They do not allow you to have visitors. The first couple nights I had left and come back and they kept coming out and asking if I had a room. The rooms are horrible. Everything is old or broken. Woman who owns/manages is very rude. I asked when checkout was and was told by staff I had 2 more days. The next day the owner had her staff come kick me out of the room. The owner was yelling at him on the phone the whole time and he was trying to pack my stuff for me to get me out faster. Someone paid for 8 more days for me and instead of putting it in my name they put it in his name and when I was kicked out 2 days early they refused to refund me because of it even though the floor was flooded the whole week. This place is totally unprofessional and I will never return.

Owner was VERY RUDE she hung up on me one morning when i was trying to explain to her my disabled family member had 4 more days that he had paid for. She was actually trying to kick him out 4 days early because THEY DID NOT KEEP A GOOD ACCOUNTING of previously paid weekly rates. THE OWNER ACTUALLY DID THIS. I believe the ONLY reason she finally realized she was wrong is because one of the workers confirmed the facts. This is after about 1 or 2 hours of STRESS for a person with schizophrenia and major anxiety! NOT GOOD. She lost a really cooperative, quiet, and respectful renter.

It’s insane seeing a hotel like this only having 3 stars. This is the greatest example of what new management can do to an establishment. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I was blown away, I drive by the hotel at times and think about my night there. The customer service was something most hotels need to copy the employees and the owner really make you feel at home. The room I stayed in (the banana suit) was mind blowing, it’s hard to describe their choice interior design it’s clearly modern but gives me the sense of an old 50s diner, with their cute landlines, microwave and fridge. It’s clear the new owners put a lot of heart into remaking this hotel. Not to mention it’s in a perfect spot in nob hill, I hate driving! The location was perfect for a nice stroll around the area, with a plethora of diverse food selection near by and great places to shop if you want to get something to remember your stay in Albuquerque but the hotel it’s self is memorable enough! They also have this cool hidden speakeasy that can only be found if the staff tells you or slick enough to discover it. The hotel came with so much great amenities. You can see how the renovators payed so much attention to small details, like making sure they get a shampoo that does not containing sulfate?! What hotel even thinks of that!!! On top of that my favorite aspect is their giant chess board in their court yard. My Girlfriend and I had a blast playing. This hotel feels like luxury without having to pay for it. I definitely recommend to people stopping by Albuquerque and google needs to fix these negative reviews from the past owners because it’s not deserved. 10/10.

I stayed in this motel in 2019 for 2 months. They had bedbugs and the lady at the front desk who owns the place is extremely rude. She kept calling my room and telling me I was not allowed to sit outside. She also refused to fix the antique microwave/ broiler combo which broke on me the first week. I had no way to cook. The only reason I went there was the Google info says it had a swimming pool. It has an empty swimming pool. Worst customer service ever. She needs to be shut down.

Honestly the definition of gentrification, really miss the old aesthetic. All the paint in the world can’t hide the fact that I wouldn’t be caught dead in this area after 9

She charges way to much to stay there. The rooms was clean no bugs. But the Room furniture and paint and fixtures all needed to be replaced the shower curtain was very gross I bleach it before I even got into the shower and there was people doing ig drugs in their car on more than one occasion. The people that live there long term watched our vehicles and we're very friendly.

(Let me start by saying that Google really needs to find a way to delete old reviews when a business has been changed and/or taken over by new management.) I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, everything was outstanding. The staff were all courteous, friendly, and helpful. Everyone from the desk staff to the maintenance staff to the housekeeping staff. The rooms are well decorated and the whole property is very visually appealing. All the bright colors make the property fun and unique. This property was obviously a typical roadside motel in the past, but all the updates have elevated this property. One of the coolest things is the treatment on the windows. You can't see through them (unless you REALLY try) so you don't have to worry about keeping the curtains/blinds closed all day. One thing that really stood out to me about this property is their attention to details. For example, the hand soap was made by a local company. I love local small businesses supporting other local small businesses. As another example of attention to detail, their shampoo is sulfate-free. Who even thinks of that for their guests? If I were forced to point out one negative, it would be that my room didn't have a lot of natural light. However, this is simply the result of the architecture and where my room was located. There's nothing that could be done to change this. I'm sure other rooms in this hotel don't have the same issue. This hotel is in a great location with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. What more could you ask for? I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Albuquerque.

The hotel is older but completely renovated. It’s so cool because it has that old school Route 66 Americana feel to it but with a fun twist. The service was amazing and you would never get anything remotely close to that at the typical hotel chain companies. If you have kids they’ll love it here. It’s also located along a strip of fun shops and restaurants.

