😠 Brittany who works the back with the doctor is obscene. Her customer service skills are ridiculous. Constantly talks down to me like I'm a child. Then wants to run tests and I'm not having it. I leave the doctors office and get into the car. Was told if I went back inside someone else would help me.... We can never get an appointment when we're sick or have new medication needs, including recently after contracting COVID and requesting a script for antivirals which wasnt responded to within the required 5 days. No one answers calls to the main switchboard number. Our nurse is subpar and not responsive while our doctor is always overbooked even when we have emergency needs. We are looking for another doctor in another practice now.

I had no experience. I waited at the very least 3 months just to establish a primary care physician. The appointment approached and I knew after that long I needed to do my best to be there. For I'd say two business days prior I attempted to reach them to confirm and ask about paperwork and that I might be 10 mins late. No one ever answered their phone, and all texts were an auto reply to call. I arrived on the date of my appointment at 1:08pm. I was turned away. And here's the rub. I came home to this letter in my mailbox. They spent postage, someone is getting paid to write and send it, as well as the line stating contact the office. It's bull shiz, and likely a auto letter that's sent for legal CYA. I hope to goodness that they don't get to bill insurance for any missed appointments because if they do, it's fraud.

4/13/22 - Receiving care is very frustrating. If I need to see a specialist it can take up to 9 months to get an appointment. Even if I am referred by my primary. Makes me very nervous considering I was told that I could have a stroke if I don't get this under control. How am I to do that when my primary doctor left, I cannot reach my new primary I have not received my additional testing info and my specialty appointment earliest appointment is December 2022, this is only April? Update 4/19/22 - at least someone is listening. I received a generic response for this with email contact info to provide more details, but the person I sent it to doesn't work there anymore. Received another email address and informed them how frustrated I was with the details of my case. Next day my new primary contacted me after viewing my test results and setup additional testing. Next the specialist clinic contacted me and got me in the next day due to a cancellation. So now more testing is scheduled, but I feel I have the support I need now to get on the right track. Thank you to whoever took charge of my review, you are truly a lifesaver. Raised the review up a star so far, see how it goes from here before going higher. Update 05/17/2022 - I have completed all my testing and have a plan to handle my condition going forward. I feel I am receiving the care I needed at this time. There are really good doctors and specialists out there. Glad I was able to get in touch with mine. Back again... 10/30/23 - I took a bad tumble on 10/08/23 and was still no feeling right, and visited the ER on 10/17/23. Had x-rays, CT scan and ultrasounds completed. Good visit and the staff was great. Then comes aftercare visit... I am suppose to have a brain MRI completed and check up with my primary. There are no appointments available with any doctors for after care. MRI schedule but no has reached out to schedule it. So the waiting continues. My only recourse is to return to the ER spending more money to just have the same outcome.

Joke of a medical practice. I was called 7 minutes before my scheduled appointment to be advised the urologist did not treat my condition (by the way this happened to someone else while I was waiting who showed up and was told his appointment had just been cancelled because the urologist didn’t treat his condition either — maybe have your staff screen properly or read the chart sooner than the day of the appointment???). In the interest of privacy I will not list my symptoms here but suffice to say any urologist should have been able to see me. I was previously being treated by urology before I moved here. Anyways they offered an NP visit to me which I accepted as I’d never seen an NP before and didn’t know what it would be like. Not only did they try to charge me the rate for a specialist copay to see a nurse which was only reduced to primary care copay after I read them my insurance’s notice on copays advising NPs are considered primary care, the visit itself was completely pointless. None of my symptoms were addressed. I was prescribed a medication which I had advised to the NP I had already tried with no success. No exams, tests, or possible insight into the cause or resolution of a multi-year issue were offered. Needless to say I did not schedule a follow-up and will seek care elsewhere. Do not recommend seeking urology care here.

