Incredible food! I had a quarter pound brisket, half sausage, potato salad, Rudy’s beans, cream soda, and a banana pudding. Amazing!

Texas BBQ in ABQ. Read below. The brisket in the brisket sandwich was a half dry. The Smokey flavors were present but lacked juice. The sauce made up for it for the semi lackadaisical meat. The sandwich with two meats is probably the best-buy out of the whole menu. The sausage had nice a flavor to it. The sauce made the sandwich again. !The pulled pork was the winner. It had a mustard vinegar taste that complimented the pulled pork in the buttered bread. The chocolate pudding was a good dessert after the okay food. FYI. Queue up for some BBQ. You clean up after yourself. The napkins are on the posts at the end of the table. Place your tray anywhere after your done.

We drove up and curious. The smell in the air had our taste buds going and our mouth watering. This place was very raw, unique, and fun to experience. It's kinda like a indoor backyard picnic type of feel. You order by the weight, no plates, country music blaring, indoor/ outdoor seating, and cool baroque barn like decor. The food was very tasty and definitely worthwhile getting your hands dirty. It was finger licking good! If you're in the area and in the mood for Bar-b-que...I highly recommend it. It's a very come as you are very casual place for anyone and everyone. Please like and follow for more adventures. Enjoy!

Brisket was flavorful & had a good bite to it. Sissy sauce has just enough kick to it but the house sauce brings some heat. Sides were delicious!🔥 Staff is dedicated to great teamwork and the atmosphere of the historic red building was cozy with a fire hearth on the patio. 🔥Follow Tobes Brisket Challenge for more national barbecue reviews…🗺

The potato salad is heavy on the mayo, but it has a really nice tang to it. I wish it had a bit more texture, but overall its pretty good. 7.8/10 The sweet tea won't give you type 2 diabetus, but might leave you with a cavity. Good level of sweetness and quality black tea. 9.0/10 The breakfast taco with eggs, spicy brisket, and red Chile sauce is fantastic. The BBQ sauce and chile sauce created this smokey peppery sweet goodness that makes you wish you had a bigger tongue with more taste buds to fully appreciate this culinary concoction. The eggs are fluffy with some good pull to them and the brisket is juicy and moist. Do keep an eye out for for stray bones 9.8/10 The chopped brisket with beans and red Chile sauce breakfast taco is also worth getting. 8.5/10 New mexico has officially redeemed itself in terms of barbecue, granted its Texas style BBQ. Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu

Great spot to stop off the highway for a bite to eat! Walked in and was greeted by friendly staff and got our order in and had food in a matter of minutes. I got a brisket sandwich with corn on the cob which was well buttered and the brisket had a great taste. Overall good food, friendly and helpful staff and a nice restaurant!

Coming from England we don't have many true BBQ places so it was a real treat to come and eat here. The staff were super friendly and helped to choose meat and sides. The brisket was tender. The pulled pork was just the best. The sides were delicious as well. Great place I would highly recommend.

I love the assortment of meats from brisket, prime rib, sausage, chicken, ... Etc. Try the cream of corn and peach cobbler. You purchase the meats by the pound and eat it on wax paper with pickles and onions and a loaf of bread. Texas bbq. Go check them out. Great sauces and a nice casual atmosphere. Friendly service just like back in Texas.2hen I. Jonesin of BBQ Rudy's is my place.

What a great find off the Highway! The style set up is fast for traveling. You will walk in and order at the counter. It is a picnic style set up self serve. I loved the sissy sauce, bbq beans, coleslaw, and chopped brisket.

Rudy’s is the go to place for our family to enjoy fantastic BBQ! We’ve had the absolute pleasure of enjoying their moist brisket and pulled pork and couldn’t ask for better tasting food than what we received. Their sauces are delicious which has prompted us to buy several of their bottles to enjoy at home. In the short time we’ve known about this place, we’ve visited 4 times! Each time we ordered over the phone and we were able to pick up our order in 30 minutes or less. The pick up has always been smooth with little to no wait, no doubt due to their efficient employees. These positive experiences have me always looking forward to my next visit!

