Update: Two weeks after contacting their guest relations and going back and forth almost a dozen emails, I now wish I could give negative stars for the very first time: If you have a negative experience, the company expects a customer to jump through hoops and sign up for their rewards program, complete with email spam, to receive one free replacement meal. If you don't sign up, they have nothing to say nor to offer. It seems "guest relations" cares very little about guest relations. I expect their customer retention to mirror such a poor policy. I didn't ask for any freebies. I only hoped the restaurant would address my terrible experience. Don't go to this restaurant and do not invest in this company either. Original review: Awful Way, way, way overpriced My food was worth about $4 anywhere else Not very clean, especially the floors Bathroom incredibly smelly Food cooked but cold and gross Worst rice noodles ever: boiled, gummy, slime

Service was good. I paid for a large bowl with three parts starch.. chose two noodle one rice to go. Got no noodles. Didn’t check till I was home. No one answers the phone. Sucks after a 14 hour work day. I just wanted my order !!!!

You are responsible for whatever you get to eat! Be careful, be creative, and be aggressive to put as much as you can in the bowl. Don’t forget to ask and add eggs! By default they won’t give u. I like the choice for half vegetables half rice/noodles for medium and large bowls. Will go again and try other ideas.

If you are looking fur something unique, a change from normal dining. Genghis Grill is the place to go. You can still order from the menu but if your daring... you can create your own bowl. Only suggestion I can think of, is to ask about some of the sauces that you add, as I made mine a little too salty but adding the rice helped with that Not to mention the extra added kick of hotness lol.

Very slow service - waited a while to be seated, although we were the only ones waiting. Multiple waitresses passed directly in front of us without acknowledging our existence. Once seated our waitress was good, but it took a looong time to receive food compared to other locations of this restaurant. Women's bathroom was disgusting: smelled of urine, out of soap, very dirty floor. I like Genghis Grill, but felt let down at this location.

If you have been to other Mongolian BBQ stir fry places this is not the same type of food. It's good to have that understanding. The food doesn't end up with the stir fried flavor because the sauces are too thick. Other Mongolian places tend to have very liquid sauces which allows the noodles to get the fried yummy exterior. For example, most places will tell you to add at least a couple of ladles of oil to fry the noodles. Additionally they usually use thin sliced meat that picks up a bit more flavor. The food picks up the flavor directly with minimal liquid or sauces at the end of the process. This type relies on the sauce to carry the flavor. So really I just don't like this Mongolian Stir Fry that well because it is so different from traditional Mongolian BBQ. If you do like the thicker saucy kind, ignore my food review. Other thoughts. The sign saying you will be charged $5 for messing up the order of your food is ridiculous. It definitely seems like the priority is to just herd people through the food line as fast as possible, so going back is unacceptable because it would slow them down. Due to this being quite different from other Mongolian BBQ places, staff should ask every customer if they have been there before. To be fair, I understand that this is a franchise so they don't have full control of how things are done. But we didn't have good service because the staff didn't establish we were new customers quickly enough and other staff members weren't that friendly. Bathrooms are pretty bad. For the price range of this restaurant bad bathrooms are unacceptable. Example is that the faucet will spray you if you turn it on all the way. And they weren't super clean.

Really good experience. The service was outstanding. Our server was wonderful and quick. The food looked fresh and the area looked clean. The food was cooked quickly and tasted really good. Bathrooms were clean. There were tv in this location that played sports.

I wasn't impressed, and I'm sure you won't be either. My food was cold, wasn't good or tasty, and the meat wasn't cleaned. Lots of fat and stringy nervy things on the beef, and didn't have a taste. You'll need a magnifying glass to see the shrimp, and the staff were bored and not happy. The atmosphere was kind of weird, like they know something we don't. First and last time trying these places. Poor service and basically not worth it

Been here once before pandemic. It was okay. Kinda confusing the first time you go. They don’t really explain what to do. At least the chef told me to fill the bowl all the way to the top so I don’t waste money. What really put me off was the sign that said if you go through the food line the wrong direction, they’ll charge you a $5 fee or whatever. Lol Is it really necessary to punish people who don’t know the rules? With all the horrible reviews lately, I don’t think I’ll go back.

Wow they double the price of a bowl, you only get what fits in a bowl everything else is thrown away😮. Not even a full bowl. They now charge for an egg in large bowl!! It no longer comes with an egg! So why raise price, make bowl smaller, charge for stuff that came with it now. Wait staff new Waitress definitely 10 out of 10 stars! Her first day. Liking this place less and less. Is food quality is even gone down! They only serve the part of asparagus that should be thrown away!! they must take the rest home with them.

Walked in. Asked if we had been before here before and we have not. Asked to get sat a high table and she said no and walked away from where she put us to sit. I figured we go to get our food. So I guess your supposed to wait for a waiter. Everyone didn't know what to say when we stood there dumb looking not knowing what to do. A lady that spoke broken English was very apologetic and helped us. The service is no good food was really good other than the lady with broken English. Staff seemed like they have no management to give them direction and guidance. I think they noticed how awful there first service was wuth us in the beginning and tried towards the end. The tables are to high or the chairs are to low but it was not comfortable sitting in the booth with the tables

Was looking for a place with healthier options to the mass-produced fast Chinese food. Genghis Grill provides that where you can build your own bowl, and control exactly what gets added in. As this was my first visit, I now know how to tweak the add-ins to make it taste the way I like it.

