Frank's famous chicken is probably some of the crispiest wings I've ever had. They paired perfectly with the delicious waffles. This restaurant is great for a quick lunch and unexpectedly green patio u definitely will be back. Great food and great service. Hot sauce on the waffles mixed in with the syrup is a great way to spice them up.

Going to be honest. Our wait time was said to be 25 min and ended up being 40 min. Once we placed our order we had noticed people that had came in before us still hadn't received their orders. Once we ordered, our food took about 30 min to come out. May I point out this is due to a staffing shortage, the staff was very friendly and did their best with how busy it was. Besides the wait the food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! It definitely made up for the wait time and I was impressed that even under the pressure of a rush they still take the time to serve quality food! Will definitely be visiting again.

We have heard of this Frankโ€™s Famous Chicken & Waffle restaurant and we had it down on our list as soon as we planned for the road trip from San Jose, California to Phoenix, Arizona and we decided to stop by Albuquerque, New Mexico before continuing with our trip to Denver, Colorado. All I can say is that itโ€™s worth the trip to come to this restaurant. The chicken and waffles are delicious. The server and the owner are friendly. In fact, the owner came out to greet and chat with us as she moved to Albuquerque from the Bay Area. We were the first customers waking into the restaurant on that day. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone to come and try their fried chicken and waffles. We will definitely come back when we have a chance.

Ordered the 8 tenders famous plate and the Junior plate which is 3 wings+a waffle :) the wings were crispy and delicious, and the tenders were juicy and thick. The waffles are thin and the perfect texture to accompany the chicken. I love the cinnamon butter as well, and although the chicken wasnโ€™t as seasoned as I like on its own, the Louisiana hot sauce on the table was awesome :) staff was amazingly kind as well! Highly recommend coming here.

Great food! Got the combination platter with the wet wings. The wings with the gravy on them were quite tasty and the collards were good. Also got a 2 piece chicken and waffle, I'm not a person that cares for waffles, but there's is nice and thin and served with cinnamon butter, was really good.

Visiting Albuquerque again this week and didn't know about this place. This will be my 1st stop to eat. Incredible fried chicken!!! The waffles and fried okra were spot on. Decor and music fit this eatery. Definitely stop here if you want excellent food.

This place is a breath of fresh air with the quality of food and service going down everywhere. I got the 4pc Tender with 2 waffles and my husband the 6pc wing and waffle. My picky toddler even loved the food here. The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly, same with the wings. I will say the wings definitely have more flavor so I will be ordering those next time. They didnโ€™t need any hot sauce, the wings were absolutely delicious on their own. The sweet tea was some of the best Iโ€™ve had. Definitely worth the $1.50 refill on those, but I doubt youโ€™ll need one since the mason jars huge! Overall, this place has some of the best food weโ€™ve had in town. My family and I loved it and will be back soon.

The place is small with a great atmosphere. Outdoor patio added for more space. The music was eclectic and fun. Staff was amazing. Prices weren't too high although my hubs did not appreciate the 2$ charge for water. The only reason I rated it four instead of five stars is the waffles weren't crisp. They were soft like pancakes. I got the bacon pecan waffles and the caramel sauce was delicious. Regular waffles and chicken tenders were good as well. A side of fried pickles that 2out of 3 of us agreed were excellent. The chicken tenders were very crunchy yet still moist on the inside. I'd really like to try the grits next time. And I can imagine how amazing the wings are. All in all worth the stop and experience!

Wowza! This place blew us all away. I will have to go back to try more. Both the original and Nashville tenders were amazing. We waited 30 minutes but got to order beer while we waited. Staff was quick. The fried green beans were some of the best fried sides I ever had. Could not have been happier.

Kind and helpful staff, Great tasting food, freshly cooked, a bit of a wait but thatโ€™s due to fresh service, when I say wait I mean like 30-40min. Went around 11am when they open bummer was we wanted to go to try their greens and they said they would not be done for another 4 hours. If you want greens go for dinner. Pecan bacon pancakes were good but be ready for some sugar or get a side of chicken for a more salty sweet mix.

Absolutely soulful and delicious!!! This place is really up there with the chicken and waffle restaurants I had in Arizona. Very worth the wait, good things come with patience and this place sure delivers for their quality, taste, and service. Loved the spices and flavors, the food sure hit the spot! I will be back, thank you!! ๐Ÿ™

When you come, expect to wait for a minute. It may be annoying, but itโ€™s not the servers fault. They are friendly and make sure the food is to your liking. Sometimes quality food can take awhile, but when the food does come out, you forget about how impatience you were feeling as you start tearing up your plate of some great savory tasty chicken wings and sweet sweet delicious waffles. I was not really into the chicken and waffles type food, but Franks changed that for me. The sides are on point and the chicken and waffles never disappoint. It becomes worth the wait as the quality of the food never misses. The evening I went to this time had live blues rock band going on that made the place a vibe. Frankโ€™s Famous Chicken & Waffleโ€™s is definitely one of the best food experience in ABQ.

