You have to wait until 9am when they open to get propane! There is someone that was parked in a site close to ours and their car alarm was going off every so often all night long. We were here for three nights and had to listen to this all three nights. Plus the pool was closed! Not sure why.

Place is nice. People are friendly. Has a pool. I disagree with them charging twenty five dollars for each additional family member....... there's a family here with four kids so they have to pay $100 dollars more per month. That's dumb.

Arrived and there was no water or power. They said 20-30 minutes it would be on. Dog park was loaded with invisible prickers. Dogs got nailed. I suggested they give a discount due to no water or power to no avail. Another visitor in the lobby said this has happened to her in past visits to this park. Two hours later still no power and the office was locked up with a sign they would be back when power on. Knocked on door and guy would not let us in. We left Stay away!! Don't go near this place!!!

Close to 1-40, clean, easy access pull throughs, full hook ups, plenty of space, my only thing, I stepped in a small pot hole at the front gate and twisted my ankle. It could have been worse so I am grateful. Front desk offered no apologies, and did not seem too concerned. Kind of ruined the experience. It was higher priced than most but if you need a place it does the job. Just watch your step lol.

I booked an online reservation through their website for 4 nights. Since there wasn’t a place to indicate a Goodsam membership number on their online booking page, I called the office and was advised to present my membership card at checkin and the discount would be applied then. At checkin I was told that since I reserved online, I wouldn’t get the discount for the first night, only the remaining 3 nights would be discounted. I was also told that their guests who book online for only 1 night do not receive any discount. I explained that I booked online through their website and that I did call to verify that the discount would be honored at checkin. The person at the desk told me this was the owner’s policy. This made no sense. I’ve booked online reservations at many other RV parks and although there may not always be a way to include a Goodsam number, I’ve always received the discount for all of the nights at checkin. She requested that another staff member assist with the checkin since she was new. He told me the same thing - that since I booked online the first night would not be discounted. He told me that if I book online to also call for the discount. Very confusing. The 2 staff members talked back and forth and they thought they might be able to discount the entire stay since I had not actually been checked in yet. They were finally able to make this right but I was told that had I been checked in, they wouldn’t have been able to do this. Again, very confusing and frustrating. The issue was resolved, but checkin was not smooth and took way too long. I emailed the campground over 3 weeks ago and sent a follow up email 10 days ago and requested that the owner respond and clarify their policy. I have not received a response. Very disappointed with the issue at checkin and for not receiving a response to my email. Won’t be back and do not recommend.

Booked an rv site for one night, when we checked in I asked about my Good Sam discount(because they area Good Sam campground) was told I couldn’t get the discount because we were only staying one night. I have never been told this at any place where we were only staying one night. The campground is very nice but I will not stay here again because of this. Not a happy camper at all!!

I have to say, this was a great place to stay. Everyone was SO NICE! Park was extremely clean. The West side of the park had an absolutely amazing view! I wasn’t a big fan of the doggie park because it was all rocks and no grass. Most pets prefer to do their business in grass. Mine especially. The internet was not reliable. I felt very safe staying in this park despite the many warnings I received about Albuquerque. It’s a gated park so that gave an extra level of comfort. I also very much appreciate the RV supplies in the store. They kept me from having to venture off in search for an item I needed. I would stay here again for sure!

So far we've had no issues. We came from Houston and were expecting more crime in this park because of the location. It's very quiet, easy place to relax. A lot of full timers so everyone has a routine. Not much noise past 9:30 at night.

Made a reservation for a one night stay on a return trip. A family emergency occurred and we had to head back home early and travel straight through. Called more than 72 hrs in advance to cancel our reservation. Was told that there would be a cancellation fee. When I received the invoice for the refund they had charged me $100 cancellation fee on a $70 reservation. I have no problem with paying a cancellation fee, but this was outrageous and in my opinion just plain theft. As a business owner myself, this is a very bad business practice.

I had no idea about the Balloon Fiesta in the trouble it would give me in finding a spot for my camper. I called American RV Resort and the representative assured me he had a spot. I gave him the specifics on my camper how many vehicles I had, the weight of my dog. He said, "Don't worry about finding another place I'm pretty sure I can get you a spot here just let me talk to my boss, I have to get it approved and I'll call you back in a couple of days." I waited. When I didn't get a call back I tried to call him left a message with no response from the representative. No response to my emails either. So I wasted 2 days. We ended up renting an apartment in Albuquerque. Which turned out to be the same amount as if I brought my RV out and charged an extra $3,500 for a 10-day Fiesta. Now that I'm in Albuquerque I drove by American RV Resort and I'm glad this didn't go through. This place looks like a dump.

A great park along I-40 on the outskirts of Albuquerque. Very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly, and knowledgeable. The little store had some great souvenirs available.

Very accommodating, nice staff, and nice park. Loved all the shade trees. These people went out of their way to make us feel at home. Thanks to everyone!

Great place to stay going across the country on I40. There are several places near by to eat and it’s usually quiet in the park. We use this park twice a year. Once headed west the other returning back southwest. Solid hookups and friendly staff.

👍👍 We had a really long day and a very long trip. The lady who checked us in. Steve way up late into the night. She guided us into our parking area in her own car. The next morning after we checked out. She called us to make sure we got enough rest and that we were happy with our stay. This past trip w...
