My beloved cat was injured recently and I went to the first pet hospital that came up on my search which was Petroglyph. My cat was gravely injured but the staff and veterinarian here were wonderful, compassionate and worked so hard to save my boy. He didn't make it but knowing and seeing how hard they worked to care for him brought me comfort. After he died they brought him into am exam room so I could be with him and say goodbye. They dimmed the lights and allowed me to stay as long as I wanted. They made me a paw print and put it into a little frame with the rainbow bridge poem without me even asking. Everyone was just amazing and made such a sad and difficult time for me a little easier. They weren't pushy wanting payment or for me to leave right away. They also had cremation services available which was also a huge relief. Also the bill for everything they did was no where near what I expected including the cremation. I CANNOT THANK every single staff member who was there and helped me and my boy. I will forever be grateful for the care we received.

This was the worst experience with our animal. Our cat was having some obvious problems with sneezing and weeping eyes. We came in assuming it would be a simple fix. This insane lady Amanda the Vet said my cat had anxiety. Which is odd because she's so healthy and happy and never been anxious in any way. She prescribed gabapentin and after giving the first dose to our cat was u well! She was on the floor non responsive. She had short breath for the entire night. Glazed over eyes and I instinct on herself. She couldn't even stand or walk. It was so heartbreaking to see her this way. She is a younger healthy cat that never had any sign of distress or stress. I honestly thought she was going to pass away. I do NOT recommend taking your pet in to see these people! They charged a lot to see you pet for urgent care which costs us $200 plus. Side note we did have her seen my reputable Veterinarian later who said she would be ok and to never give her that medication again. She should never have been given that. And all along it was we assumed, she had an environmental allergy. This Vet lady is not to be trusted with you fur babies! DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE!!!!!

We had to put down our 11 year old Pittie and it was the hardest thing we’ve had to do for a pet. But the staff made the experience easier and more pleasant than I anticipated. The cost of the cremation service was very reasonable for the package we received. And the presentation is very special to all of us. Thank you!

Dr. Jones and the front desk staff here are INCREDIBLE. I have been a wreck for days about my Vizsla not feeling well. They have been understanding, compassionate, PATIENT and gotten him in way sooner than originally planned for testing. I feel confident in his care. They are also dramatically more affordable than other emergency vets.

Our poor miniature dachshund, Sarge, had an allergic reaction to his rabies shot that he had received earlier that day. We thought his airways were closing up so we called Petroglyph Animal Hospital immediately. The receptionist told us to bring him in right away. As soon as we got in they took him into their care immediately. The staff was caring and responsive in what we thought was a medical emergency for our pup and they assured us that everything would be ok. Thank you Petroglyph Animal Hospital for taking care of Sarge when no one else was available!

I want to give ALL of the staff a giant THANK-YOU!!! The Doctors and Surgeon saved my dogs life!!!! Bastian was brought in so sick, and they discovered an obstruction in his intestine. He was there 4 days and they kept in constant contact with me during everything! They even highly encouraged me to visit so he wouldn’t feel abandoned. When I spoke to the 24 hour (after hours technician) after his surgery, she knew him immediately and spoke sooo kindly of him and reassured me of his progress. When we picked him up, we chatted with the front desk staff (it was late and slower) and they were just such great girls! During the 4 days, every time I called they all new him, which made me feel like he was loved there and were so patient with my questions. After we took him home, they followed up with me to make sure he was doing okay and if I had any questions. These guys are amazing! I will note this…..they are always busy, so please be as patient as they are with you. I know it’s hard when your loved one is not well, but they are helping so many people and their pets. Give respect, get respect. Thank you Petroglyph for giving me many more years with my baby. I will recommend you to everyone! The 2nd pic is my baby home ❤️ Also since he has been home, he has been energetic and happy, but we keep him contained until he is fully better 🥰

I was going to rate them higher but the interaction on the phone post follow up was not appreciated. Thankful that they were able to see our dog as a walk in on Saturday, 9/16. Not happy about the lack of communication on waiting times. The board stated 2-3 hours and at hour 3.3 we asked about our place in line. We were informed about the many emergencies that had come in and there was only one doctor. Communication would have been appreciated after 2 hours. We spoke with the doctor and they stated that if we needed more medication for our dog, we could request it. Never was it mentioned that it was a 1 dose regiment. The person calling us back asked us if we had read the doctor's note. After getting there at 9am and not leaving until 3p, we were too tired to read the notes and were dependent on the doctor's comment. *After speaking with the clinic manager, I am going to give them grace since it was only one individual. Changing my rating from a 2 to a four.

I hardly write reviews but I felt this was worthy of positive feedback. We had to bring our American Bulldog in on a Sunday due to a potentially fatal intestinal obstruction. Not only was the staff kind and understanding, but they were compassionate and caring toward our four legged little girl. The waiting room was packed, but due to the severity, they were able to get expedited blood work and x-rays confirming our fear. Dr. Jones had explained the potential risks and what was involved with the surgery due to the potential of opening the intestines. We agreed and proceeded to trust the good doctor with our pup. She called right after the surgery with great news. Not only was the surgery a success but instead of cutting into the intestines, the object was silicone and circular creating a perfect obstruction but allowing Dr. Jones to milk the object all the way back to be removed via her rear end. The risk for sepsis was avoided and she explained that only if the object has to be removed with surgery, they would always try a safer approach and method. Thank you for all your team has done. We appreciate all of your hard work! Cant recommend enough, especially for a weekend visit.