The system is broke and they are not doing enough to fix the issue! My primary care provider Geoff Stephans, NP was great and for several years I received timely care. I was trying to schedule an appointment to see him for my annual physical on 11/21/21 but was informed that he had been moved to full time at the Heart Hospital and I was being changed to another provider, Juliana Nipp, NP and my appointment would be on 3/23/22. I contacted Lovelace on the day of my appointment to find out where the appointment was at, and I was told the NP was no longer at Lovelace and that I was being rescheduled with Dr Rodriguez, but it would not be until July because of her schedule. I called to verify my appointment on the first of July and was told Dr Rodriguez had left 3 months earlier and someone(?) was supposed to have contacted me to reschedule. I was then scheduled in July with Dr. Pickett for October 6, 2022. On Sept 29, 2022, I receive a call that Dr Pickett is no longer seeing new patients and I will need to be rescheduled with a new provider. After speaking to another scheduling supervisor, I was scheduled to see a new physician, Dr Chartrand on 10-25-22 at 3:00PM and I am promised that he will see me that day as it's a new clinic and I am being scheduled on his first day. I arrived yesterday for my appointment and was told it was cancelled and that they had left a message on my phone at 12:30PM that day. I spoke to another supervisor who informed me that she was sorry and then rescheduled me for another appointment on 11-01-22. This system is broken. As a health care provider for over 30 years at the VA and UNM I understand that cancellations occurr and that Covid created highly unusual circumstances. What is difficult to understand is why it takes weeks or months to inform me that a future appointment has been cancelled and then when I am informed, I am put on yet another wait list only to have the whole scenario repeated. I have nothing but compassion for the scheduling clerks, and front desk personnel who must try and deal with the frustration of the patients who are going through this morass. The Lovelace website says under its Primary Cre Heading" Lovelace Medical Group provides patients with exceptional care....". If this is an example of their exceptional care, then the system needs an overhaul, and the administrators need to get out to the clinics and see what is going on. Update, my appointment for 11-01-22 was just cancelled and rescheduled once again for 11-10-22. Scheduler was having to reschedule all of the Dr's appointments because they did not have his correct schedule when they started scheduling into his clinic. what a disaster.

I do not recommend this medical office. I scheduled a physical and they were 4 months out. I didn't get a reminder call so I called the office on theday of my appointment and they said my appointment was canceled with no note attached. I was obviously frustrated since I had waited 4 months, but the representative showed no empathy what so ever. Lovelace is not professional in any way and does not know how to service patients.

I tested positive for Covid on July 1st. Since I am a high risk patient, I called to get started on medication. No one ever called back and since this is a four day weekend , they might not call back until Tuesday if then. This does not follow Covid protocol. They seem to have a serious communication problem.

These providers are fatphobic and classist the secretaries are the ones giving the best care unfortunately! I have been going to this facility for years from 2017 and it has been some of the worst care I have received! Please do not come here if you are young or below middle class! They will judge and gaslight you, please remember you know your body better then anyone!

Waste of time trying to get help here. Set up an appointment sometime in 2022 and get a call 1 week before telling me the person I am schedule with does not accept my insurance even though I told the employee on the phone what insurance I am working with. They cannot get me another appointment for another month after I've already waited 4 months. Good thing I have nothing serious going on cause this place seriously doesn't care about any humans well being.

Stay far, far away from Lovelace. The physician I had was great at their job. However, they also told me that my bill would be covered by insurance when I asked (multiple times). I agreed to care that I wouldn't have agreed to if I had not been told this and then received a big bill. I contacted the provider multiple times and they told me they would look into it and get back to me. I never received any call backs or emails until I received a letter saying I will be sent to collections if I don't pay. I'd recommend finding a more honest healthcare provider.

Had a scheduled appointment. I waited for over an hour to see pcp. When I left after my appointment. Other people where complaining about the same thing. Why schedule an appointment if its not going to be held to appointed time. Or even close to it. The strange thing was when I was waiting for my appointment the front desk receptionists were calling clients asking if they could come earlier that day. I am young and relatively healthy. Waiting isn’t a issue but I do work and did not expect half of my day would be wasted sitting in a reception area waiting. I can only imagine if you are in bad health and or get fatigued easily that it could be worse experience.

I called three different times today. I was on hold for over 6 minutes each time before I had to take other calls. What a perfect symbol of how broken our healthcare system is. EDIT: No. You had your chance and you blew it. I'm switching to another healthcare provider.

I’d give no stars if I could . Debra . N is hard to get a hold of . She has extremely long waits for appointment which I understand but look, I set an appointment online (Aug 4) for some serious pain I’ve been having and had NO idea my appointment was a “15 minute appointment” … how ridiculous!!! My appointment was at 315 and I showed at 320 as I was parking . I get to the Aspen check in desk and was told My appointment had been cancelled . The girls at the front test and the MA that came out to “help” were trash at explaining anything . Not coming back . Useless , unhelpful staff. Front desk needs better training .

Saw NP Christina Andre at the Lovelace Medical Group on Jefferson and Osuna for a missed period and an ovarian cyst (tmi, but we’re adults and this is a healthcare). She never examined me, only sent me out on referrals and proceeded to tell me I was going through early menopause due to my tubes being tied (which she didn’t even know they are tied even though it’s in my charts). I asked her if we could test to see if I was in fact premenopausal, she told me she wasn’t able to do that. Which is false, I am a nursing student so of course the first thing I did was search for an article supporting her diagnosis and couldn’t. So I messaged her asking where she got her information and surprise surprise she hasn’t responded and it’s been over a week. I’m seriously doubting if I even want to continue my education in Albuquerque if this is how the medical staff is trained 😔 Over the past two weeks, I’ve been seen if not every two day then every three days in a Lovelace facility going in and coming out with the same pain and have yet to get any answers or even beginnings of finding an answer. Don’t even get me started on how I was treated and lied to trying to get help from other Lovelace facilities after this encounter.