This was my first time in Albuquerque and I could not have picked a better hotel. This place is 100% worth it and one of the coolest places I have ever stayed. The staff were super attentive and made sure I had a relaxing stay! Check out their secret bar while you're there. Tap the golden banana in the lobby and have some delicious cocktails made by a bartender who clearly knows their craft! I will definitely be recommending this hotel to all of my friend and will stay here again

The location of the hotel is great, never more then 15 minutes from where we were traveling around the city. We stayed for 3 nights. The room was comfortable enough for two adults and 2 kids but a few things to consider, if you get a room by the chess board/bar area on the weekend, it will get noisy with people drinking. The room could do with an extra mirror outside the bathroom so it’s faster for everyone to get ready and a small microwave would be convenient for people staying longer then a night. We had our room serviced one day but after that our small trash cans filled very quickly and I didn’t see a dumpster, but I also didn’t ask and just took dirty diapers to where it was we were going and threw them away. Beware of the parking situation. They charge you $10 a night and the parking lot is small. On Saturday evening we had to park next to a handicap loading area because the lot was so full and the hotel staff told us to park there. If you are going to make people pay for parking it would be nice to have actually enough spots for everyone. The carpet in our room could use a cleaning but other then that that room was clean and we felt comfortable. I would recommend this place but honestly wouldn’t stay here longer then a night or two.

Please see photos of my 10 year old daughter’s review. This place has been lovingly restored. It is safe. It is designed by a child and loving mother who grew up here. There are many many treats and unusual surprises with the best breakfast ever eaten right across the street: stay here!

What a fun place to stay. A renovated motel off of old route 66. Colorful, artsy with fun little twists. I booked here on a last minute flight cancelation and it definitely helped soften the blow of not making it home that day. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They even drove me to the airport the next day to catch my flight. The location is great in that there are breweries, bars and food choices within walking distance. The on-location bar is also super fun to enjoy. Go check out the UFO house as a little field trip that is not far from here. The beds were comfortable and nice sheets and pillows. If you are looking for a place that is unique and more fun than the other hotels, I definitely recommend this location. It will give you something to talk about for years to come.

Wonderful experience! The owners, Sharmin and Sam, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. The rooms were cute, cozy, and clean. Sam, even fixed my kiddos glasses when they broke. Very unique and artsy hotel! Would totally recommend 10/10 🙌!

I stayed here for a few days on a work trip recently & it was an incredible stay. The room and location were awesome & the staff were especially helpful. They helped accommodate a late check-out and held on to my bags so I could explore Albuquerque on my last day. I definitely plan to return but next time on vacation so I can fully get zazzy.

I booked a 2 night stay for a little stay-cation to celebrate my daughter's 19th birthday. There we're three of us, and we had a blast. The hotel was so cute, and we took a hundred fun photos around the grounds! The room was amazing, so many awesome perks and upgrades. The girls loved that the room smelled like bananas at check- in. The beds were soft and the bathroom was luxurious! The hydration room was adorable and photo worthy too! The girls had facials at the spa and just couldn't say enough wonderful things about it. They loved the spa treatment and felt so pampered. The pool was so fun and refreshing and we had a great time soaking, socializing and watching a movie at the pool Thursday night with other guests. I enjoyed the speakeasy and the drinks, & can't wait to go back for more movies and cocktails by the pool. The staff was all so amazing and friendly, we felt right at home there. The texting from the staff made things so easy and all our questions were answered quickly. Nob Hill is a fun location and we just had a great time! Thanks for making my daughter's birthday so special! We love Hotel Zazz! Hope to see you again soon!

Greatest renovation of a classic roadside motel I have ever seen! The rooms have been actually redone and not just white washed and bath fitted. The Giraffe theme is super fun and the art and design is unique and entertaining. My toddler couldn’t sleep but was super happy just laying quietly and analyzing the wall art in the room. The bathroom had amazing fixtures and a smart mirror. Comfortable beds, fluffy pillows and clean fresh sheets and towels. The room was equipped with a kurig, a retro mini fridge, bath robes, a fun old phone, alarm clock, lights on a dimmer switch, a stuffed arm chair and ottoman and a nice tv with cable. Outside the rooms there was a chic court yard with giant chess, colorful chairs and a pool. I hope we make it back through for another stay when we have more time to enjoy everything they offer! Editing to add that their parking lot is under surveillance which offered an amazing piece of mind for us as we traveled with a van full of our kids Christmas presents.

