So first, I would like to say that it pains me to write this review. I love Albuquerque and all of our wonderful businesses that we have here. Last night we decided to go out and have pizza and enjoy downtown. Yes, service was slow management was nice. They forgot an item in our order which was all OK! we decided that we were just gonna chalk it up to everybody being tired a a hot after a busy day. We ate and left, 45 minutes later I felt the rumbling in my stomach that everybody who has ever been exposed food poisoning knows all too well. 🤦‍♀️I’m not too sure if it was the twice heated pizza that they serve their customers or if it was the balsamic vinegar dressing or the ranch from the hot wings or the wings but something made me sick. I already have health issues and I did not need a heavy dose of diarrhea to go along with my evening. I tossed and turned all night long with stomach cramps and diarrhea and here I come to the reviews and read that they heat up their pizza and reserve it instead of making fresh pizza for each customer 🤢I am in shock. I also paid $115 on my bill which I plan to dispute the charges with my bank ,and I will never be going back to this establishment ever again!!!

We went there at about 9 at night on a Tuesday. One of the few places open in the area at that time. We were on a x country road trip. We had a 4 item 18" pizza. It was brought out reasonably fast and was real tasty. Good crust not burnt. A pitcher of beer and a friendly waitress made it a good visit.

Food was great. But service was horrible and the place is dirty and dingy. The staff seem like it’s a nuisance to take an order and do their job. Don’t think I’ll come again but if you do the pizza is good though. It is a bit pricy though for some reason.

Great spot downtown for a slice and beers. Open feeling atmosphere inside and large patio outside. I've seen it packed before but I went on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet. Kind of a college vibe inside. Real nice waitress and delicious pizza. A little thick for a place with NY in the name but I had no serious issues. Very tasty!

Great pizza and amazing atmosphere. The Salad we got wasn’t the best but that’s just our taste I’m sure other love it. Everything was great though and service was quick. Our waiter was great and had amazing attitude.

Where do I start. I placed an online order around 925 for pick up email stated food would be ready by 955. Walk in at 10 not ready. I get Friday night down town busy no big deal take a seat outside walk back in 1015 the front told me few more minutes there wrapping it up. Go back take a seat outside 1030 rolls by all there front lights go out I try to go back in and the door is locked. Waitress ignores me, my wife and another person waiting for there food so we had to call to allow us back in the store at this point its 1045 just to find out they GAVE my pizza to someone ELSE. I finally got all of our food around 11 pm an hour and half later. I'm sorry I used to be in food industry and it is tough but the manager and the rest of the staff did very little to try to rectify the situation. 2 free cokes and a desert is hardly the correct response to that. I wouldn't say that the staff was rude but I would say that they we're NOT apologetic to the situation nor help full. To bad, I work down here at the city I will definitely not be recommending this place to my colleagues or friends. Food was alright but for the headache my wife and I went through not even close to worth it.

We love the pizza here. It was good. The service was not that good. Hope next time it will be better.

The pizza was good but not great. I wish the base (crust) was firmer. It's very soggy pizza. But the taste was there and the toppings were tasty. We went with a spicy sauce and spicy toppings. All in all it was good. We were there near closing but the servers were nice and never rushed us. I'd come back and see if I could ask for the crust to be crisper.

Pizza is excellent NY style, daily deal is a steal. Central Avenue location is well worn, and deservedly so! A little feel of the city in Albuquerque. Come for the Sunday cruise and bring the kids for a front row to some amazing rides. Disclosure : I'm not a car person but color me impressed. I am a pizza person and JCs pizza and Frankie Boys Fried Ravioli, stand on their own.

Lovely place. Come and enjoy. You won't get disappointed. Service and food, both are good. I have to change my reviews about this place. Only once was good. Second and third time, horrible. Will never come here again. Waited for 20 minutes on table. None came to take my order.

I decided to go back Thursday evening about 9pm. Sat in the patio with my friend and our puppy. Gentleman that took our order. Was just as friendly as the other employee. Food was great service was great, restaurant was clean. Overall just a fabulous experience. Keep up the good work. By the way I'm an ex mgr.from Pizza Hut. Lol

we are a fellow neighbor, in the downtown community. and wanted to support small, on our lunch this afternoon. as first timers, we were very disappointed. after walking over to their establishment, the staff was very unwelcoming. they seemed overwhelmed, and extremely irritated, although the business seemed quite slow. putting others emotions aside, we snagged our foods, and off we went. upon arriving back to our establishment, we discovered they had forgotten our salad. being as we now had clients, and our lunch time was now wasted, we had to wait forty five minutes before we could leave for a secondary time, to pick up what we ordered initially. once more, staff was very unwelcoming, (mind you, these were new faces) until a gal appeared from waiting tables, and greeted us. she walked us over to a different counter, and asked us more information with regards to said order. she then turned around, and spoke with the “chef”, in the back. she stated something along the lines of, “can i get another caprese salad. something went wrong with this order.” and the “chef”, stated he knew exactly which order she was referring too. whatever, five minutes later we snag our order yet again, upon arriving back to our place of work, we were a little irritable, but happy to have our missing items. HAHA, very short lived, the balsamic vinegar was milky, as opposed to oily, and looked like straight diarrhea. nonetheless, the salad was weak, and had a massive size HAIR in it. enough is enough, we are not ones to complain, but customer service here, was disgusting. they showed no empathy, and could care less. so much for supporting small, we will not be returning.

