First time visit for our 9 week old puppy. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Their curbside exam went much smoother than I had anticipated. The technician and doctor were both knowledgeable and more than willing to answer all of my questions. Very happy with the decision to switch to Acequia for all of our fur baby needs.

I'm in my 60's and have had animals of all kinds over the course of my entire life. I have dealt with many, many vets over the years, both small animal and large animal veterinarians. Dr. Philpot is the worst vet, by far, that I have ever dealt with. Part of being a good doctor is to be able to talk to, and communicate with your patient and animal owners. In other words, have at least a little bit of some bed side manners with your clients/patients/pet owners. A doctor should NOT continually talk down to, interrupt, not listen to, talk to the patients owners as if they are absolutely stupid and have nothing value added to say, etc. I would NOT recommend this clinic!!! Your response to my review was to go on and on trying to justify how poorly you treat not just people in general, but your paying clientele. I paid $115 for a visit to where you didn't even do a complete examination of my dog. I brought him in due an infection in his ear, you spent 95% of the time in the room for the exam on the opposite side of the room complaining about my dog and about me even talking during your exam. You peeked in one ear for no longer than 2 to 3 seconds, never even looked in the other ear, but went back to complaining about me and the dog. I can guarantee you, my dog sensed your anxious behavior which made him more anxious. I think you should really think about treating others how you would like to be treated.

We had our cat for 17 years. Acequia Animal Hospital is personally responsible for the last three years of her life. They made her golden years happy and comfortable and we are so thankful for that. I'd had that cat since I was in kindergarten. With their help, she saw me through college. When we told them our cat died last month, they cried along with us. I love these guys. I just adopted a one year old kitty and I'll be making her first appointment at Acequia soon! <3 Update, five years later- Tonight our wonderful boy Odin crossed the rainbow bridge. This was a truly horrible day, but Dr. Philpot, Jasmine, and team made his passing so peaceful. I am so thankful to this clinic and everyone who works here.

When we put Zeus down the whole staff was very compassionate and we were able to go right into the room. No waiting in the waiting room for everyone to see me balling my eyes out. Dr. Fiorello has/was very understanding from time of diagnosing Zeus to him passing. She treated us like family and that really made the process easier. I followed my favorite vet, Dr. Philpott, from her previous clinic and I must say, I’m so glad I did. Everyone has been so kind and helpful and accommodating. Jasmine, the tech, is awesome and super patient with my dogs- this recent visit the front staff even came and took my payment in the exam room so that my dog and the cat out in the lobby would not have to cross paths. I’m sure the kitty was happy not to have to have his day made any worse by having my dog bark at him in the lobby.

Vet and Tech were super good with our cat. The vet chatted with us about her health and options to give her a better quality of life. We really appreciate their gentleness and caring.

I moved cross-country to Albuquerque and my cat became sick just as I arrived. Acequia scheduled their first available appointment and provided advice on how to care for her in the meantime. Dr. Stephanie picked up her care right where we left off with our previous vet and my cat is doing well. I couldn't be more grateful for their help, especially considering the circumstances.

My first visit was amazing. Dr. Philpott and Ashley did everything they could to make my shy dog feel comfortable. They listened to my concerns and followed up with more information the same day. I will be taking both my dogs to Dr. Philpott and Acequia from now on.

I got off to a rough start with these guys initially: long story short, I was given a wildly inaccurate and underestimated quote for services by someone who later admitted that they weren't in a position to quote prices. Luckily, I went back and gave them a 2nd chance a few months later based on how convenient their location is for me. Everyone that I've interacted with since then has been knowledgeable and professional and I'm happy to have a vet that I trust so close to home.

Without a doubt this is the best animal clinic. They are all very caring and friendly. What I appreciate the most is when my dog is sick or injured they always call a few days later and follow up and check on them.

Acequia Animal Hospital provides professional and sincere service to their clientele. I have been taking my elderly cat to this clinic for a few months now, and I am pleased with their concern for his wellbeing, and recommendations for his care. He recently had 4 of his teeth removed, and the surgery went very well. They did the necessary blood work to be sure he was healthy enough for the surgery. The vet tech that helped out with his procedure also called for follow up the next morning to check on him and see how he was feeling. I was happy to report no more bad breath, and no more ouchy teeths. This speaks volumes about how much the employees here really do care about their patients. I am thrilled to have them looking after my good boy. Thank you Acequia!

First time visiting Acequia Animal Hospital with our new puppy Cocopuff, everyone was very friendly and caring. Answered all our questions and gave us great tips on training and care.

This place was recommended by a friend, and I couldn't be more pleased. Our cat needed dental surgery, a very difficult decision for my husband and me, since several years ago our dog underwent a similar surgery by a different vet. That experience was nothing less than traumatic. But with our cat under the care of Acequia, we were convinced this was the right decision all the way through to aftercare. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all staff we encountered -- front office, vet techs, and of course Dr. Gray and Dr. Fiorello. Thank you for your compassion and trustworthiness!

Having a dog will bless you with the happiest days of your life, but also with some of the most sad, worst days. I am grateful to Dr. Bonnie Gray and all of the staff at Acequia for being so incredibly helpful, responsive, patient and kind to me and my dogs. They are like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. We have two dogs with very different personalities. Dr. Philpot is great at working with reactive animals. I have never seen a vet be able to pet my girl. We also had a great experience with Dr. Grey with our other girl. We have switched vets and will be coming here for all of their needs.

I have 2 Rottweilers, and I am careful with whom I take them to. This was our first time and they did a great job! I took our girl to a different vet and they never commented on some eye issues that she’d been having, Dr George’s commented right away and did a thorough exam of both my dogs. I had to bring in my puppy a few days later and we saw Dr Philpott, she was fantastic as well! The front desk staff is on top of it and super friendly.

The facility is clean with good management, the staff efficient and courteous. Dr. Bonnie Gray attended to our dog fully, observing and educating me throughout her exam of Zoe. As the visit progressed Dr. Gray took me through a print-out of specific protocols and tiers of expense, allowing me to choose the most effective ones within our budget. At the end of the visit, she reviewed prescriptions and dosages. Within 24 hours of putting the prescriptions and protocols to work, Zoe was significantly improved. Now, not quite a week later, she is stabilized in her new routine and recovered! What a relief to find a veterinarian who cares deeply, is "up with" current research, and communicates so well.
