As
the
airlines
always
say,
"safety
is
our
number
one
priority".
Unfortunately,
the
front
desk
person
did
not
give
me
that
feeling
when
I
called
at
5am
to
say
that
a
man
outside
my
door
was
aggressively
knocking,
claiming
he
was
"Room
Service"
and
asking
me
to
open
up.
He
even
tried
to
turn
the
door
knob.
I
called
the
front
desk
and
they
said
they
would
send
someone
down.
The
mystery
"room
service"
person
disappeared
but
no
hotel
employee
or
security
followed-up
with
me.
When
I
called
30
minutes
later
to
ask
if
anyone
followed-up,
I
was
told
that
"it
could
have
been
someone
who
was
inebriated
and
thought
they
were
at
a
different
hotel".
Well,
that
did
not
add
up
to
what
appeared
to
be
someone
seriously
interested
in
getting
into
my
room.
When
I
left
the
hotel
a
short
time
later
(and
our
room
was
immediately
next
to
the
side
rear
parking
lot
"key-card"
entrance),
I
discovered
that
the
exit
door
had
been
prevented
from
closing
with
an
empty
soda
bottle--which
I
promptly
kicked
away.
How
the
hotel
could
have
a
security
system
which
does
not
flag
an
open
door--or
a
camera
on
the
door
in
a
city
and
location
known
for
high
property
crime
(and
more)
is
beyond
me.
Think
seriously
about
your
personal
safety
before
staying
here.
