My visit here was memorable, it’s a beautiful church, both inside and out. I viewed the inside of the church during Sunday mass and was absolutely taken aback by the gold detailing and how well preserved everything looked. It’s incredible to know you can attend a mass in a church that’s been in continuous use for 200 years. The outside gardens were in full bloom and well maintained. It’s an experience worth making time for!

I came for the Balloon Fiesta and was lucky enough to attend Mass in the oldest church in the state. It was very cool in a hot afternoon. The most was nice and all the people were welcoming and kind. I know God was there and peace was in my heart.

A beautiful church located in Old Town. At a glance, you can definitely tell there's a rich history to this church. It is the oldest church in Albuquerque after all. Unfortunately, I didn't go inside because the door was locked when I visited. But definitely stop by if you're visiting and shopping in Old Town.

I went over here at the insistence of my granddaughter, Amelia, because she wanted to see the spiral staircase inside. However, there was a wedding going on which we got to attend also. The mariachi band was quite colorful. We also do the perimeter of the church and read all the historical signs.

The church is always locked, even during hours when advertised as open.I'm here from Tx for my work. I've been trying for four months to visit the chapel. I was hoping to be able to pray and meditate there. Today I went to the church. Right as I started to open the door, the lady dressed in black shut the door in my face then shooed me away like a dog. It's a shame that the powers that be are so stingy with this beautiful treasure.

Amazing how this church was once the epi center of ABQ. The old Town and commerce was centered around this important building under the Viceroy of Mexico Cty.

Gorgeous architecture and very well kept and preserved! Stunning colors and unique features. Definitely loved walking around all the stands here during the Balloon Fiesta Weekend, and will be back to check it out again sometime for sure.

Historic Catholic Church in the center of Albuquerque. Entrance is from the museum / gift shop and, once inside, you can feel the history of the place.

Beautiful, historic church in Old Town. Make sure to wander inside. It is free and the gift shop is worth looking at.

It’s unfortunate this church isn’t really open for visitors. We were able to go in prior to a service and quickly shooed out because service was starting in a half an hour. We just wanted to do a quick walk through to see the church and pay our respects, but we’re quickly shooed out.

San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church is located on the north side of old town plaza, filling the entire north side. It still has services and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1793 and is one of the oldest surviving buildings in the city and the only building in Old Town proven to date to the Spanish colonial period. A grand place to visit, even if you are not a Catholic. Be sure to stop in at the gift shop and museum. Profits from there help support the parish work. Parking is in the general lot for old town or metered on the street.
