Real Chinese food with big portions. Service is nice and the place is never too crowd. It closes on Mondays. We always order the fried fish, roast duck and some greens. They don’t have a lot choices on the greens though, which makes the meal high of fat and carbon. This is true for most Chinese restaurant so I won’t complain too much. The quality of the white rice there could be improved, to meet the tasty dishes. I also don’t like rice comes in plastic containers too, sometimes has a bit unpleasant smell..

Would not recommend, food tasted fine and service was great, however around halfway through finishing a Mongolian beef and fried shrimp dinner combo, I ran into something extremely hard whilst chewing. Upon further investigation, turns out it was a small ROCK. At first I thought it was just an unground peppercorn , but it wasn’t. After digging around in the food with a fork, I found ANOTHER rock. Absolutely ridiculous, and unfortunately the food was a take out order so I didn’t discover this until making it home. Either way, how does a rock even end up in food, much less two? Totally disappointed as the food did taste good and the service was quality, but none of that is worth chipping a tooth, and frankly this ruined my appetite. Will be seeking a refund and I’m just glad I didn’t bite down too hard and crack a molar.

My husband and I were traveling from Arizona to our home in Kentucky and stopped in Albuquerque for the night. We had been eating Mexican food and a lot of meat and we were ready for some fresh and delicious Chinese food. I was so excited I came across this place online because the reviews were so great and the prices reasonable. We went and were both initially impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant, the friendliness of the staff, and the freshness of the appetizer and egg drop soup. The initial impressions began to wear off once my husband received his main course. I did not receive mine and as the restaurant began to fill up, many folks who came in after us did receive their food. My hunger was aggravated because, although this was likely not their intention, I felt singled out because I was the only Black person in the restaurant and the only one sitting there not eating. As my husband finished his meal, my food was brought out. We took it to go. Staff apologized, but only gave us 10% off! I was too tired, too hungry, and a little too humiliated to argue. I paid and we left. I understand that there were only two people working that night; I have worked restaurants and understand that it is HARD WORK. Similarly, I have so much respect for folks who are working to make it in a place that may be hostile, at times, to them as immigrants. But while I sat patiently watching my husband and all the other guests around me eat, neither of the workers would even look at me or ask if I needed anything. It was very disappointing.

beautiful building, wonderful service (even the cooks showed their faces when serving food, possibly from understaffing but this did not effect the prep time it seems), even more wonderful food. highly recommended.

As of March 2021 East Ocean is open for dine-in. The experience I had with my grandma at East. ocean was delicious our waitress is so nice and helpful. She was very kind a patient with my grandma and I because everything looked so good to eat we couldn't decide what we wanted to eat for dinner. To start off their phone was ringing non-stop for takeout orders even though we were the only dine customer they had their hands busy with other customers walking in and out of their restaurant. What we order was 2 wanton soup 🍲 to start us off with and when our main full came it was the perfect size for use to share and try each other food! We ordered "Chicken egg foo young" and "Garlic shrimp" our food came with some plain white rice.🍚

My husband and I love East Ocean Restaurant! The duck is fresh and succulent. I have Celiac’s, and they always make sure my food is Gluten Free. We like to bring family and friends who come to visit us to East Ocean for great duck and seafood.

Ugh. Tsai's was the best, East Ocean was bad. Chicken lo mein was mysteriously brown, a few onions, ugh. Beef mixed vegetables ok, fried rice not ok. I spotted miniscule bits of egg, no scallions, also, mysteriously brown. Cashew chicken had nice cashews. Egg rolls were average and ok. But I ended up tossing all the lo mein and rice, so kind of expensive for three egg rolls and two dishes at $36.

Sweet and sour chicken very oily and dry inside, didn't get silverware with my to go, and place is kind of run down.

poor service. made a reservation and once we arrived we ordered right away less than 10 minutes after arriving. we sat there for about 45 minutes until receiving our drinks, and after an hour and a half we received our food. server was no where to be seen and had to stand up to get their attention for simple drink refills. there were people around us having to clean their own table due to servers not doing it. outrageous service.

food and service was very good, prompt seating and drinks, followed shortly by orders taken, appetizer was served shortly thereafter. Entre's 3 followed in short order. The restuarant is a long term staple in our hosehold. The interior is clean, spacious and comfortable.

They serve flounder!! So if you like fish this place is for you the only reason not 5 stars in the indoor temperature. It is a bit hot inside but it's understandable with the weather, food is great service great.

Super yummy duck and fish. Asked for a specific style of fish not on the menu and they made it just right! Really nice service too. Can't wait to eat there again!

Duck was nice a little bit salty. Fried tofu not worth it. Too much oily and the price is similar to main meal. Chicken kung pao was tasty but only 20% in the plate was chicken, the rest was full of vegetables. The service not friendly. Basically can sense that she don't like being questioned even to ask how does it taste. Overall is average. Can try duck for once.

Really tasty food and huge portion size. Waitress/hostess was very nice and pleasant to interact with. All dishes served on plastic plates and they no longer have a liquor license so no beer or wine absolve. Would definitely visit again or order take out.
