Our 7 year old boxer had a torn CCL, was limping quite a bit and needed knee surgery. We opted for a TPLO repair, wich was beyond our regular vet’s expertise. After some shopping around we came across TLC Pet Hospital, where we got a free consultation and a good feeling that our dog would be well cared for. We didn’t have to regret our decision! The surgery went smoothly and we could pick up our dog at the end of the same day. Post-surgery check-ups were included for the next 4 months, and during this whole time the personnel was available for any questions and concerns of ours. They shared X-ray radiographs, gave us tips for physical therapy / rehab (passive and active), and how to dose the meds (if necessary). Altogether, it took around 6 months for our dog to get back to her level of activity prior to her injury. Now she is almost 8 years old and is able to run, jump and go on up to 4 hour hikes in the mountains. We would definitely recommend TLC Pet Hospital for procedures like this!

Literally worst vet experiences ever. They never have any flexibility or urgent (non-emergent) appointments open for established clients who are willing and able to have any and every diagnostic studies and tests done for their pets. We’ve seen the staff put their phones off the hook so they don’t have to answer calls. They are understaffed and inadequate on every measure. Stop taking patients if you do not have time or staff to see them; it’s a disservice to everyone involved, most of all the patients that these vets vowed to serve. TLC, don’t bother responding with the essays I’ve seen in “defense” of other negative reviews you’ve gotten. Maybe take in the feedback and make some actionable changes instead of composing an essay.

We had our very first appointment today for a growth on our dogs ear that’s really severe and bleeding and bothers her as she scratches it constantly. Our appointment was at 8:30am. We ran into a car accident that backed up traffic pretty badly on our way there so i called and let them know we were on our way but running late. We arrived at 8:46 and got to the desk at 8:47. They let us know that because we were more than 15 mins late that they cancelled our appointment. We were less than 2 WHOLE MINUTES past our 15 min grace period. Now i work in a clinical setting and i understand how frustrating it is when patients are late. But we didn’t just walk in late and assume we would be seen regardless of the time, i made sure to call as soon as i knew we’d be late. Also, we were LESS THAN TWO MINUTES past our grace period. Not only that, the woman working at the front desk left us waiting over 10 mins to see if we could be seen and then didn’t even come back to tell us herself that we wouldn’t be seen. The entire visit was frustrating. Our dog is miserable and bleeding and we really needed her to be seen today. I won’t ever schedule back there or refer anyone there. The lack of understanding and compassion we received today had both my girlfriend and i leaving there almost in tears. On top of all that, every single other vet we tried to call is booked out months. So our poor baby has to suffer even longer.

TLC is a hospital full of hard working doctors and staff that care deeply for their patients. Dr Georges has been our family’s veterinarian for many years and we are happy when we can see her at TLC. She cared for two of our geriatric patients in the last year and was kind, compassionate and a true professional when we had to say our hard goodbyes. We appreciate her and the caring staff of TLC

First time going here because our baby kitten unfortunately needed amputation. From the very first phone call I made I knew I'd like this place. Jocelyn was the receptionist and she seems like she genuinely cares front he second you talk to her. They took such good care of my kitty. Explained everything so well and reach out to make sure things are going well. If your animal is going here, it's under AMAZING care. Thank you all for taking such loving care of my kitten.

Dr long is amazing. Been with TLC since my puppies were first adopted 5 years ago. She also cared for my older dog as we went through end of life care and she provided compassionate amazng care every step of the way right until the last second of his 15 years of life. Can't say enough about her or TLC.

I became a client at TLC Pet Hospital about two years ago at the urging/recommendation of my veterinarian, Dr. Georges. I'd met her 8 years prior, when she was on staff at a veterinary clinic near my former home. Among the clinics where she has offered her services, TLC Pet Hospital was one she felt had the client's best interest as one of its core values coupled with an exemplary group of veterinarians working there. I have found the culture at TLC to be professional, courteous and caring. Appointment reminders are always sent via text and e-mail to me, phone calls following a procedure are made within 24 hours to check on the status of the patient, and the check-in staff, in my experience, is always friendly, kind and respectful. In the 10 years I've known Dr Georges, she has provided top-notch veterinary care to my fur babies: a now deceased Chow Chow dog, two now deceased Siamese cats, and is currently caring for my two rescue Siamese felines. I have the utmost confidence in her knowledge of veterinary medicine and in her skills and abilities as a veterinarian. Dr Georges has my complete trust when it comes to medical care for my fur babies and has always demonstrated a kind and caring demeanor towards me and my pets.

