Let me start by saying that I don't usually leave reviews. However, as a student and also a woman of color with 5 years medical experience, I am speaking out. I went in for a potential blood clot along with chest pain and was not only dismissed for my concerns, I was talked about. I overheard the doctor(white male) and another medical staff (white female) laugh and talk about the fact that I was 27 and concerned about a blood clot. Urgent care is not a mall, I'm not there because I want to be there. Blood clots can and do happen to anyone, I went there because I was concerned and wanted to rule that out. Instead, I was dismissed, my privacy violated, and the doctor originally ordered me a doppler but they said all the slots were full. So I did not get one, instead they scheduled me for the next day. Anyone reading this, DO NOT let anyone get away with treating you like you have no right to be concerned for your health. Call them out every single time!!! No health care professional gets to talk poorly about a patient and also violate HIPAA and get away with it. Do not dismiss women. Do not dismiss people of color. Do not dismiss anyone! For the medical staff who committed this, LEARN from your mistake or you will lose your license and ability to practice. Patients like me will be sure of it. We deserve better.

I tried to make an appointment here today to see about getting paxlovid. Their online system that's "supposed to serve you better" was obviously never tested before they implemented, because it doesn't let you actually reserve an appointment. I called the front desk, and the girl who answered said she'd check their availability and ended up leaving me on hold for over 10 minutes until the point I hung up and called back, at which time she told me they had no more availability (the website said they did, but alas). Lazy, unhelpful, and completely uncompassionate staff and a totally flawed system. Don't go here.

I sprained my ankle , the swelling was really bad and so was the bruising along with the pain . I mentioned to the doctors multiple times that the pain was very bad and if they could give me something to help with that or something to help with the swelling and they didn’t prescribe me a single med to help. All I was “treated” with was an ankle brace and I was told to go back if I needed anything 🤡🤦🏽‍♂️. I don’t recommend this place . Go to a real doctors office.

Came here to have my daughter seen for possible strep. I didn't mean to have attitude, my primary was unavailable and we got sent to another place that was not open today. So yeah understandable I am a little aggravated over just getting my daughter seen. The ladies up front are following their procedures and they were rude to me over this. I wasn't yelling or being angry but they didn't let me talk or explain why she was needing to be seen. The nurse even agreed that the front staff needed to work on their verbal communication. Other than the front staff everything else was good. She was seen by someone quickly and her issue was addressed professionally.

Overall my visit went well. I had to wait over 2 hours, granted, there were 16 people ahead of me. The ladies up front were nice and helpful and who I eventually was checked by was very kind and considerate. The only issue I had was the male that had called me, while I was waiting in my vehicle, that took down my information and essentially needed to work on the intake process before my visit. He was not very kind and made snooty comments after I explained why I was there that day. Later on, after I was seen and diagnosed, another male came in to give me my paperwork and the rundown of my visit…this may have been the same individual I spoke with on the phone but I cannot be sure…he seemed to not want to be there, was also very snooty and did not seem to be empathetic in any way.

Not very understanding, caring, or accommodating at all. Got an urgent message from my agency today stating that I needed a physical and fit testing as mine has expired. They said it needed to be done today but I work all day as a nurse until 5 pm during the week and work at least 30 minutes away from this location. I show up at Duke city urgent care at 5:38 pm. Online it shows they close at 7 PM so I'm thinking I have plenty of time to get what I need done. When I get there, the guy at the front desk says they close at 6 PM and that I would not be able to get my physical done today and would have to come back tomorrow. The guy at the front desk does admit that the online hours are confusing as to when they close. After talking with him for a few minutes to explain my situation he asks for my epassport number. After taking the information from my epassport he realizes I need a non DOT physical and that he thinks it might be able to get done today. He goes to ask somebody and comes back to say no this would take 20 minutes between the mask fitting and the physical and they close at 6 PM. He says come back tomorrow and try to get there a little earlier to get this done and I explain again that I work every day until 5 PM and work on the westside of town. At this point I have been here close to 10 minutes. The guy says we could do your mask fit now and you would just need to come back tomorrow for the physical knowing I would be there at the same time at best tomorrow. Did I mention there was no one else in the waiting room?? Duke City Urgent Care does NOT care and is not willing to do what it takes to take care of the community that needs their services for compliance reasons. I only went here to be in compliance with my agency. It did not matter to the staff here and they were fine to just let me walk out to try and figure something else to be in compliance with my nursing agency. (Update: I was at the correct entrance for occupational health and not the urgent care entrance as the worker did explain to me hours online reflect urgent care hours not their hours at occupational health)

I had to be wheeled in from my car to the facility because the amount of back pain I was in. I get it check and they take my money and insurance. Then they take me back the doctor comes in and says we don't have anything we can treat your lower back pain with since i had taken ibuprofen and medicine already and that I would have to go to the Emergency Department. What is an urgent care for if they can't treat back pain. I did not want narcotics or anything I simply wanted maybe a patch or a steroid or some prescription to relieve my pain. Again i don't do narcotics so that was a non issue. but they said they couldn't do anything and send me away. They couldnt have even done a xray to see if my spine was okay to move before they sent me out...? Feels like malpractice to me. Waste of time, pain, and money. I called for a refund since they didn't treat me and said since they took my vitals it's considered treating me. What kind of insurance fraud is this. I should report this to my insurance. I went to Albuquerque where did they just what I said. Pretty common of a treatment. Xrays a steroid and muscle relaxer and sent me home with some prescriptions. Doctor at Duke city urgent should take notes and not seemed bothered that I'm there.

