The staff is absolutely lazy and inattentive. There is rarely any sanitizing wipes available and the "regulars" seem to not even bother cleaning the machines. Most likely due to the lack of sanitizing wipes. The guys at the counter are either busy with their faces in their phones or lewdly glaring at women as they leave the facility. OR their are laying on the waiting area couch. Not sitting, but laying out like it's their mf crib. When the sunset is just right you can see the glimmer of fawkn hair in all the corners of walls and machinery. I now truly understand the why the phrase "you get what you pay for" was popularized.

I've been working out at Crunch on Juan Tabo for about a year and a half now. When I began, it was great with Keith as General Manager. However, in the past year this place has really gone downhill. Currently, it seems as if they've just given up. The new general manager is inexperienced, and just in way over her head. She, along with many of the employees, just sit at the front desk (when someone is there) chatting and looking at their phones. Much of the time they don't acknowledge people entering or leaving. Honestly, that doesn't really bother me. It's the filthy, disrepair state of the gym that gets me. The only two urinals in the men's locker room have been out of order for months. Months! So, don't sit in one of the stalls because the seats are always covered in urine. The sinks are often broken, and the general cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The lack of cleanliness is a problem throughout the entire gym, not just the men's locker room. The upholstery on several machines is torn and tattered, and worst of all, there are (almost) never any wipes for the machines. They seriously just put out a spray bottle with a communal towel. Yeah, disgusting. Hello, NM Department of Health. Unfortunately, I paid in advance but will be gone when that time is up. Don't bother trying to complain because corporate doesn't care either, it seems.

I have been coming to this gym sense it first opened about 5 years ago. Everything is amazing great equipment, hours and it’s always spotless clean, but I have had many encounters over the years as many others have had with Olga a personal trainer that runs some classes. She has been one of the most rude, inconsiderate, disrespectful, and insulting people I have ever come across. She has told me numerous times that “there is a class and I’m in the way” 30 minutes or so prior to the actual start time. She will crowd me with her signs and other gym equipment to try and push me away, and has purposely ran into me with intent to knock me over. She creates extremely dangerous environments with her class making people in the class run around others lifting free weight throughout the whole gym. Not only that but she has hit me with a barbell while I was resting in between my sets, she looked me in the eyes and turned around with the barbell hit me in the leg looked at me with a dirty look and walked away. I’ve never gone up to this woman and started any conversation with her before and I’m not sure what her personal issues are with me but had I ever truly been in the way things would be different if she would say something politely and ask me to move. Now that she has resulted in physical actions I believe she needs to be disciplined or removed. Safe to say and sorry to say that I’m looking elsewhere to take my money.

Second price hike 😢 as well as the gym bros at the front counter. Not making you feel too comfortable overall we are we changing our gym. They also make you jump through unnecessary hoops just to cancel your service wow

Communication is absolutely horrible. I went in on 03/05 to cancel my membership and they told me they couldn’t do it in store so I was handed an email. I emailed the person I was supposed to, so I could cancel before my move out of state. It’s 3/14 and I still haven’t heard back. I called on 3/12 to speak to a manager but one wasn’t in. I was told I would get a call first thing the next morning. Never got a call. Finally I called today 3/14 and spoke to a manager who was super monotone, didn’t care about my concerns- he just asked for a phone number and told me it was cancelled. He said he wasn’t sure why anybody didn’t reach out to me then said goodbye. I joined crunch because I can’t stand planet fitness and there was a location in Kansas that was phenomenal… in all honesty planet fitness is amazing compared to this location. Don’t waste your money

I joined Crunch December of last year and I love it! The people who work there are amazing, front desk to trainers. Andre always has the best energy as soon as you walk in and will help you if no trainers are around. Sami is the best trainer! I started working with him about 2 months ago, and I have had the best sessions. Not disappointed at all. His energy and how well he teaches you how to work out, and learning about how your diet should be according to your own goals honestly motivated me even more! Just awesome!

What can I say…. Started coming here 4 months ago and today I weighed in 102 lbs less! This gym is amazing because of the folks that work here. My PT Sammie always having a smile and pushing me to my fullest. The front staff like Tye, Nessa, Angelina, and Dawood, always greeting me by name and telling me they hope I have a good workout and saying bye to me. Compliments on my dedication keep me motivated and disciplined. Not sure I’ll ever need to find a new gym! Love you guy!

They allow people that dont have membership to walk in there, Myself and onother individual had our car stolen!,yes our cars, 2 cars in less than 5hours . then we ask to see their camaras, just to find out that they dont have camaras outside or inside! So anybody from the street can just walk in amd steel your stuff from the lockerroom

Amazing place to be if you want to find a gym that gives you everything you need and more. When I first walked in I was greeted my Vanessa and Sammy. They brought me in and treated me as if we've been friends for a long time. All of the workout equipment is great and easy to use. All the other people working out are kind and polite to each other. The employees are always there to help with whatever you need and are great people to talk too. Sammy helping me out with workouts and just checking up and seeing if I'm staying on track with my goal. Talking to Vanessa is always great, whether if it's about working out or anything else outside of it. I joined at the beginning of November and not planning on going anywhere else!

