This
is
a
cute
little
place
with
a
lot
of
charm
in
a
strip
mall
off
Osuna
in
the
NE
Heights.
We
both
got
the
“chicken”
larb
to
go.
It
was
my
first
experience
with
larb,
and
I
had
looked
online
at
how
the
dish
is
usually
prepared.
Traditionally,
and
as
other
Thai
restaurants
in
Albuquerque,
larb
is
usually
a
ground
meat
mixture.
Thai
Vegan’s
larb
had
cuts
of
soy
“meat”,
then
large
chunks
of
slightly
steamed
or
raw
veggies
with
a
bit
of
lettuce.
The
description
is
“S12
-
Larb
Chicken
Salad.
$14.95.
Selected
soy
meat
tossed
in
lime
juice,
chili,
red
onion,
carrot,
cilantro,
and
parched
rice
on
a
bed
of
salad.”
I
enjoyed
the
flavors
of
the
lime
juice
and
chili
with
the
fresh
vegetables.
Our
larb
did
not
come
with
the
parched
rice,
and
there
were
only
a
very
few
small
pieces
of
lettuce.
The
amount
of
onion
was
very
high.
I’m
still
interested
in
trying
a
traditional
larb
at
another
Thai
restaurant,
but
wouldn’t
get
this
selection
again
from
Thai
Vegan.
The
restaurant
was
charming
and
the
service
friendly.
They
also
have
a
consistently
high
rating,
so
I’d
try
Thai
Vegan
again
and
select
another
dish.