Wife and I while visiting became ill and came here. The check-in was fast and easy, very polite and welcoming. The staff within the facility were all friendly, warm and polite. Very helpful and understanding. Appreciate their hospitality and willingness to listen to our concerns and address our issues.

This location isn't a good one to visit, every time we come we wait for 3+ hours WITH an appointment. There's obviously no reason for an appointment when they continue to make everyone wait. You have to call the front desk and tell them you've been for waiting for so long in your room and in the waiting room to make the doctors come in your room finally. I also saw somebody else come to the front and tell the front desk that they've been waiting in their room for over an hour. Save your time and go to the one on Coors!

Waited a very long time for a USDOT Physical & Drug Screen. Provider made a claim I potentially had sleep apnea just based off my weight… absolutely absurd! This doctor knew nothing about my medical history or anything. Definitely do not recommend this company they don’t care. Dr.Cardenas is a nice fellow but doesnt give a rip about understanding ones medical records first! I WILL NEVER USE DUKE CITY URGENT CARE EVER AGAIN UNLESS its mandatory I do so even then ill try to go elsewhere.

They lost my medical records. Doctors and staff are very condescending. They also are very pushy with their billing, even though I’m fully covered with my insurance. Sending multiple text messages telling you your “bill is ready.” No thanks.

I came in to get a prescription after having a long lasting sinus infection. Check in process was weird but fine. Why say you have walk ins if you just make them make an appointment? Anyways I don’t usually have high expectations for efficiency in urgent cares and my illness was not very severe so I expected to wait. I did wait but was actually pleasantly surprised when they called me back about 30 mins earlier than expected. This however is when it went downhill. The nurse took my vitals and put me in a treatment room and told me a provider would be with me shortly. I was waiting in that room alone for just over an hour! No one checked in or updaters me at all. After 45mins I stood in the door and asked the first person I saw for an update. I would have rather waited in the waiting room where at least there is a tv and windows. If you don’t have a provider to see me yet then why take me back?! 10 mins later a provider came in and spent a whole 4 mins with me. The only reason I gave them two stars is all the staff was nice and I didn’t have to haggle to get my prescription. I will not be back.

Very cumbersome check-in process, even after you are an established patient. Making an appointment ahead of time does not seem to speed up the process. This place has a very business oriented model instead of a patient oriented model. The PA we saw for my son was very good.

From the time I checked in till I got picked up everyone was amazing. Getting checked in online is a great feature. Having a broken leg is not fun, thank you to everyone for the five star treatment during my visit.

Went with our 5 year old who had fallen and needed an x ray. We spent over 4 hours waiting. Do not take your kids here unless you plan to spend the rest of the day waiting, literally until they close.

Great urgent care, their system is awesome so you don’t have to sit and wait you can just wait at your house. My advice is book early as you can in the morning to get an appointment. The doctor listened to my concerns and treated me quickly. No wasted time waiting.

I see a lot of pros and cons from the past visitors but my experience was awesome. I use the online scheduling for my appointment and had no wait. They were very professional and send it to all my needs and testing I need it. Recommend this to anyone that uses their system properly.😊

You will wait just as long at the urgent care as you would at the ER in fact I think ER is probably faster then today has been, over 3 and a half hours of waiting.

Made a reservation online for 4:08, never got the text to arrive for my appointment. I went anyway to check the status and they said it was OK for me to check in. I waited to be seen for a little less than 2 hours. By the time I was seen it was about 6pm. The doctor came in for less than 5 minutes, rushed my exam and talking to me, and did not treat or even address what I was actually there for. When I asked her if we could talk about why I was actually there, she said no, she found I had a UTI and that is what she was treating me for eventhough my reason for the visit was not a UTI. She told me to go back if I had this medical issue again and ran out the door. When I left the room the lights were off and the door was locked. I get they close at 6, but there is no need to be rude and dismissive because you are behind on your work. And I find it unprofessional to lock up when there are still patients inside the building.

PA Kaitlyn was excellent, thorough and knowledgeable. All staff were polite and very good at their jobs. Better service than other urgent cares in Albuquerque

I’ve only been to Duke City Urgent Care about 3 times. I use to go to PresNOW before I even knew Duke City existed. Sadly. I can’t express how much I love Duke city urgent care, especially this location as it’s the only one I’ve been to. The staff is always so exceptionally sweet and helpful. Even when the lobby is packed and things may become overwhelming, the staff always maintains a smile on their face and they always remember to remain kind. That’s hard to find in a lot of healthcare settings.

The staff was helpful and kind. It's too bad the patients don't all wear their masks correctly. Some woman was in here this morning hacking and coughing and she had her mask down over her nose. I was disappointed that the staff didn't ask her to place it over her nose and mouth. Over all though the Dr was lovely and everyone on the staff I interacted with was pleasant and seemed genuinely concerned about my issues and took care of my biopsy in a timely manner.

Dr. was absolutely helpful. We want to thank you for helping us today with our daughter. Our doctor was very knowledgeable and would 100 recommended this clinic.

Love that the staff trusted that I new my own body and medical history and did not question when I asked for a specific treatment. They also made sure they still did their job to rule out other problems. Quick friendly professionals.

My new employer sent me for a drug screening to this address opening at 7am. When I arrived at 7 am the sign says it doesn't open till 9am , OK I will wait. At 9 went in and a very nice and very efficient front office gal noticed my paperwork in line and I was told the drug screening was around the corner (same building) Went around the corner , front office checked me in, she was very nice and understood urgency on my bladder , the MA came up and chatted with a co worker in their side office for awhile as my teeth were floating and It was so hard not to yell please ! No sense of urgency or concern. Office and back office was spotless and screening was very professional in a cold non engaging way.
