So happy zinc is back open- and better than ever. The cellar remodel is cozy with swanky music, amazing craft cocktails, and delicious reasonably priced food. A nob hill staple is back.

Only stopped in for a quick drink, but the elegant decor and friendly service was more than memorable. Solid beer selection too. Plus if I am remembering correctly, the Breaking Bad cast used to chill here after shooting, how charming is that? Either way, I would definitely come back.

We went to dinner at ZINC on Central Avenue, on our way to the PopeJoy Theater’s KING AND I production, and the food and service was absolutely OUTSTANDING – as usual! We’ve been to Zinc many times before, and this was another great experience. First, we have to THANK our super-fantastic server Jesse for his constant attentiveness and excellent suggestions for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. We started with a special new appetizer – Prosciutto-Wrapped Figs; it was amazingly tasty and delicious! My wife ordered the Pan-Seared Aegean Sea Branzino, and I ordered the Braised Beef Ravioli Bourguignon. The Branzino was perfectly cooked and delicious, and the artichokes and carrots were perfectly tender, and the 2 crab spanakopita’s were exquisite. My wife said the lemon coulis base was interesting, but too bitter for her tastes – she avoided it. My dinner was also fantastic, with 5 huge beef-packed ravioli covered in a rich red wine sauce, along with tender baby carrots, pearl onions, mushrooms, English peas, over a celery root-potato puree. Absolutely mouth-watering! YUM! Then for dessert, I ordered the Chocolate Truffle with 3 samples of chocolate, and my wife ordered the Chocolate Chip-Walnut Gateau. We easily devoured both fantastic desserts! They have a fantastic wine, beer and drink menu – ideal for Happy Hours too! The ambience at ZINC is beautiful upscale, service is fantastic, and prices very reasonable for the great quality of food. Thanks again for great service, Mr. Jesse! Very highly recommended. (BTW, the KING & I was Great!)

Came for a girls night out and the location was very dark and atmospheric. The server was patient and gave recommendations which was nice. Drinks were unique and boozy. Everything on the menu is pretty pricey but I would come again for the atmosphere :) also! Food portions are huge.

I am so happy Zinc is back open! It's truly one of the best. Had a great date night after a long trip. Our server went above and beyond for us. I can not wait for more summer nights spent there.

They only have 1 gluten free entree at the moment, but it's a delicious blue corn relleño filled with pumpkin if I remember correctly. And they have several gf options for appetizers, but no desserts yet. The choice is limited, but I would still go back because it was extremely good. The atmosphere and service was amazing.

We ate at the Cellar bar and it was amazing. The appetizer we ordered (tempura vegetables) exceeded our expectations in size and flavor. The steak frites were really good, and the service was great, as well as the cocktails and wine. Will definitely be returning!

Went to the basement bar again for a drink and a bite. It's usually pretty busy, but not so much that you can't find a seat. It can get fairly noisy at times. Otherwise, we love the atmosphere, just the right amount of light to make it cozy. Out waiter was really good, even with a special order with the food.

The ambiance and decor were lovely. The lighting levels are just right for a cozy date night. My wife and I had the Steak frites. The steak was cooked to perfection and the fries were the best I've ever had. Well done Zinc crew!

Zinc is OPEN! An Albuquerque cuisine treasure has reopened and has not lost any of its touch. Alegria is a wonderful server that is on top of everything. If you have been here before, book dinner now. If you have not been here before then delight your palate and indulge in an amazing Albuquerque dining experience. You can simply not go wrong.

Such a cozy dark place to share a meal. We went to the main dining area on Thursday night. Very calm, and we loved the wood and metal decor. Had two old fashioned after noticing the bar had every type of garnish for any drink you can think of. Best appetizer, a savory duck egg roll, but everything sounded good. Main courses pictured here- Seafood ravioli creamy and cooked just right. Steak and fries are simple, but the execution was great. A lovely fine dining experience with respectful service and great ambiance.