Overall I am not impressed with the way this hotel runs their business. First and foremost they charge $10 a day to park in the parking lot of the hotel. Mind you, they did not tell us it was $10 a day until the last day of our stay so of course we paid it the day we got there thinking it was $10 for our entire stay, definitely not okay. Next, the room itself was nice and clean but there is no microwave in the entire hotel whatsoever. That was very inconvenient because we had to drive to a gas station every time I needed to warm up my kids food. Lastly they charge an extra $50 to check out late, which is fine but they DO NOT refund you that money if u you end up changing your mind and leave at checkout time. We paid the $50 fee the day we checked in but didn’t end up needing to stay that extra time. They do not inform you that it’s non refundable, so of course, that was pretty disappointing for me. But overall, the staff was nice I just wish they were a little more transparent with the extra costs.

Loved our stay at the ZAZZ! The bar and lounge have a great vibe and the staff were wonderful. Neighbors above were stomping late on a Friday night...my only critique. Will be back for the pool!

No doubt, the cleanest and most comfortable hotel I’ve stayed at this trip! After 30 years of military PCS moves and watching hotel quality and customer service get worse every year, my stay here has been an awesome experience! It’s only day 2 of 4, but the staff has been amazing - friendly, helpful, definitely have opinions on where to find the best food in the city! My room is gorgeous - cleaner than my own home, amazingly soft bed and linens, in-room coffeemaker (which seems to have gone the way of the dinosaurs these days,) and LOTS of hot water. Have yet to hit the speakeasy, I drove 500 miles yesterday and was too tired for more than a shower and a popsicle (free!) but my free drink token was a nice surprise. When the military says it’s time to leave Albuquerque, this will definitely be my choice of hotels to stay at - I’ve already recommended it a few people traveling through soon!

I truly do not understand any of the negative reviews. What an impressive renovation of a clearly old time motel! Very hip, love the attention to details. Great tea/coffee service, a way to fill up your water bottles, free ice and popsicles. Great location! Opposite a bus stop. Lots of restaurants close by. Nice block in the neighborhood. - Hugely responsive GM and staff. I actually love the communication by text. - Uber clean and spotless rooms. I would have gotten grief from the missus had there been the slightest amount of dirt in the room or the bath. - Here is an easy test for me. I ask the missus, would she come back? it was a resounding Yes!

My new Albuquerque home away from home! My husband and I stayed a night here and had so much fun. The hotel does a great job of elevating the experience and we loved it’s playful charm. Definitely book directly to get some extra perks and don’t miss the Z Lounge!

We had an amazing time here. It appears a lot of the old reviews are from a previous owner or management —really wish Google would take them down or at least make that clear. We booked directly with the hotel after canceling through a third party site and got a way better deal, plus lots of perks. The speakeasy is amazing, with cool events and delicious drinks. The staff were so friendly and helpful, recommending tons of places and answering texts promptly. We felt safe and taken care of. The room was clean, comfortable, and colorful. The hydration room with thirty-second dance party button is fun :) We LOVED our stay here and would highly recommend it.

Hotel Zazz was a wonderful place to stay at for the night. The rooms are spacious and so colorful. The woman at the front desk was so kind and understanding when we arrived late at night. Both the bedroom and bathroom were very clean. I totally recommend staying here if you ever come to Albuquerque!

This hotel is a rehab project on Route 66. They have upgraded rooms for comfort. The room is fresh. The amenities are first class. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The hotel is still a work in progress, as they are relatively new and the outdoor amenities are fresh and fun. I am highly recommending this place. The hotel Zazz is close to the nightlife in Albuquerque. Love this place.

Fantastic location and great staff who offered us local tips to enjoy our too-brief stay. The speakeasy on site was a wonderful surprise and featured great music and delicious cocktails. Would definitely stay here again! Very clean and great attention to detail.

We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Zazz over Thanksgiving break. It was our first time to NM and the staff made it such an awesome experience that we felt like locals. They pointed out all the great restaurants, fun shopping areas, galleries and more. As for the hotel itself, it just may be the coolest place I've ever stayed! The decor, the yard games, the pool area (even though it was too cold to use), the amenities in the room were all top notch. The owner grew up in the hospitality industry and it shows by how passionate she is - you can tell that a lot of love went into the renovation of this gem of a place. I can't thank the staff enough for making us feel so welcome!

We had a magical stay at Hotel Zazz!! Our room was beautiful, clean, full of special touches/amenities that made our stay feel so special. The robes, keurig, boutique soaps, the incredible waterfall shower, comfy bed.. I could go on, but to say it simply, this hotel puts so much heart into their business and it really shows. Customer service was attentive and caring. Location is amazing, and their speakeasy had delicious cocktails and a beautiful ambiance. Fully recommend staying here and already can’t wait to come back.

