My spouse brought our dog in who has advanced cataracts in both eyes. The doctor was callous and uncaring. We were quoted over $6000 for surgery on ONE eye. Who, especially in New Mexico, has that kind of money lying around? This feels like predatory price gouging. We will be putting our sweet baby, the love of our lives, down in a couple of weeks since we were unable to afford this surgery. She’s not adapting at all to being blind and her quality of life has completely diminished. We waited 4 months to get in for a $250 exam that only served to break our hearts. My other dog’s spinal surgery and hospitalization didn’t even cost that much. Let’s not use inflation to justify these kinds of costs. Have a heart.

I took my dog Sheba, a Pit Bull, here for an issue with her eye. An iris freckle. They, the staff, were very good to her. Because of Covid-9, I had to release her to staff for diagnostic and wait outside. They were delighted with her personality and sweetness, which is what I had hoped for. The doctor was very knowledgeable and informed me of what the issue was and explained everything to me concerning her eye. The price was competitive and I was more than satisfied with the visit. I do recommend them based on my one and only visit so far.

Saved my dogs sight. Previous surgery left an undisolved suture rubbing his eye. So grateful to this clinic.

I was sent from an Emergency vet here for an eye injury for my senior pug. I've recieved the best care imaginable for my Chucho pug. They were up front and honest with everything and helped with the costs and saved my Chucho's eyes. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my family's hearts

Very clean, the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The doctors are informative and you can really tell the dedication they are and will put into helping you help your animal with their eye sight. Would definitely suggest getting a referral if your pet is having an eye issue that your primary cannot help with. Prices are a little expensive but I don’t expect anything less from a specialist, you pay for the best!

The vet was great, she did a great job on my dogs eye. The service though is subpar. I waited 45 minutes to see the vet after checking in for my apt. I also had an unexpected expense added to my bill that wasn't talked about during my consultation. Good work from the vet, but wish this place ran more efficiently.

Great experience under the circumstances. Dr Auten was very kind, gentle, and compassionate towards my little four-legged guy. Knowledgeable and comprehensive. Considerate of her to work us in given the nature of the illness. Appreciate the follow-up plan. Would definitely recommend. Bonus was the caring staff!

We got our OFA eye exam done here. Dr. Auten was super kind, went through all the steps with me, and did a wonderful job. The front desk staff and techs were lovely as well. My pup Friday loved everyone too. We’ll be coming back in the future!

We brought our German shepherd puppy, Rip, into Eye care for Animals for a dermoid on his eye that needed to be removed. Dr. Auten and all of the staff were so kind and patient with us, they explained everything that they were doing thoroughly before they did it and gave us all the information that we needed to make our decision on surgical removal. This was his first surgery so we were nervous about him going under anesthesia, but everyone put us at ease and we knew our puppy was in good hands and would be taken care of. He had two follow up appointments (that he had a huge growth spurt during and shot up almost 30lbs 😅) and they handled our big rambunctious puppy with the utmost patient and care. I will forever highly recommend this facility, they are amazing!

If your dog/cat is having unresolved eye issues, then do not hesitate a moment and bring them to Dr. Auten! Eye problems are nothing to mess around with and she and her staff were very knowledgeable, compassionate and professional.

The staff is wonderful and friendly The Eye Doctor is excellent. I have been taking my pup Willie to see her for a year now. She takes time with the person and the patient.