Checked out the cellar today, Meh. First the good, food was awesome and portion size was great. Annnnd that's where it ends lol. Both cocktails I tried were terrible. Just gross. Hell the one wasn't even served properly. Menu listed it as a rocks drink, which made sense for the specs. Bartender served it up with ice cubes in the drink. Not to mention how ridiculously long drinks took to arrive , place wasn't even busy. Total amateur hour stuff on display. Service was terrible . Comically bad. Like my one drink was so bad I couldn't get through more than a sip. When I saw it on the receipt I asked about it and this woman literally said "oh, I didn't realize you didnt like it?" What?! Yea, I loved the drink so much I pushed it to the far end of the table and left it full. Also a weird nitpick, but the vibe this place is going for the music couldn't have been more jarring lol. Is pearl jam a great band? Hell yea. Does it make sense to play in a dimly lit lounge type place? Absolutely not lol Ill give this place another shot because the food was really good, but a terrible first impression.

We think our order was not placed. We sat for twenty five minutes without a drink. Our party of four ordered the same drink and one person definitely got short changes. Frustrating as there was hardly anyone there. Bad service, short cocktails and the happy hour inquiry was met with a snobby waiter. Not interested in returning. For what we spent on one round of drinks—— it was a very frustrating experience.

Food is absolutely great (ate in the Cellar), the atmosphere is also very nice although the music didn't really line up (classic rock). The issue we did have was the service. The server was very slow, as well as the bar tenders. It was not busy when we got there and it still took forever to get our drinks. The drinks in my opinion were terrible, didn't reflect the description. When I say the bartender was slow, I mean they were practically crawling, plus they were wearing their hair in front of their face. As someone who worked in the industry you should never have your hair like that for health reasons. Last thing I want in my drink is someone else's hair. We will come back to try the main dining area since the food was absolutely fantastic. So, definitely still go for the food and maybe stick to wine and beer.

Came to Zinc for my friend’s birthday. Keith accommodated our large party and reserved a table for us in the cellar bar! It was a amazing from beginning to end. Our server was super cool and our drinks were excellent. I’m so glad you re opened! Absolutely one of the best places to go out and hang out in Abq. 100% we will all be coming back.

The service was amazing and the drinks were refreshing, and while the food used to be quite spectacular, unfortunately it has become relatively unimaginative. The specialty salad with goat cheese and strawberries was pretty good. However, despite all the frilly words they use to describe the main dishes, the flavor variety was bland and despite copious amounts of cheese, nothing more than an only slightly better version of what I could get at Applebee's. I wish I could give more than three stars but anything higher is reserved for what this once wonderful restaurant used to be....

Zinc is open again and it does not disappoint. The food was delicious and affordable, the cocktails were unique and very satisfying. The dark quiet atmosphere makes a great place to enjoy a drink and some food on a date or with friends. Locals and visitors should check this place out!

SO happy they are back open (even if I'm a little late to the party!!) The drinks were as delicious as I remember. Nice menu, but really hope they will add back their bowl of french fries---they were my FAVORITE!!! We will be returning for sure!

Presentation & preparation of high-quality food was tip-top. Decent wine selections to accompany appetizers & entrees, with even more choices for the after- dinner, seasonal dessert menu. Local beer on tap. Special was a perfectly roasted Icelandic cod served with asparagus and without enough potatoes ($25). Seared Ahi app was elegant ($14/full-size). Portion sizes were uneven; smallish for their price. Lighting was a tad too dim for reading the menu, but relaxing for enjoying the space; window banquette seating very comfortable. Was a Sat.night, and Cellar had music. Upstairs was better for conversations. Good choice for adulting.

Overall the food is good. The wine list and cocktails are great. The variety of appetizers on the menu is solid. It’s a great choice for dinner.

It was ok. This was touted as a hot local spot for great eats and a multi-floor experience with the restaurant on top and the Cellar cocktail bar in the basement. The idea is familiar but in this case just ok. I sat and ate at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Where the restaurant let me down was the food. Ordered duck confirm eggrolls and a Caesar salad. You've got to execute the simple stuff: the eggrolls are obviously pre-made and then heated through when ordered which is fine. The garnish was terrible, the sweet and sour sauce was decent, and the peanut curry was abhorrent. The Caesar dressing was poorly made, and was more like mayonnaise than a Caesar dressing (no citrus, no anchovy). Too bad, at least the whiskey was good, and good on the bartender giving me a sample of a good small batch bourbon.