Dog friendly place!! They even brought out a dog bowl with water for my Athena. The pizza was delicious and gluten free!! Went with some Canadian bacon and pineapple! Can't wait to go back!

Real authentic NY style pie in the Southwest. Our waitress even seemed to have a New York Accent 😁. The homemade ranch dip was fabulous and I don't normally use ranch dip when I eat pizza. Thick Sicilian style (square pan cut) is also available. You can also order by the slice.

I was amazed by the size of their wings! I was going to do a salad and wings but since they were out of chicken pesto and it was pi day I did the Tuscan pizza and wings. My gut said order 6 wings but the spunkiest little server (<5' gal with the energy of a giant) convinced me to order 12! Oh boy was that too much! But I enjoyed every bite! I'll be back again to try that salad!

We hit the spot after a show downtown and were not disappointed. Apparently, my expectations were previously not very high, because I was ecstatic by both the pizza and calzones that we got. They make legit food at JC's and it's worth making your way downtown for it! The kids loved their spaghetti & meatballs and pizza too.

The pepperoni pizza is AMAZING!!! We originate from Northern California and this is our Pizza My Heart in NM!! The staff is great, they remember us each time we are in, are super kind to our kiddos and really make our pizza night out fun. It takes us about 40 minutes to get here, worth the drive… They also have great happy hour deals and pizza by the slice deals…

Tonight I walked to the nearest pizza joint from my hotel after a long day of travel. When I walked in, a man was at his limits on his pizza wait time, badgering the staff and throwing an adult temper tantrum I’ve only seen on TV. The woman at the front of house was so patient. I am just so encouraged by her response, as I was about to chuck ranch in his face. Thanks for reminding me humanity is pretty good sometimes. Also my pepperoni pizza was fantastic. Thanks team. (Important to note my to-go pizza was ready in 15 minutes. He couldn’t have been waiting for much longer)

Good pizza! Our poor server, Berto, was also greeting and seating people. He looked to be the only guy at around 3:30. Our pizza and appetizer came out fresh and hot. We got a 14" to split between 2 people and still had 3 leftover slices. Beer/tap selection was awesome! Would definitely come here again!

The best tasting pizza around. I had the Sicilian style pepperoni with green chili. Well done and very tasty. 👍👍’s up!

We didn't get to try the food because their only server was overworked. The restaurant was getting busy and a single server was greeting, sitting and serving every customer. We sat down and watched 3 other tables sit and served out of order that we got there. I don't blame him for being misplaced as he was doing a great job considering his work load and had a great personality while doing it. We did leave after waiting awhile

I realize they’re understaffed. But…didn’t include our ranch for the pizza or the dressing for the salad. Also, the salad was frozen. Called and they didn’t believe me. Told me, sassily, “that’s a new one” …I was not looking for a refund, just wanting to let them know that their salads are frozen and maybe don’t send those out? Anyways, sorry JC’s. No more business from this downtown family.

The guy at the register not so friendly. No smile. He seemed more friendly to my coworker. Just a what do you want? I replied wings. How many he asked? 6 or 12? I said are they any good? He says yeah! I replied 12. He says what flavor? I replied naked nothing on em. He states there pre made. I said well change it to 6 barbecued flavor. He asked What dipping sauce? I replied blue cheese. I asked for a beer. He asked what flavor. I replied Modelo in a bottle. I asked for pasta with white sauce add shrimp. He stated that would take a while because it takes a minute to cook the shrimp. I said perfect make the pasta to go. He asked do you want anything else? I replied Water with lemon please. He asked anything else? I replied I’ll take the beer and water now. We are going on the patio. My beer came in a glass not in a bottle not very cold. The ice cold water helped. I was charged 35.00 for this. I was overcharged for the wings. He charged me for the 12 pc wings anyway. I was a little upset at the total at first. So I left a smaller than normal tip for the errors and attitude. But when I tried the wings I ate them all they were surprisingly good. We were outside on the patio because it was nice out. Oh and the inside was closed anyway. I’m not a fan of the pigeons but they were not too annoying. We had a nice view of the motorcycles and low riders passing by. I got pictures but they were blurry. I have yet to try my pasta. I hope it’s good. I would recommend this place for the atmosphere.

NYPD is my favorite downtown pizza joint! 2 slices and a soda for 7 bucks? Forget about it, can't beat that anywhere else. Thin crust, perfect amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. When I'm in the area it's my number 1 stop.
