Spent two weeks training at JacksonWink and it was like Disneyland. I initially stopped by just to ask if I was allowed to peek inside. I was filled with anxiety and excitement to find out I can easily train there everyday of the week (for a price). I went to all the 6pm - 7pm classes. Every class was packed full of great techniques and valuable information. You'll stand side by side with some of the most talented MMA fighters in the world and you'll learn from legends of the sport (1st class was with Joey Villasenor and I couldn't even contemplate I was seeing this man in real life. I'd seen him in the cage as a fan so many times and now to have him 10 ft away teaching me MMA striking techniques was WILD!). I was in ABQ on business, but daily, I found myself thinking about nothing except getting off work so I could go train. Disclaimer: I felt like an outsider at the gym; which is natural. I wasn't exactly a regular. Additionally, I only train martial arts for protection and my own self improvement. I'm not preparing for my pro debut or anything like that. The gym operates at a speed equivalent to preparing MMA fighters for their next fight. You may feel like a guppie amongst a sea of sharks; you kind of are. LOL. It might not be the best place to start your martial arts journey if you've never trained a combat discipline, but if you show up, show respect, keep it playful and try to have fun, they'll take care of you. Cheers!

I'm sure this is a great place to learn how to fight. Someone here outta show two of these fighters proper etiquette! I have delivered food twice on two different occasions to two different fighters and neither one of them tipped.... Not even a $1 that's so disrespectful. If you dont have enough money to tip get your own damm food! Aren't you embarrassed!

I paid a trainer $300 up front, received one training session. The fighter went to a professional fight in IL, he never returned. Another fighter mentioned he moved to Colorado. Matter was never resolved, multiple attempts.

Moved here from houston back in November to take my training to the next level. The staff does a top notch job of ensuring cleanliness and keeping the gym and cafe up to standard all the time. I especially love how the gym is handling Covid, we all had to get tested to resume training and after fights in order to prevent the spread. When it comes to mma, the staff here is comprised of a wide range of fighters and coaches each with different areas of expertise that allow any style of fighter to walk through the doors and form a team around them to optimize their abilities. Would highly recommend.

Just went in to grab a t-shirt and was shown some serious hospitality. What a great facility! It's no wonder they have such a successful gym.

From the moment we entered the front door, we felt the presence of all the MMA greats who trained here at JW. We were warmly welcomed by management, coaches and all the athletes. To see Wink in the cage holding mitts for an up and coming UFC fighter as he has done so professionally for the past 20 something years was a view to behold. After a tour of the facility we immediately scheduled with Misha to get some of our Bare Knuckle and MMA fighters in to do their camps there. If you are a fighter, I highly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

If you are interested in learning mixed martial arts, this is your gym. Humble owners who have a lot of respect for their students. I hope they like their Jock Jitsu shorts!

JW is The Modern Day Professional MMA Academy. Coach Wink & Coach Jackson have an incredible Academy. I strongly recommend to anyone looking to build like a Champion to join Team JW. The gym is also open 24/7 for all members. They also offer online training with some of your favorite coaches !!!

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I remember walking down Jackson street on my way to the bank, and finding a sign that read "FREE KARATE" with a phone number printed right under a white silhouette of a man performing a flying sidekick. This peaked my interest initially, seeing as I was looking to attempt training in martial arts. A...