TLC Pet Hospital is great. Everybody is very friendly and they answer all of my questions (even when I feel like I'm asking too many). Dr. Hood is amazing. She diagnosed my senior cat, Leo, with hyperthyroidism, and she helped us get medication that controlled his thyroid levels without making him sick. She also performed Leo's dental cleaning / teeth extractions. She kept me updated on cost changes throughout the procedure and TLC checked in on Leo the day after to see that he was recovering well. When I let them know that Leo wasn't eating much after his teeth cleaning/extractions, they gave him appetite stimulants for free. I love and highly recommend TLC Pet Hospital!

I just took my cat Penny for her new client visit to TLC Pet hospital. We adopted Penny from the East Side Albuquerque Animal Humane and selected TLC from their list of recommended providers. Our first visit was free because we scheduled it within two weeks of our adoption. We were seen right at our scheduled time and the tech and the doctor gave her a thorough once over. The office is convenient to us and efficient and friendly! I look forward to years of great care for my little Penny

I have been using TLC Pet Hospital since 1993. My first pet was a Black Pomeranian, Dr. Salas was his doctor for many years until he passed away. Dr. Brianna Brandt, is now the Doctor that currently cares for my Toy Schnauzer Oscar. Oscar is my World, he has been going to TLC ever since he was a Puppy… he is now 13 years old. The TLC staff has been great to my Pets & me all these years and I will continue to use them for all my Pets needs as long as I have Pets. They are very knowledgeable and caring. I recommend them to anyone. Thank you Dr, Brandt & Staff!! ❤️

I have been a long time client of TLC Pet hospital. They have always provided my pets with great service and kindness. I have had the pleasure of having my older girls being seen by Dr. Georges. She has always been kind and patient with my pets and myself. Always fully explaining what she is doing as she is doing the exams and why she recommends certain diagnostics. She has always had the best interest of my pet's care. When I added a elderly Chihuahua to the gang, she came up with a plan to help improve his Quality of Life. Though he was with us for only 2 months, he had the best quality care provided by Dr. Georges. She would call weekly to check and see how he was doing. I have and will always be grateful for her saving my Maisy's life, when she went into Anaphylaxis Shock, though Maisy is no longer with us, I send Dr. Georges a thank you for giving me that much more time with her, as I could have lost her a few years ago. There is so much more appreciative moments I could list, but please make an appointment to see her and get the same quality care for your pets when she is their Doctor. You cannot go wrong with Dr. Georges and TLC pet hospital.

Dr Salas and his staff are excellent! I brought Lola in for a TPLO surgery and couldn’t be happier. From start to finish it has been an incredibly smooth process. The cost was right on par with what my research taught me. I’d recommend TLC to anyone in need of canine care.

GREAT service and VERY caring people. We had to put one of our dogs down last month and were VERY impressed with the private room we were given and how they'd come in periodically to check on us. We've taken our dogs there for years now and will continue to do so. Just great people.

Vet long and Tech Chris were fantastic with my baby girl. I appreciated that we got in for an appointment the next day and whole there it was a quick wait to see the doctor. Beat of all no unnecessary test done

Great place! my cat rocket and my dog chancho both had extensive surgeries and the customer service was just phenomenal. Everyone cared about and remembered my animals! The price wasn't the cheapest out there but it's worth it to know your pets are in good hands!

The staff is not about caring for your animals. I had a dog that has been going to TLC since she was a puppy. She was having some kind of allergic reaction and vomiting and dry heaving. They did not have the time to at least see her in between appointments. However, Petroglyph Animal Hospital made the time for her in between appointments. Jemiah is in the wrong industry and has no empathy. Well they now have 4 less dogs so maybe they can make time for other pets in need.

The are in a new location that is bigger then the last. The staff was helpful as always. And kept themselves very composed and professional when dealing with a lady that came in 1 1/2hrs. early for an appointment that was scheduled for later. Thinking that if the lobby wasn't busy and just because she came in early she would be accomidated. Good job front end.

I arranged my mother’s viewing after she passed around my dogs vet appt because this place schedules so far out. Also I took in my late mother’s dog and had to make sure my dog was up to date on all her stuff. The morning of they cancel and don’t make an appointment to reschedule. They call the next day and say they can get her in in two hours or in two weeks. I have mentioned that I am also funeral planning and that this is hard to do and there was no condolences or effort, just a “I’m sorry this isn’t a good time, call back when it is.” I wanted to come here after a good experience with an emergency surgery my dog had but after all this, I’d rather give my money to ANY other veterinarian office around town. Edit to their response: if you have ever had to funeral plan, maybe you can understand how drop off and pick up whenever or less than a 2 hour warning for an open appt is not acceptable or easily able to accommodate. You can write all the paragraphs in the world but it doesn’t make your humanity come through at all.

