I truly enjoyed the breakfast here, and something amazed me.... it was like really clean !! Take a look at the ceiling, the vents, everywhere just clean, no dust! This is not normal for a restaurant, very happy, makes me think in their kitchen. As for the food, 5 stars, I will be back no doubt

Best breakfast burrito ever! Awesome place! Clean. Great food. Awesome service! Our server, Isaiah was very professional. Took our order right away. Food came out soon after. We love all the servers here. Doreen, Laverne, Juanita. All excellent. Neta, the manager runs the place, keeping a close eye on food quality and service. She is an excellent manager. Top of her game! This coffee shop is a great place to grab a quick and quiet bite to eat. It has this cinnamon flavored coffee that I really enjoy every time I go there. The prices are very good considering the current Bidenomic crisis we are all experiencing today. The staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend visiting Kap's coffee shop if you're ever in the area.

Kap’s is a nice mom and pop shop here Albuquerque. I came here with my buddy for our tradition breakfast meet up. We both ordered the “2 eggs any style” with bacon, wheat toast and their famous cinnamon coffee. This is my go to every time come here. The server was very attentive and made sure our dinks never went empty. We may make this our new breakfast spot.

Would have given 5 stars but my over easy eggs were over hard. I like the atmosphere even though it is in a rough part of town they manage too keep going and the food is good like an old time diner.

This place is old fashion awesome, the food is great. The hospitality is awesome that's why I keep going back. You should go and try it. My favorite food their is the pork chop plate. They have a dynamic chef who will cook your food to your satisfaction. So tell your family and friends, you won't regret it. I am still eating there with my family and friends. Have a blessed day.

I've been to Kap's dozens of times over the years. I've always been impressed by the service and food. One of my favorite breakfast orders is the biscuits and gravy with eggs and sirloin shavings. This is a feast worthy of anyone who loves comfort food. The neighborhood may be dicey, but the food is paradise.

The absolute BEST homemade breakfast you'll find in Albuquerque! All the servers are warm and friendly. We literally won't even eat breakfast anywhere else, unless they are closed. They close early folks! So get there before 10. Totally worth it.. amazing food!

Took my son here for his birthday breakfast. This place came highly recommended from coworkers. I had the number three with egg and it was very tasty! Service was great, with no wait!

Best chips and salsa. Good green Chile stew and white gravy. The service was great also.

The food was good but the table service was out of this world! It is not often you have people serve so wonderfully. Big tip there. Very clean and well maintained. Parking is pretty scarce. I love visiting Kap's when I am in town!

This was the last stop on our Route 66 run last weekend before heading to the airport. Open since 1968, but it didn't make any of our Route 66 guidebooks. We were lucky to find it. The breakfast food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The woman who took care of us had been there for 13 years, and she was wonderful. Friendly, competent, and she never let the coffee cups get empty!

Tried this place for the first time. Very nice, accommodating waitress. Had the huevos Rancheros. Topped with Christmas. Both were tasty. Should have asked for a flour tortilla underneath. Their flour tortillas were homemade and tasty! Complimentary chips were delicious!

Despite a lot of shady looking characters walking past the place, some acting a bit aggressively (waving a club with a nail in it, for instance), this didn't dissuade customers, and we had to wait longer than usual to be served due to the crowd. Our server was nearly overwhelmed, a bit frazzled. The food was pretty good, but not great. We liked the atmosphere inside, but out on the streets, it was disconcerting how many homeless and junkies were all over the place (which I learned later is typical of Central Avenue). It appears that the locals are just used to it.

Food is tasty & still reasonably priced. Staff is friendly and prompt. Lucy & Doreen are extremely nice people. It's hard to find great food & great people that enjoy their job but at Kap's restaurant you'll find it all in one location 😀. I truly recommend you visit if you haven't already done so.

Ate here for the first time with my Dad. Food was amazing-i ate until i felt stuffed to the gills! Staff was super nice! It was a little hot, inside, but other than that-Wonderful job, Kaps! We will be back again!

I’ve been coming to Kap’s for years. It’s one of my favorite diners in ABQ. Whenever I come in, I always get the streak shavings biscuits smothered in gravy which comes with two eggs. The the food is excellent, the service is great, and the staff is always friendly. I’m glad this place survived the pandemic!

No changing table for baby in bathroom. I had to put my baby on the floor on a changing pad which was not ideal. It took about 15 min for anyone to take our order or acknowledge us after we sat down. Then we had to track down waitress for our bill. We were not offered coffee refills until we were leaving. The one positive for me was the staff was friendly. Our waitress was very busy so I don't mind the wait but acknowledgement and communication goes a long way when waiting. So many other breakfast places in area I probably would not come back here.

My son and I just left here. We were first timers and so glad we stopped by. Everything was great!! Food was great. Service was great. The restaurant was super clean.

Kap's diner is such a great place! Good food, good red chile, and wonderful and caring servers. I hadn't been to this diner in over two years because of the pandemic but the server still remembered me! An overall great place to eat if you're looking for a classic diner experience.

Everything is just perfect. Food is delicious. Wonderful waitresses. Old time History. Beautiful pictures framed and hung in certain places on the walls. Coffee is the best tasting ever!!! You must come over.
