I've
been
in
a
few
countries
and
a
few
different
cafes
around
the
world,
and
Rust
is
Gold
(RiG)
is
the
first
place
I've
seen
to
take
advantage
of
a
mechanic's
need
for
a
good
cup
of
Joe
in
the
morning.
Combining
the
best
of
both
worlds,
coffee
and
gearhead
culture,
Rust
is
Gold
scratches
that
itch
some
of
us
might
not
have
known
we
had.
The
day
I
pulled
up,
there
was
a
bike
meet
outside,
along
with
a
couple
of
classic
cars
and
a
book
signing
by
the
front
door.
As
I
walked
inside,
there
was
a
DJ
turntable
set
up
immediately
to
the
right
of
the
doorway
with
low-fi
beats
playing
and
the
place
was
packed.
I
took
a
look
around,
snapped
some
shots
of
the
place,
and
checked
out
the
merch
along
the
north
wall
of
the
store.
There
was
an
old
cigarette
machine
which
gave
me
a
laugh
as
I
looked
closer
at
it
and
realized
it
wasn't
loaded
with
cigarettes,
but
small
packets
of
RiG's
coffee
for
sale.
I
grabbed
some
stickers,
and
two
cans
of
coffee
to
go
to
take
to
work
that
week
and
made
for
the
counter.
I
don't
remember
what
I
had
that
day,
as
it
was
a
special,
but
I
remember
it
tasted
like
black
cherries.
Proceeds
were
going
to
the
local
ASPCA,
and
I
figured
if
it
was
the
special
why
not.
I
looked
at
the
mix
of
people
in
the
room
chatting
it
up,
and
waited
for
my
coffee
thinking
about
why
no
one
in
the
world
had
tried
this
before.
It
wasn't
long
before
I
got
my
order,
took
a
sip
and
headed
back
out
on
the
road.
If
you
like
what
you
are
reading,
stop
on
in,
and
maybe
bring
your
friends
and
your
bikes,
or
cars,
or
whatever
motorized
conveyances
you
have.