Maggie is the absolute best server!!! My wife and I come here all the time and have a great experience each and every time. Best service from Maggie with a smile on her face. Humble, caring, sweet and all the good things that come with her. Maggie definitely gets requested by us any time we're here. 10/10 recommend 😊

I absolutely love this location. I’ve ordered food online, over the phone, and I've sat down to eat and each time my order was completely correct hot and delicious. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Im very picky but they always make something ill eat. Even the small bowls are filling. I always have leftovers too. This is the best location in abq for genghis

Everything about it was amazing. Service was great. I enjoy that they now have pre-made bowls. The appetizers are really good. I rate it a 5/5

This was my first visit. I didn't know there was a build your own bowl bar. I plan on trying it out the next time I go! The tofu was great, the whole dish was full of flavor!

Very good. Food was delicious. Only get what you like. Better than Burger King, you can have it your way, more like Mc Donald's, you deserve a break today, so head on over to Genghis Grill and have the best of both worlds.

The food was amazing and our waitress, Maggie was so sweet and very helpful. The entire service! Never had a waitress as nice as her. Definitely coming back again soon!

Great service from start to finish. Ms. Maggie was an excellent waitress! The food was great too and so were the nonalcoholic beverages they had available.

My daughter and I visited the afternoon of 11/18 at about 4 pm. We were seated and given menus. We decided quickly what we wanted. It took about 20 minutes for someone to take our order. I ordered a bacon ranch chicken quesadilla as an appetizer. The waitress came back and said they didn't have the vegetables to make the wrap so I ordered the chicken teriyaki wrap. She came back and said they use the same vegetables for that wrap and were out. So I ordered the potstickers. The potstickers were good. My daughter ordered a create a bowl. I ordered the Lil Teriyaki bowl. The food was okay. When we were finished, it took the waitress a while to come back and give us our check. We visited the restroom afterward. It was a mess. Water on the floor and just dirty. The diaper changing table was down and had crumbs and small bits of poop on it. Genghis Grill is not my favorite restaurant anyway, but based on that visit, I would NOT visit that location again. Poor service, out of staple food, unclean bathroom.

One of my favorite places to eat in Albuquerque. So many options, love the variety of sauces. Fun to customize your own stir fry and get it exactly the way you like.

Food was delish! Fresh! Tasty! Waitress was cute and friendly. Short on staff but she made it work. Atmosphere a bit plain... All in all the food makes it worth it

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I normally visit the locations in Georgia, but I wanted to let my friend experience the place. I was quite upset last time I tried this location because they said they were closed over 1 hr before their posted times. We were traveling from Atlanta to Las Vegas and were turned away "inside the door". This visit they didn't have white sauce but other wise this was a successful introduction to my friend.

Ridiculously expensive and the ingredient selection was limited. For one person with no appetizer, no dessert, and only water for a drink it costs $30. Not a good value at all. Only got an extra star because the service was good.

We walked in and got seated right away, party of 3. Not a busy time of day. Waited for 15 minutes with no service. In that time, 2 other parties got seated. One not in our section, who immediately got drinks after they got seated. The other party was seated directly behind us, in our section, waited a couple of minutes and then a server went straight to get them their drink order, acting as though we didn’t even exist! Definitely a bad experience, and we felt singled out for no reason! A party of 3! Ridiculous, do not recommend if this is how you’re going to treat customers.

Nice waitress made it pleasant. Everything else was mediocre. Kind of expensive. Fairly good crowd for dinner time if you are having beer or wine.

The waitress we had was really nice!! The food was SOOO AMAZINGLY delicious!! We can't wait to go back.. This is our new favorite place to eat!! Iur waitress was off shift and said another guy starting his shift would help us out and he never came once but our waitress, even off the clock, sill took care of us!!

The Establishment was clean and they are still doing some socially distanced dining which was nice. The staff is friendly and polite. The food however is just okay, the tofu is very dry and spongy and a lot of the steak was fatty and to grisly to eat. It was worth a try however I don't think I would return or necessarily recommend

This place is a tasty treat! HOWEVER... someone should be available to TELL YOU how the whole thing works. We got ripped off because we didn't know to FILL YOUR BOWL to the EDGE of OVERFLOWING before you give it to the chef who is cooking your choices. Our waitress was super casual and said, yeah, just get the veggies and meat and sauce that you want and give it to the chef! Once me and my guest walked away and saw OTHER PEOPLE'S BOWLS we knew we had made a HUGE mistake. We enjoyed our $40 worth of noodle soup but again, felt TOTALLY ripped off by NOT having been given the REAL low down on how the line works. FILL YOUR CHOICES BOWL until ONE MORE ITEM will make the bowl topple and you'll feel GOOD about the money you spent and again, it IS delicious!!

Staff and atmosphere was great. The food was excellent! The only issue we had was the homeless guy that came in and went table to table trying to get money. As it was lunchtime there were only a few tables occupied. He was in and out before staff came back from clearing a table and taking the dirty dishes. I don't fault the establishment for the homeless guy.

Was good, shrimp in the bowl were tiny, but there was a LOT. Was $44 for two bowls, two drinks, and a side dish of fried rice. Bowls used to be $14.99 now regular rings up $18 or so. They gave me a LOT in my pickup order though! I only ate half and had the other half the next day. Careful with the jalapenos, I eat spicy food every day and sometimes their jalapenos are WAYY hotter than you would expect. Only four stars because the value proposition isn't there anymore, they are giving out 16 oz coffee cups for their drinks. $2.39 for 16 oz just seems a little stingy considering it's mostly ice. I used to go to this place every single time a Marvel Movie Premiere happened because the value was there. Might be every other time now with the new prices STILL very good. Still one of my top pics.

Went for my birthday with my whole family and had a great time. The food is fresh and it fun to see what everyone puts in their bowls and what sauces they use. It's a way to get what YOU want and your company can get what THEY want. Perfect! They helped everyone sing happy birthday with gong it was nice.