When we arrived the motel was clearly still under construction as there was paint all over the stairs and walkway. Construction/remodeling was still underway; ok, we can deal with the lack of aesthetics and we are happy to support local. When we opened the door to our room there was an overwhelming smell of old/stagnant cigarette smoke; fine, it’s an old motel so we moved on with our trip as weren’t hanging out in the room all night. The next morning when we went to use the shower, water pooled and filled the basin and wouldn’t drain, so we called the front desk to let them know. They gave us a key to the another room so we could shower and get ready. We had to move all of stuff to the other room; inconvenient but at least we could shower. The sink in this room was slow to drain so we let the front desk know and we also let them know the previous room smelled of cigarette smoke. The woman proceeded to argue insisting that the room was inspected (including the drain?) and did not smell of smoke; meanwhile we overheard “sam” in the background say “oh it was never inspected”. The argument ensued and the woman was very rude and disrespectful, so my husband asked for a discount/refund. We were told no and to call our third party booking agent (Priceline) for any kind of discount or refund. Priceline proceeded to call the motel and they would answer, but then place the agent on hold; this happened several times over 15-20 minutes. We left with a pending resolution as the staff refused to take the phone call. Fast forward 2 days and the motel not only refused to provide anything resembling good customer service (even just the offer to shave off a few dollars would have been fine with us), but they charged us for: $10 for our vehicle parked in their lot $100 for nicotine vaping outside in the parking lot (we never used them in our room) $100 to use ozone in the room (again we do not use tobacco, nor did we use our vape in the room) $20 for a the third person in our party (we did not ask for any extra accommodations, pillows, etc) We managed to reach the owner to discuss the situation and they proceeded to accuse us of stuffing a rag into the shower drain (this is completely absurd) and justified the extra charges stating using our vape (again this was outside in the parking lot) as it violated their “no smoking” policy. This place is a total rip off and cost us twice the nightly rate ($111/night). We understand needing to rent rooms to afford the completion of a remodel, but given the completely unprofessional behavior and total disregard to anything even adjacent to customer service, you are better off at a motel 6. These people are scam artists and tried to put lipstick on a pig at the consumers expense. We will absolutely not being staying here again and recommend spending your money somewhere else.

YOU WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA FOR PARKING. Awful customer service. Not to mention a random $160 charge. When I inquired about it, I was rudely informed that they are a “boutique hotel”, that I should have read the fine print and told it would be refunded. But it wasn’t entirely refunded. I was charged extra for parking which I was not made aware of. To clarify, this place is not a “boutique hotel”, it’s a rinky-dink MOTEL that a fresh coat of paint didn’t do a whole lot to fix apparently.

Giving them 5 stars because they are working hard to make the place sparkle. we came for the soft opening of Hotel Zazz and they have worked very hard to make this hotel an boutique motel. the bed was super comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, the shower was updated with tile. they have a magnifying make up mirror in the bathroom as well as keurig for morning coffee in the room. the main mirror in the bathroom defogs its self! Nice Tv and beautifully decorated. plenty of light and outlets to charge all devices. the lobby was still being finished and they say they are going to have a bar as well? excited to see the finished product! also if you need anything you can TEXT THEM! which i really liked. route 66 is an up and coming location, lots of bars and restaurants to pick from!

If funky and eclectic is your thing this is a great choice. Smack dab in the middle of Central, yet surprisingly quiet.Rooms have privacy film on windows which is very clever. Super friendly staff. Tiny bathrooms, could really use a full length mirror and more hangers and maybe two chairs instead of just one in rooms.

Kind and knowledgeable staff. Cute clean room. Newly renovated and quirky in all the best ways. The area, Nob Hill, means there are all sorts of delicious coffee shops and restaurants in walking distance. Directly across the street is “Farmacy” which had excellent coffee and a wonderful breakfast. Will visit again!

The moment I walked into the hotel lobby, it felt welcoming, the staff were wonderful, and very nice. The rooms were amazing! We loved our stay and recommended our friends to stay there as well! The shower is amazing, everything is just so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing in so many ways. If we ever stay in Albuquerque ever again we will most definitely be coming back. Thank you to everyone!

GREAT location!! Check in was GREAT! Staff gave us tips on what was around and where to eat; the rooms are all very newly renovated. Bed was ridiculously comfy! And the shower was AMAZING! There’s a convenience store next to the hotel that you are able to walk to and grab snacks. There is a hotel security guard at night and cameras outside that the staff watch to make sure the guests are safe and cars untouched! We played on the giant chess board outside our room, which my kids loved!! DEFINITELY recommend to stay here!!!

It's difficult to describe how AWFUL this place is. There are piles of trash and broken furniture in the parking lot. The rooms are shabby and smell. The appliances are ancient. I visited a friend staying there. One of the 2 light sources in the room had no bulb. Amazing! I heard that on the last day of his stay his room was robbed by the staff (since his front door was locked and not broken into). Sleep anywhere else. Avoid this place at all cost!!!
