    The staff here is amazing! The providers are very thorough when it comes to getting to the bottom of your issue and answer any questions you may have. Everyone is super friendly and they all make you feel very welcome. They accommodate you the best they can with scheduling and even if you miss an appointment they are always willing to find you the next available right away. I would definitely recommend this place for any ENT needs.

    The reception here needs a lot of work. I had an appointment scheduled and I left my work to make it on time only to be called as I was exiting the freeway (5 minutes before my appointment) and was told that they have to reschedule my appointment because the doctor went home. This was frustrating because I am missing time at work to essentially not be seen. I reschedule for the following week and am seen by Jacqueline Benavidez. She provided great care and insight. She covers all bases and seems to truly want to find resolution for the patient. This review would be 5 stars for Jacqueline if it was not for the horrible reception experiences. That brings me to my scheduled follow up appointment. I leave work, once again, and drive across the city to the same location I was seen previously and once I arrive, I was told that I was scheduled at their new Louisiana location (which I was not made aware of, nor did I even know they had a new 2nd location in ABQ) they tell me that they need to reschedule me because even if I hurried to the Louisiana location, they were 2 hours behind schedule and couldn't see me anyway. I left and called the Louisiana location to tell them the frustrating situation and let a man named Orlando know that I am heading over and would only be 5 minutes late. He says "Ok" and proceeds to put me a hold, then transfers me to an unknown line with a full voicemail. I call back. No answer. I arrive to the Louisiana location and they tell me that they could not see me (Bonus points if they don't refer to you by your correct name) and I have to be rescheduled. I decided to not reschedule. Not only is their efficiency and communication extremely below average, they don't have the least bit of an apologetic demeanor. Lacking customer service skills all together. It is unfortunate because for the 1st time in a long time I was hopeful about the treatment. I just cannot keep leaving work, driving across town with gas prices as high as they are to be cancelled on at the last minute and be sent to wrong locations.

    The 2 receptionists were very nice and polite. The physician assistant was also very helpful, through and explained possible procedures. Dr. Schmedes was very professional and made me feel important because he took the time to listen and answer my questions. I highly recommend this office for all of your sinus related issues. They also saw me in a couple of days instead of waiting for 8 months like Lovelace ENT scheduled me.

    Scheduling nightmare!! I had 2 appointments scheduled back to back. The first time I went they didn't even have me in the system. The second time I went, which was months later, they only had 1 appointment scheduled. They also lied to me about submitting a referral to my insurance. I called my insurance for details and found out the referral had never been submitted. I'm looking for another provider!!

    The doctor was great and very thorough but we waited over one hour past our appointment time to see him. I ended up missing an appointment I should have been home for. In no other industry would this be acceptable. At a minimum, they should have called to tell me how late they were running.

    Once I found the office through a maze of hallways, I was greeted warmly by the receptionist. The tech was very friendly and put me at ease instantly. It's quite obvious this office cares about their patients and love their jobs. My exam was thorough and Kami was very knowledgeable and gave me options and suggestions that let me know that she knew her stuff! I'm so glad my PCP referred me to the National Sinus Institute!

    Cannot say enough positive feedback for these people. Front desk staff—Awesome!!! Physicians assistant- Awesome!! And of course my doctor, Gregg Schmedes, MD - unbelievably the most thorough doctor. Thank you all !

    Not only are they very timely in getting an appointment, but the front desk is extremely kind & understanding of how people who come in may not be able to speak. Dr. Greg Schmedes was very patient, thorough & calm. It was a relief to be somewhere with expertise & compassion- hard to find at times. Thank you.

    The Eustachian tube expansion procedure went very well with Dr Schmede. The assistants who took me in to review follow-up care for the procedure gave me all the wrong information and it didn’t pertain to the procedure I was having. The doctor informed me of the correct aftercare.

    Was able to get an appointment within a few days of contacting them (astonishing as I've had to wait much longer for an ENT I was already established with before) , and I didn't have to wait long in the lobby even with the new patient paperwork. Pleasant location, easy parking, friendly staff. Glad I found these (new to me) providers.

    I've had a great experience with them. I dealt with them the first time 3 years ago had surgery. Unfortunately some of my sinus grew back and they redid my sinuses. Once again. The stuff is incredible. Definitely recommend this place

    I am a physician and I was impressed with the knowledge and pleasantness of the PA who saw me. We reviewed my MRI, which was complex due to three previous surgeries, and jointly worked out a possible treatment. No complaints, support staff where wonderful.