The staffs and the owner is phenomenal.😺 I was in tears when I called that morning and spoke to a staff member Veronica. Immediately had me come down and get him check out. They saved my cat Stormy. 🐈‍⬛He had a broken and shattered front leg. Surgery was scheduled and he pulled threw like a champ. Kiddos 🙌

I cannot express how grateful we are for the amazing service we received. We unfortunately had to say goodbye to our much loved dog. Veronica Lujan at the front desk was so caring. To make our baby comfortable, she gave him water and a blanket while we waited. Dr. Esponiza showed the most compassion and empathy we could ever ask for. She was very knowledgeable, trustworthy, and kind. I highly recommend this location for animal care to anyone!!!

I really loved this place before covid. Dr. Atkinson was one of the best veterinarians we've ever had. She went above and beyond to save our dog Bucket. It was the best experience with a vet we've had. However we took our dog Chili in after a bad seizure and were told to just monitor her and come back if she had another. Unfortunately they were too busy to see her. She died that night from a massive seizure. Then after that we took our Roonie to get seen and I feel that all they wanted to do was sell me something as soon as the vet walked in the office. I miss Dr. Atkinson. Guess I'm going to look for a vet like her somewhere. It just felt like they didn't care too much about my concerns with Roonie. Now I've changed it to 1 star. I thought I'd give them one more chance. I called 3 times and was put on a hold for 10 minutes before hanging up. They don't even answer the phone anymore. New vet for us. Sad.

Came in today to bring my brothers dog who is vomiting and has severe diarrhea. He will not eat or drink. He is just incredibly sick. At check in I was told it would be a 2-3 hour wait and that I could not leave or else I would lose my spot. I waited in the parking lot for 2 hours, then called to check on the remaining wait time. At that point I was told it would be another 3 hours and again, I could not leave. I cannot believe a vets office would make customers wait 5 hours at their office to be seen. There has to be a more efficient way to run an office. Avoid this place at all costs.

I can't fully explain enough how thankful I am to the staff and doctors at petroglyph. Not only did they help me out but they took exceptionally good care of my baby. They called with updates when he was medically boarded there they took good care of him as well. Plus also their manager was just simply incredible and this should be one of the top rated animal hospitals In the city....

I had such a positive caring experience when I took my dog to petroglyph. They were informative and available in every way. Plus, they cost half the price as everywhere else. They genuinely cared about my dogs wellbeing and made sure they made the safest least invasive option when it came to my dogs health . They were great and I would recommend them to anyone who was looking for a vet for their pet.

I had a terrific experience taking in my cat. I know I got lucky because I took a shot on a place I knew nothing about. They fixed up my sweet girl and did it at a fair price. Thank you!!

Dr Atkinson & her team saved Sadie pig's life due to an Emergency surgery situation. Petroglyph Animal Hospital took Sadie girl on a whim when they were already busy within the day-completed the 4-hour successful surgery on my potbellied pig after Dr. Atkinson had already been working all day long & now Sadie is acting like her old normal self wanting to eat every second of the day. There are not Enough words to Describe my Thankfulness/Gratitude towards the Petroglyph Animal Hospital,, to Dr Atkinson as well as to the entire Staff 100% Professional Caring & Kind attitudes @ Petroglyph! I wholeheartedly back up this Veterinarians Hospital & if I could have given Infinity amount of Positive stars for a rating I would have.

Adopted my sweet Leo, and a few days later he had the worst hacking fits. Petroglyphs was able to get him in the same morning I called, which I was so thankful for. A lot of places won't get you in for a day or so at times but they had no hesitation. Staff were so friendly and compassionate. Dr. Randall was attentive, patient and gentle with my little guy. We couldn't be happier with our experience and will be going back as regular clients for Leo's ongoing check-ups.

I took my dog Oscar for an emergency walk in Saturday morning due to coughing uncontrollably. Unfortunately they found a tumor near his trachea. The vet prescribed medication to help with coughing, pain amd inflammation. Although I may not have him for long Oscar's cough has gone down dramatically, he still wants to play and go for walks. Thank you for making whatever time he has left comfortable. I am truly grateful.

I was so happy with the treatment of my dog here. She was sick and i didn't know why but they did everything they could to help me and made sure i got the medicine that she needed. The whole visit was about two hours and every step of the way they made sure me and my dog were okay and that i knew everything that they were going to be doing and what would happen next if need be. I would go back here again if i needed to in an emergency. I will, probably be using them for my other vet needs as well.

I am very thankful for the staff at Petroglyph Animal Hospital, they were professional, kind and quick to help me with my sick cat. The lobby was obviously very busy with other animals but they still made me feel taken care of. They are a very respectful staff and are the animal hospital I’ve felt comfortable taking my pets to. Thank you!