Worst gym experience ever! From the moment I walked in I got condescending looks and smart remarks from the staff. At one point the manager even insulted me as I walked in making fun of how large I am. While working out there one day, I saw 3 roaches, rat droppings, and even mold in the bathrooms. Not to mention the drugs being used in the bathrooms. If I could rate this lower than one star I would.

My brand new gym. Was working out at planet fitness before this and got tired of the atmosphere. This gym is very welcoming and has plenty of great equipment. Overall, a great place where people can mind their own business and get a good workout.

An absolutely amazing and spacious facility! workers are absolutely amazing shout out especially to Noel one day I have lost my wallet and she helped me found it unfortunately I was missing some cash out of it but she gave me a discount on a drink for it 🖤 I have been going to this gym for about 2 years now and I have never felt more comfortable and at home at a gym that I have here! Everyone is incredibly kind and they hype you up! If you are looking for an amazing gym please consider this one!

I like going here because it’s near my work and not too expensive. The bathrooms could be cleaner and there is never any sanitizing wipes. They are now using a communal towel and spray for everyone to use. Which is kinda gross. But whatever. Decided to come one Saturday morning at 8. It’s supposed to open at 7 and the doors were locked. Apparently the employee who works slept in. Talking to other regulars this wasn’t the first time this has happened. Management really needs to train their employees better.

i have been going here for close to a year. almost all staff are pretty friendly especially the woman with long blonde hair and the man with black framed glasses but i’m not sure if they still work here. i canceled my membership due to the distance from my house. however, recently, there is a new (manager?) sarah who seems to never give anyone the benefit of the doubt and is hostile. i had come here with my partner many times but the last time i did this new manager demanded his photo ID when we had never been asked that. he didn’t have it on him because we didn’t know about this policy. after being frustrated with us, this manager huffs and gives us a warning that we need to bring it in next time. if she could have been more understanding that we didn’t know this policy it would have been much nicer. most recently, i checked in and she called me over and told me my membership was canceled. i explained to her that i should still be valid until the 7th and she got frustrated with me again and looked it up. she let me go by but she seemed very hostile or at the very least passive aggressive. i’d much more appreciate management at the place i paid to be at treat me with the benefit of the doubt and not as someone trying to cheat the system at every point. she is new to her position, but if she had started earlier i would have canceled earlier. i understand her need to enforce rules but the way she does is completely unacceptable. additionally, while a lot of the equipment is usable, 3 treadmills and 3/8 stair master machines are out of order. are either broken or partially broken. attached are pictures of some equipment that desperately needs to be fixed. the women’s locker rooms (mostly toilet areas) are usually a little dirty. at one point there were menstrual products in the women’s, which i greatly appreciated but they were not restocked after a month. in general, this gym is alright but i’d recommend looking elsewhere before joining

Man comes in screaming the N word at the top of his lungs. He’s a regular. Was disgusted. Will not be visiting.

I requested over the phone to cancel my membership last year, and I was convinced to freeze my membership instead. An employee, who most likely just misunderstood the policy, assured me it would be valid until I chose to restart it. However, this was not true, and Crunch started charging me again without my consent after the freeze period (which, again, I was told would last until I unfroze my membership). I sent an email requesting to speak to someone about this, and was forced to file a dispute because my email was ignored. At this time, I also emailed with an additional cancellation request. I did receive a text in response to this, but the first issue was still ignored. This exchange happened in January and my account two months later still just says "Inactive" with no membership end date on it. Still giving three stars because I like the gym itself, it's a really nice environment and I feel comfortable working there. For the most part, the employees are very kind. I chose to cancel due to distance after moving and personal hardship, so having to be faced with such difficulty while cancelling a membership for a place I actually enjoyed really just sucks.

I have moved from the state of nm to az and I do not plan on going back to nm. But they will not cancel my membership unless I am there. I cannot go back nor will I go back due to job co strains but they will not cancel my Membership. Worst way to deal with anything ever!! I even tried to move my membership to az but they still would not let me. Balderdash

The whole time I was there they never changed the filters on their water stations. Bathrooms always smelled a little funky. The staff is rude and entitled, the management is clueless. No wonder they stayed open during the pandemic. They have no regard for the community that they operate in.

I couldn't be happier here. The manager is fantastic, really kind, and straightforward. Unlike the usual pushy salesy vibe from other gyms I've been to. Myself and three friends signed up. I powerlift and the equipment is great. They have powerbars I can use for the lifts and enough area to deadlift and squat. My only issue is the benches are very slippery and not ideal for lifts. There is also no jack to assist in loading deadlift bars. Other than that I really enjoy the gym.

This is the filthiest gym I’ve ever been to. Literally wads of hair everywhere. Half the people in the gym don’t clean their equipment and I’ve personally never witnessed staff cleaning either. Very young crowd.

Sometimes the are out of disinfectant wipes for the machines and now half the equipment I normally use is broken. Teen worker playing loud rap louder than my headphones. I like the gym, other than that

Been going here for about a year. The staff are considerate and helpful without being pushy. Price and accessibility are good, too. Very few equipment hogs outside peak hours.