That urology clinic Dr J Baca is a nasty inhuman doctor . No listen and show a lot races with my first visit today . Wow I never see someone like unprofessional like him . And make notes and bad and put a lot craps in my results and I’m not feel like that and I no tell him all that craps him put in my notes , him no listen my symptoms, him speak me like I’m stupid person and I pay a lot money and I’m professional person. I never in my life recommended that clinics or that nasty doctor wow first time and I go so fast outside because that guy act like crazy and nasty . Super nice building and nurse but him is the more nasty unprofessional person I see in New Mexico and is so bad because the facility and nurse are amazing people

Christina Andre, FNP-C is the worst medical provider I have ever seen in my entire life. I was mortified by the medical procedure she preformed on me. I was left bleeding and crying, without any form of comfort or sympathy, she left the room. A nurse should provide comfort and not shame you for being a woman (which she shamed me for certain women procedures). By the way, she came into the room and confused my medical history with another patient, she did not read about my chart before entering and thankfully did not do something to me that should have been done on another person. She violated and hurt me emotionally and physically, only monsters do that. Next time, maybe a real doctor should handle more invasive procedures. Do not see this person for medical help, do not go to lovelace. Never ever see Christina Andre, she is a cruel person.

New patients have to have an office visit first, rather than an annual wellness exam. Zero value add for the patient. Just helps them bill for an office visit they get paid for v. the wellness exam that is covered in full, per the ACA. Cost me $104 and it really ended up being the wellness exam -- labs run, etc. Racket. Disappointed. Won't return. Already found a new practice within the Presbyterian system that took me as a new patient and went straight to a wellness exam.

I book an appointment months in advance and then get a call TWO days prior to the appointment telling me because of THEIR error they have to reschedule me for another SEVERAL MONTHS. Not fair to me as a patient for being treated this way. DO NOT go with lovace for primary care needs. They will throw you on the back burner like they don't even care

The doctors know what they are doing when you see them, but seeing them is the problem and they refuse to provide proper care. I would suggest that any thinking of wanting proper healthcare should not be in Albuquerque. They have refused me care multiple times even when the doctor has requested the care.

I have been disputing an office visit charge since September 13th 2022. Lovelace is by far the worst medical provider in Albuquerque. I have been dealing with customer service to get assistance and was told today, "you need to contact the clinc to get visit coded differently" mind you at the time of the visit I was told there would be no charge it would be coded as an uncompleted visit. This is the second review I am posting about this issue as my first one has been deleted. I'm not one to write terrible reviews as I do believe every business has good and bad. But this one appears to be all bad based on other reviews posted.

I just found out my Sleep Study Doctor is being moved from the Southwest Medical Group on Irving to the Walter Street Hospital. This move is making it harder for me to visit. I have a very difficult time finding a parking place, and when I do it is far from the building. I cant walk the distance sometimes as I have COPD. They don't provide Valet parking, so I am not able to make the 22 round trip to see the doctor in a decent amount of time. I will have to find a doctor closer to my house.

Eva Houghton, MSN, FNP is by far one of the best nurse practitioners we have ever been to. My two teen boys are lucky to have her ~ she listens, explains things in a down-to-earth manner, is very thorough, has great bedside manner, doesn’t make you feel rushed … everything you would want in a practitioner. Thank you, Ms. Houghton!

I was just hospitalized at Lovelace for a perforated bowel. Dr. Imoisi was the hospitalist overviewing my care. They surgeon and staff were excellent; however, this woman should not be practicing medicine. She was rude and dismissive. When I asked her to come back and speak to me like a human she refused. She is unethical and dangerous, Beware people!

I scheduled a new patient appointment 3 months ago and took time off work to come in for it today. The NP is out and they didn't even call me to say it was cancelled. Soonest they can get me in is October 30th. I need prescriptions refilled and labwork done but I'll be waiting another month and a half. Healthcare in this state is complete trash.

I happen to be under the care of several specialists and they are all at the Lovelace. The best thing about them is that they pay attention to the other doctor's notes and stay connected through their network. I have had nothing but great experiences because all of my doctors care about what they do and are very good at it. All of the staff are friendly. I have nothing negative to say..