The first time we went to TLC we saw Dr. Lavin. She was amazing!!! She sat on the floor with our dogs, literally inspected every corner of their bodies, and spent lots of time explaining her clinical judgement. We felt she did such a thorough job of evaluating our pets and she gave us lots of feedback and options for some of their health issues. The second time we went to TLC, we had a negative experience with the new vet Dr. Hood, who was very unpleasant. My wife felt pressured to put our dog on the schedule for an elective surgery, and we felt she was condescending about a course of antibiotic therapy as our dog had a UTI. As a physician myself, I know there's no reason to talk to patients this way. Maybe she was having a bad day, but we will be seeing Dr. Lavin moving forward!

Amazing folks here at the TLC pet hospital. I felt very comfortable leaving our tiny 7 lb dog in their care for massive teeth needs. They followed up afterwards as all good vets do. Kudos to this caring company. Well done.

Nice office and one of the shortest waits of any recent appointments. Regarding Dr. Georges, we loved the astute attention to detail and endearing bedside manner. My daughter praised her wealth of good advice for a new pet owner. She quickly won our dog and us over. We learned how to encourage and care for our new Chihuahua, what important things to be aware of and various other aspects of new dog ownership. We've found our forever vet for our pet!

I've been taking my little guy here for years! The staff and Dr. Lyons are the best! Thank you for taking such good care of Guiness today, and removing that nasty sticker from under his tongue! I highly recomend TLC!

From day one, Dr Salas has been an incredible doctor for our German Shepherd, Leo. We required a Board Certified Surgeon because he had to have a digit amputated. His bedside manner was a five star and he clearly explained each and every step to us. The day of the surgery, he called right after to let us know how it went and to let us know what to expect going forward. We have had contact with multiple vet techs, administrative personnel and receptionists and every single one of them has been kind and treated us with respect. The follow up care and medication explanation was phenomenal. Our regular vet wasn’t able to assist us with this complex surgery but we’re really thankful for the great referral. Thank you Dr Salas and to all who assisted. We really appreciate you and look forward to Leo’s follow up care.

We come to TLC to see Dr. Georges, who has been providing veterinary care for my dog, Piper, since she was a puppy. After over 5 years of vaccines and other tests and procedures, Dr. Georges is still one of Piper’s favorite people. By this point, she has gotten to know me as a client and my comfort level with pursuing different treatment plans, but she is always thorough in explaining when there are different options to let you choose what best meets your current goals/circumstances. On every visit she makes sure to ask what questions or concerns I have as a pet parent, and then she actually listens and thoughtfully responds. She is caring and straightforward and committed to practicing exceptional veterinary medicine, so we will continue to go to TLC as long as she is there. We have enjoyed the hospital, as well. The new facility is spacious, clean, and updated. The staff has been friendly and helpful and their pricing is very reasonable.

Wouldn't trust my fur babies to anyone else. They are so good with them and the Vets/Vet techs were very kind when I lost my boy. They helped both me and him through the transition.

They have been great with all our pets. Our Murphy had cancer and they got us in last minute when it was time to say goodbye. Professional, courteous, and caring.

This place wasn't the best. They gave me the run around on a follow up appt. They also prescribed my pet an outrageous amount of medication due to his size being so small. I also got pulled aside from a customer that said not to bring my pet there .She was only there to have her dogs nails clipped and it was already paid for.And on top of it all the amount I was charged was very high.I also had to get a stool sample and while waiting for results they called me a week later to tell me it was lost in transit.Good luck if you decide to take your pets there.

I believe Dr Carver was our zvet that day and she was very thorough with the exam and treatment. I work for Animal Humane and will express my feelings to our clinic. Both my wife and myself thought you price to be reasonable as we are both on limited income. If anyone asks where to take there pet I will definitely refer them to TLC PET HOSPITAL. THANK YOU for everything.

TLC Pet Hospital has been a lifesaver! They went out of their way to find a cancellation for my cat who was injured even though we were first time patients. Dr. Brandt is calm, professional, and knowledgeable. I have been to half the vets in Albuquerque and have not found anyone anywhere near her level of quality and knowledge. She is thorough, kind and she listens! She never talks down to me or tries to push unnecessary procedures or products on me either. I feel good when I leave knowing my pets were treated well... and so am I. 😁 Major perk: they have sliding glass doors that open automatically! All vets and laundromats should follow suit.

Our puppy Hades had parvo and I had taken him to all three emergency vet clinics and not one of them would help us. All other vets were booked so we just walked in to tlc and the staff were great they took us in and the vet was super they really cared about my dog. Well our boy is home and feeling much better. Thank you staff at TLC you are heros in my book.

👍👍 THANK GOD for Aztec Animal Clinic! Literally life savers for helping us in our boys time of need. 😠 DO NOT waste your time or your money taking your fur babies here.