Amazing! Everything was delicious! Got the 6 piece and 2 waffles. Comes with a whipped cinnamon butter and maple syrup. Also tried the tenderloin plate, mac and cheese, greens, fried mushrooms, red beans and rice. All were very good. Definitely would go back again. The staff are extremely friendly and they make sure everything came out perfect.

I absolutely loved the food here. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is delicious. This has to be the best place for Chicken and Waffles, Okra and Sauerkraut in Albuquerque. I want to mention they also serve Kool-Aid which brings back memories.

Frank's Famous Chicken and Waffles is a true gem of a restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The menu features a mouthwatering selection of classic Southern-style chicken and waffles, but also a variety of other dishes that are sure to satisfy any taste bud. Let's talk about the food. The chicken is juicy and perfectly seasoned, with a crispy coating that's just the right amount of crunchy. The waffles are light and fluffy, with just the right amount of sweetness. When you combine them, it's a match made in culinary heaven. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Trust me, you won't leave this place hungry or broke! But it's not just the food that makes Frank's Famous Chicken and Waffles special. The service is outstanding, with friendly staff who go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is a memorable one. They're happy to make recommendations and answer any questions you might have. The restaurant itself is cozy and inviting, with plenty of seating for groups or solo diners. The decor is charming and adds to the overall ambiance. And if you're in a rush, they even have a convenient take-out option. Overall, I highly recommend Frank's Famous Chicken and Waffles. It's a must-visit restaurant that's perfect for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Don't miss out on this Southern-style gem - you won't be disappointed!

I'll add pics as I revisit. First and second visit: I knew this place would be worth it! Prices are surprisingly not outrageous. But plan on around $20/person. Chicken was perfect texture, seasoning, and doneness. A little small. Waffles are a decent size. I almost got two waffles, but honestly one was satisfying. We had to order wings also. Pro tip: get the bacon pecan sauce. The "Off the Wall" fries were worth my lactose intolerance issues. We shared it as an appetizer. Catfish was definitely top tier. Fried mushrooms were tasty too. But I liked the smoked turkey greens even more than the fried stuff! Third visit: the quality changed. Waffle seemed smaller and less crispy. Pecan/bacon sauce still divine. I actually enjoyed my "muddy water" gravy wings. But my husband got the Nashville hot wings and it was unclear until we got them that it was a dry rub, not a sauce. If you don't mind spoonfuls of cayenne and nothing else, go for it. They wouldn't replace his wings but they allowed him buffalo sauce. It helped a little. Maybe we aren't used to Nashville hot but we've had better experiences.

I was recommended this place by a friend who states this was the best chicken and waffles in town. Letโ€™s just say this place is overrated. Waffles are decently made. They are paired with butter that has cinnamon powder, which in my opinion its a great pair. Now the chicken bone-in wings are very small in portions and hardly any chicken. The wings were over cooked and I tasted more of the burn chicken rather than meat. The chicken tenders are better in my opinion. The Fries definitely stood out the best. The mac and cheese was cold and not fresh. There should be sauces options instead of just the ketchup and hot sauce that they place in the table. Prices are reasonable and an adequate amount of portions are given. Overall staff is courteous. A nice place all in all.

Food was okay. The gravy is delicious. But the fried chicken still had feathers, the corn bread was stale, the soggy mac n cheese did not have much flavor, there was more oil than sweet potatoes. The other pieces of chicken tasted good. The greens were delicious. The staff was amazing and very welcoming.

Finally! A place with tasty wings! I knew this place must have good food as soon as I pulled up! Lots of locals and that's a good sign. The buffalo wings were delicious, not overly breaded and nicely cooked all the way to the bone and juicy! Deep fried mushrooms and pickles were just as tasty and plentiful! The staff was very friendly and really appreciated their customers! Check out Frank's Famous Chicken and Waffles! I'm definitely going to become a regular customer!

Music was a little too loud (maybe because we were by the speaker). Waitress was friendly. Food was good. Chicken wings maybe a little more seasoning. Tasted the catfish and it was delicious . Will be back to try more of the menu -- Also the candied yams were awesome and sweet

Waffles and chicken were great. Tried the catfish not to good tasted like muddy water. Okra and rice and gravy were the best I've had. Place was packed when we arrived, and we waited about 30 minutes before ordering. Parking was at a premium do to how busy they were. Overall, it's a good place. Prices weren't bad for the quality of food.
