Some of the worst food I’ve had in ABQ. I got a chicken karaage bento box, miso soup, and spicy edamame and EVERYTHING was disgusting. The California roll was an absolute joke. The pieces are HUGE and 90% rice. They gave me 2 end pieces that had no avocado and was about 96% rice. Yuck. The chicken is chewy. Both the egg roll and gyoza were over cooked and hard. I can guarantee I will not order from here again. Not a single redeeming quality. NONE of it was good. Save yourself the headache and ridiculous prices for trash food. Pictures included of their “California roll”

Do not order or eat here!!! For a place with such great reviews, we are shocked with the quality of food….. as Asian Americans, we’ve had our fair share of Sushi roll/Japanese places along the way. In terms of rolls, this has to be one of the worst places we’ve ever had. 1. Rice is too mushy, to where it has lost its original shape; its literally almost rice a rice cake. Rice in sushi should not be mushed into one form, but this place somehow manages to do that. We weren’t sure whether we were having rice or rice cake?? (Please train your chefs to control your rice. They should not be rolled with too much force- which causes rice’s gluten to form stickiness, hence the mushy rice cake instead of actual sushi roll. 2. They are very cheap with their ingredients Let me put it this way 30% ingredients + 70% rice = paying $13+ for a sushi roll at this place What a shame. For a place with high ratings, this was very disappointing. (And we are not picky!!!)

Got some sushi to go and was really disappointed. Fish on the rainbow roll was clearly old. It was pale looking and very mushy. The dark hair in one piece was an added bonus. The Carterpillar roll was just a plain roll with mushy avocado smeared all over. Overall not very happy with the presentation or taste considering the price.

I love this place. When I've doordashed in the past, this place is super popular. For good reason! Will keep coming back!

First time trying Don Sushi and I have to admit, delicious. Extremely reasonable prices, good service and bomb sushi... What more can you ask for?

Don Sushi is a pleasant place. The sushi tastes amazing! The service was very good, besides dinning tables there are two bar tables you can sit at as well. It is quite with Spanish music playing in the back ground. It is in an area where you will pay for parking at parking meters. But a couple of quarters is well worth sitting in this place. Sushi flavors...On the Lt. Crab middle, Crunchy crunch, black widow to the right. Mmmmm. Heads up they are located on Sliver and 3rd. You need to park on 3rd. The restaurant is on 3rd street.

My review is for the hot white frat looking sushi roller dude I saw a several weeks ago. Went in for a pickup order you were staring at me probably because I'm hot too. Whatever your name is you look too interesting not to date ethnic women. The food is good or whatever but y'all go look at the white boy. Until next time ;)

Great service and great atmosphere. Their Bento Box is super good, highly recommended. We tried a vegetarian roll and a salmon roll as well, they are good, but as a sushi lover, I think their sushi should be a little bit improved. Overall experience was very good. Highly recommend for anyone who is around for a quick lunch.

I was trying to find a place to eat lunch on s Sunday afternoon and this place was open. I was very surprised with the quality of all the fish types in Charishi. Very fresh and the dish tasted really good. Environment is also very good and staff were super friendly.

This was a great place. We were craving some sushi on the way and decided to stop based on the ratings here. Definitely some big portions. Friendly service!

We had an excellent experience. We were able to sub california rolls from the daily special for something more gluten friendly without any hassle at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Tried to take my girlfriend to a nice dinner and when we get there no service what so ever we sit at a random table and finally get a menu after sitting for 10 minutes then we order, wait another 20 minutes just to be told we can’t eat at the restaurant which is terrible considering we drove out of our way for the food. The girl waitresses didn’t seem to speak English even tho they took my order overall terrible experience and I wouldn’t recommend.

Viva la raza! We came from out of town. When looking for a sushi spot I came across Don Sushi, and the google reviews were right! The food exceeded my expectations, the music is awesome, and the atmosphere couldn't be better. The servers and chefs are great, they made me an exclusive(not on the menu) plate when I showed them a picture. Overall, I recommend coming.

No frills sushi joint. Go for the Diablo Roll. Service was excellent.

At first, I was worried the portion sizes were going to be too small for their price. Once they came out, however, I noticed how big they were. They were very filling and super delicious. I can’t wait to go back!

Sushi was good. Service and server really sucked. Server was not nice at all usually when you're in this industry I should feel welcomed. Thanks for making my birthday dinner miserable. Burnt coconut shrimp so I thought it'd be replaced but it wasn't. So disappointed. Usually I enjoy my time here. Just bad vibes as soon as I walked in..

Nice modern style sushi place. When I come in town and I'm not sure what to eat, this place is dependable and I walk away happy every time. They have a good selection of sake. And the sushi and/or poke bowl does not disappoint.

Absolutely the BEST place in abq for sushi. The Spicy Tuna hand roll is my go to. The sumo roll was also very delicious.

They have a great variety selection and a couple unique items not found at other sushi places. The service is good although they could be more attentive throughout the visit instead of just the beginning as I've had to flag the server over twice in my visit as they seem to forget about you after they deliver the order.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The squid salad was tasty and their options for rolls are unique. We had the red crunchy and mexico and really liked them both. It’s a casual place so it was perfect for bringing the kiddos.

I called and asked if they have any gluten-free items and they suggested certain sushi rolls. I asked if they had gluten-free soy sauce and they said yes. I told them I was going to make a door dash order. I placed the order, and specifically wrote in the notes on the order to make sure everything is gluten free as a reminder.Everything arrived with soy sauce that is not gluten-free, etc. I called the store and the man on the phone didn't seem like he cared and said "I don't know what to tell you we don't have gluten-free anything", refused to let me speak to the manager and refused me a refund.

Restaurant downtown ABQ. Easy access on foot. Ordered to go. Wait was about 30mn, when I got there, it wasn't very busy on a cold 6:30pm. Reception was so-so. I had tonkatsu and an order of gyoza. It was alright, not extremely flavorful, but expectations were low.

Staying at local hotel on a Monday night and all of the close by restaurants were closed. Chose Don Sushi because I love sushi and it had good reviews. As I regularly do, pulled up their website so I had more details before ordering. Always a little leery of sushi in a new to me town but hungry for it I'm so glad that I did. The sashimi roll had all my favorites inside and was fresh and delicious. The Dragon Roll with soft shell crab was SPECTACULAR what a creative and delicious roll! My friend's shrimp fried rice was excellent and the miso was also very good. The yakisoba was just so so. Great choice and a great meal!

Delicious food, large servings, and a wide selection of beverages. The menu is fairly diverse, and we will be coming back.

Awesome Sushi place!! Been to about 8 different places in Albuquerque and this is our go-to. I was skeptical when I heard it was a Sushi place with somewhat of a Mexican twist (music/staff/decor). It's a fun vibe though! Their sushi is never disappointing and they also have Orion beer from Japan! Can't find that at any liquor stores or Japanese/Sushi places.

First time going, and honestly was not disappointed. The sushi was amazingly fresh and the Pokebowl was top notch. Will be coming back soon.