    The visit was good, and everyone was polite, but I had ear wax removal from one ear, and it was very painful. Over the weekend, I had a hard time hearing out of the ear. Going back today, and hopefully, the matter can be remedied in some way?

    The providers were helpful and accommodating tho management need serious improvement. My surgery that I scheduled two months prior was cancelled with zero communication and contradictory explanations after numerous attempts on my part to find out if I could receive treatment the week before scheduled surgery. My insurance was pre-approved, only for management to tell me after numerous appointments that they claimed I needed prior to my surgery, that my insurance wouldn’t be accepted and they send a massive bill. The “billing specialist” proceeded to yell over me while also lying about providers even looking at ct scans sent to their office. Great providers, horrendous management. Would never go back.

    This was my second visit after I had cancels my initial surgery because of COVID issues a couple of years back. They set up an appointment right away when I explained I needed to be seen. No hassle at all. And the staff were all so informative, and friendly! I highly recommend.

    I went to the Academy location. Every staff member I interacted with were so nice and caring. I was able to get an appointment very quickly. The Health assistant(bryan I think) took time to get my info and was compassionate. Dr. Karsten listened to me and answered every question I had. She did not make me feel like she was in a rush or like I was asking "dumb" questions.

    Staff is rude, management is awful when escalated, they couldn’t fit me in early enough for a broken nose but didn’t communicate this information multiple times which almost left me needed to go into the OR for a simple fix. Very shady billing practices and won’t listen to feedback when provided. Please for your sake find somewhere else to go.

    Staff kept me very upbeat and comfortable pre surgery. Post surgery, staff demonstrated same upbeat attitudes and made me feel I was in the right place. I can breathe freely through my nose and feel the surgery was successful.

    Dr Staples was fantastic, great knowledge and personality. Got my issue resolved quickly and addressed some other issues. Appointment was on time and thorough. Enjoyed the assistant staff as well.

    Dr. Alexander is very knowledgeable and competent. I have struggled with sinus issues for probably 10 years and I now feel that I have hope of being able to move past this and enjoy life more without worrying so much about getting sick. That means more that I can say.

    Albuquerque office could not make an appointment for my husband for 3.5 months. His appointment day finally arrives and they texted him half hour before his appointment to reschedule for the next day. Then they did the exact same thing the next day to cancel AGAIN. When people have to take days off, they want to get seen by the doctor. I guess the 5 star reviews are just from people who actually saw a doctor.

    The people in the office are kind and helpful. But the 15 or 30 min window per patient is unethical. We or our insurance companies pay dearly for a single appointment and the doctor or PA should have sufficient time and not be rushed with their patients. Im sure this policy is decided higher up by the folks watching the profit margins not the quality if care. I have had to wait any where from 20 to 50 minutes for every appointment. Another symptom of short appointment windows. Something needs to change.

    Dr. Schmedes and his team were top notch in handling my procedure and all pre-procedure visits. The procedure room team was excellent to deal with and I especially appreciated the demeanor of the Anesthesiologist who really put me at ease. Post op recovery has been trouble free so far. Thanks to the entire team at National Sinus Institute.

    I drove 3 hours to be seen here and it was worth it!! They are soooo nice and understanding!! They all are great at explaining things for my understanding. And they also made it very convenient for my next couple visits. But the only thing I gotta say I didn't like which is outta there control is it was only like a 20 min app. For the 3 hours I did drive lol.

    This has to be the most unprofessional doctors office I have ever dealt with. They continued to contact me to schedule an appointment because we were referred by our primary. Our primary made sure they accepted our insurance before referring us here. This doctors office then proceeded to contact my primary saying they could not get ahold of me to schedule the appointment, finally I got in touch with them and scheduled an appointment. The receptionist got all my information and said they in fact did accept our insurance. I scheduled the appointment which was 45 minutes away. We arrived and the SAME receptionist that made the appointment and got my information the first time said she had scheduled me with a provider that did not accept our insurance. This office took zero responsibility for their mistake, basically said too bad and get out. Worst professionals ever! I understand people make mistakes but to take no responsibility for wasting people’s time is unacceptable. There are so many other ENT office in Albuquerque please do research before schedule with them.