The doctor and staff were friendly and helpful with my two year old dachshund. She received an annual check up, vaccine and a nail clipping too. They were very good to her. I strongly recommend Petroglyph! They look after the health and needs of your pet(s).

Counter staff was friendly smart and fast. Techs didnt listen well. Vet was barely functional. I came in about 8:30 am after calling multiple vets for ER the night before., all closed. My cat was lethargic and overheating. An emergency. They quickly checked him and determined he's stable. I wanted to drop him off and come back after dropping off bf in AM but they wouldn't let me because I was new. I could have left a deposit but they didn't ask. So the cat had to ride in the car again. I came back and waited 2 hours for a walk-in visit. Too much for us, cat needs to drink use bathroom, I made appointment that afternoon and came back. The waiting room was super cold and that kept him cool but it's a very small busy waiting room and there were barking dogs. Finally checked in but had to wait in room more than 30 min. Blood test and urinalysis. Vet thought he had a virus but did not test till i asked for it. I asked for felv test it was neg. All 5 of my other cats are not sick. No discussions on FIP or heat exhaustion. Felt like she just wanted money. Offered to use IV and keep him overnight "around a thousand dollars" yet my cat spent all day waiting in a crate. Makes no sense. I told them he's been losing weight. His sides are sunken and spine protruding but she didn't take me seriously. No discussion on this or possible parasites I mentioned. Not the smartest vet I ever met. I will follow up with my regular vet. The waiting room was clean with a keurig and vending machine and movies The bathroom was clean. If it wasn't for this I would have just skipped out to another vet.

We had to bring our Tullie cat in as an emergency walk in. He was taken in the minute we got there. Everyone was so kind and took such good of him, and of me. 😊 His medicine was changed, and he’s already so much more like himself. It’s beyond appreciated that he wasn’t put through any unnecessary testing or procedures. Tullie definitely recommends Petroglyph!

I have taken our super anxious and nervous pup here for emergencies and they were really great. I just called to request to speak to the surgeon who did the surgery less than 3 months ago and the receptionist said they wouldn't do anything for us unless we brought him in. I'm disappointed because after sending about $3k between 2 surgeries, I thought I would at least be able to talk to a Dr or technician. Great for urgent situations and emergencies though.

I brought an elder dog in for her wellness exam and to renew some of her prescriptions. What impressed me about Dr Espinosa and the staff: they were careful and thorough on the exam, asked questions, and explained details clearly. They were gentle with Cleo and made quite the fuss over her, which she appreciated. This is a good place for dogs (and other furred critters).

Great Experience. The night of Christmas my dog started limping on his hind leg I was very upset and stressed out. Early the next morning I was told to go in at 8am & it may be a 1-3 hour wait to be seen. I was seen within an hour. The Doctor was very informative And gave me options. All the staff was very pleasant. Would definitely return here. Thank you all so much!!

During the course of one week our Labrador retriever had been having issues with appetite and dark stool. We found Petroglyph Animal Hospital and noticed they were open early the next day. We arrived right when they opened. The staff at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful during our check-in process. They also did the work to collect our dog’s vaccination records from a previous clinic, as I didn’t have the latest information. After about 30 minutes we were taken back and the veterinary staff helped us out. We ended up leaving with blood work, prescriptions, a quote for an ultrasound (if we needed to go that route). Dr. Randall even did a quick ultrasound to check that something wasn’t easily noticeable, (the ultrasound tech was out at that time). The staff was very helpful at explaining the care plan and the price was extremely reasonable for it being an urgent visit. We’ve been to a few different vets over time and this was the best experience we’ve had to date. Dr. Randall was extremely kind and we are extremely grateful for the care he provided. We’ll be taking both our dogs here from now on.

I took my dog Batman here when he was sick. They we so kind and caring and did their best to take care of him. When we realized Batman had gotten worse we had to make the decision every pet owner dreads, They were respectful and patient with us. Saying goodbye to Batman, my lifelong friend and brother, was really difficult but they were understanding. ❤️

Petroglyph did dental surgery on a skeletal cat that wandered into my yard. The baby's mouth was full of heavy tartar, cavities, and infected teeth and gums. After surgery, where nine teeth were removed, he was a happy cat for a week then suddenly he was a mass of mouth pain. They rechecked his mouth and gave him new medications. If by the end of his antibiotic regimen he isn't pain-free, they'll inspect him under anesthesia again. Very pleased with their care and professionalism.

I cannot begin to say enough about the caring and professionalism of this veterinary practice. Every experience I have had with every staff member here has been exceptional. I recently had to say goodbye to my old dog, and I felt that both she and I were supported and cared for throughout the process. I have been to quite a few animal hospitals through the years with my pets, and this one is, by far, the finest experience I have ever had. Thank you Dr. Ku, Taylor and Veronica as well as everyone else there who is a part of the team.

👍👍 THANK GOD for Aztec Animal Clinic! Literally life savers for helping us in our boys time of need.