Amazing food! Nothing beats the southern BBQ! Coming here from the NW and having this as my first experience is mind-blowing! I had the moist brisket, prime brisket, coleslaw, potatoes salad, banana pudding, side of pickles carrots, and New Mexico's Red and Green Chili's! It put a smile on my face!

I’m not a huge fan of BBQ but I would have to say one of the best BBQ I’ve had in my life. By the pound. I had the brisket moist. Juicy! Delicious. Add your own BBQ sauce (in my opinion the Sissy Sauce was way better!) Oh. Banana pudding was fire! A must have.

Had lunch on a Sunday. Wait was about ten minutes to get food but line got a lot longer around 1230. We had a brisket sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich along with coleslaw. The brisket had good flavor but was a bit dry. Pulled pork and coleslaw were both good.

Been to Rudy's twice. The first was that of in Spring, TX and now here in Albaquerque, NM. The moist brisket is really delicious even without sauce, perfectly spiced and so tender. Pork and beef ribs are also perfect if you are craving for the smoke flavor.

An amazing number of choices to build your breakfast taco. I chose eggs, jalapeño sausage, beans and red sauce. The taco was huge, cheap, and tasty. By chance, the winds that day placed us right under the launch path of the balloon festival, so I even got a free show!

Wedding Catering Review: Robert and the entire catering team could not have been more of an incredible team to work with. From the start we felt so special, we got to sit down and do a tasting where we got tons of food. We spoke about some changes we would want to make and Robert worked with us to make that happen. We requested the smoker which was such a hit, and allowed us to have fresh meat and added a fun touch. The price was unbeatable, and I am so glad we went with Rudys. The service was great, they came in and took over and left as if they were never there. I got tons of quotes from other caterers, but I new I could trust Rudy's. Hire them!!!!! xoxox

When I want to spend a premium on food, I expect it to be at least 10x higher in quality compared to what I can make at home, or what my family is capable of doing. And while the BBQ pork, chicken, and beans were quite good, they don't live up to the quality of BBQ pork and beans my family can make. Why would I give my money to a business for food when I can get better when visiting my folks?

This was our first visit. We both ordered the Spicy Chop with sauce, an additional ½# order of ribs (4) and some hot New Potatoes. I brought is over some of the "condiments", which consists of your choice of hot peppers, pickles, onions, and carrots. OMG 😲 😱 Everything was soooo spicy, and I'm a fan of the flame!! The CHOP is a combination of brisket and turkey, saturated in their namesake sauce. Never had spicy carrots before, not a fan. Spicy pickles were good. They give you a few slices of white bread with your order, presumably for sandwich making. It was hot going down, got numb midway, now a few hours later ...

We originally wanted to go to Blake's Lotabuurger next door. However, when we saw this BBQ restaurant, we decided to go here instead since it was local. Boy were we glad we made the last minute switch! The food was amazing. The brisket in the brisket sandwhich was tender, juicey, and thick cuts. The half chicken was also very juicy and tender. It was slightly on the bland side but that's not a problem since there was various sauces available to try. The Cole slaw was ok. Not drowned in an extreme amount of mayo. It was crunchy and fresh tasting but also on the bland side. Overall, a very nice ambiance with great friendly service. Prices were reasonable for what you get.

First time here. We tried the pork ribs, wet brisket, jalapeno sausage, creamed corn, Cole slaw, green chili stew with a couple of DosXX beer. Great flavor and the barbq sauce is wonderful. We will be coming back

We ordered a brisket sandwich after waiting 15 minutes in line. The barbecue brisket is excellent however I got a huge hunk of fat on my sandwich after asking for a lean piece. Since it wasn't cheap I was quite angry about it and told the manager who said he would have given me another piece of brisket. unfortunately was too late I would have given it five stars if they gave me a better piece.
