I am a presidential platinum Marriott time share owner. We always stay in Marriott properties. We have stayed at this property before for all the reasons stated in other reviews, nice rooms, great breakfast and great location in a city we love. This time there was something missing. There is a problem with this property, 2 luggage carts at a property near the Albuquerque Airport. After waiting over an hour for one to appear, I inquired, with no help offered, I made 6 trips thru the lobby laden while hotel staff watched with no offer of assistance. At almost 80, I am grateful that I was able to do it. Other travelers may not be so fortunate. This morning 5/26 I suggested to the desk manager that the staff might want to monitor the use of the carts by simply saying to hotel guests you can only have the cart for the time needed to remove travel items for your room. There was no response. I am writing this review to hopefully change this situation. I believe in giving a good hotel another chance, and we will. Help was what was missing here.

I highly recommend staying elsewhere other than this place. I travel frequently on business and 95% of the time stay in a Marriott. This location is the worst I have ever stayed in throughout numerous states. The front desk staff members are very rude, the property is poorly maintained with numerous areas that require repair. My day begins at 4am and there is not any hot water. My shower has runs for over 15 minutes and the water is constantly only lukewarm. When the problem was brought before the front desk staff they stated we are sorry we can’t do anything, they never say that we will have maintenance look at it and let you know. Also be aware that this hotel is animal friendly…no leash required and neighbors that have dogs in rooms just toss the animal urine pads out in front of their door. I will also add that the older gentleman at the front desk needs to be replaced as he tries to get involved with your personal business. This is the last time staying here and I will make sure other coworkers are also made aware of the issues.

** Update** (when we checked out I expressed our disappointment about the smell of marijuana throughout our room coming from elsewhere. I asked the gentleman at the front desk if this was indeed still a non-smoking facility and he explained that it still happens. The staff at the hotel was uninterested in our bad experience until I left this review. It was them that they reached out and wanted me to contact them ) We have stayed here many times in the past and this will be our last sadly. We chose this location because they have a great grassy area, and we travel with our dog. We have had many positive experiences here in the past, but it seems like things have changed at this location. I think the hundred dollar a night dog fee plus the extra five dollar pet fee is rather high. When we came through two or three weeks ago and stayed here, I had nothing but great things to say about the front desk staff. They were very friendly and helpful when they gave us the key to a room that had no sheets or bedding on the mattress and dirty linen on the sofa. They quickly gave us another room which was acceptable. This time we didn't get friendly at the front desk at all. The straw that broke the camel's back, though it was just as we were settling in to go to sleep, our room was filled with smoky, weed smell coming through the vents from a room nearby. When I called to complain to the front desk, he told me that we have individual vents . He sent a maintenance guy down who told me differently. He told me the rooms are all interconnected and that we share air with nearby rooms. When we asked to switch rooms, they gave us the key to the room next-door which smelled like cigarettes. Supposedly this is a non-smoking property? we asked again for a different room on another floor and my husband went up there and it smelled like nasty greasy food. We decided to stay in the smelly weed room with our windows slightly open even though it's on the first floor and we don't feel totally safe doing so. The breakfast here is a bust not what you would expect for the price you pay for rooms. For just under $300 a night with her dog, we will go across the street to Sleep Inn next time. We can stay there with our dog for about a third of the price and they have a good breakfast and comfortable beds.

Our room didn't have functional kitchen utensils. The knives were dull, no containers to store used food and definitely inadequate kitchen set up. We found the floor of the exercise room soiled with unsightly stains. They need to replace the carpet and install gym flooring. There were no towelettes to wipe down the equipment and no towels for personal hygiene and sweat. The day we checked in we told the front desk person on duty that the dishwasher was missing the load handle. His response was "we don't have any replacements". Not the answer a hotel guess expects from an hotel employee. Additionally when we asked for an additional whole set of towels, the woman first asked if I had dirty towels to exchange. I told her we were still using them and needed extra. I felt like it was an unwelcomed request. We were booked for 8 days. Finally the web site posted that the rooms would be cleaned every second or third day. We were told by the front desk that we would only get one cleaning during our 8 day stay. We have been Marriott International owners for 20 years. We get used to that level of attention to detail. It's disappointing that these hotels use Covid to take away some services, but still charge the same if not higher room rates.

By far the worst location I have ever been to, worst customer service, I tried checking in at 3 am, and the main door was locked and was advised to come to the side of the patio for check in. I called the front desk several times before anyone answered. I am a platinum elite member and this service I experienced tonight has been very unprofessional, and very unpleasant 0/10 do not recommend

Lovely clean room, not the best view we've had. Nice breakfast. 5mins from the airport 👍

The rooms are relatively up to date. My problems were that the internet is bad. Really bad. A carrier pigeon could move data faster than the internet here. And the shower had no pressure. Ever taken a shower and had to use a moisture sensor to check if you were actually wet because you couldn't tell if water was actually coming out?

Pet fees!! Poor layout. Average experience for above average costs. Large room with a poor setup for the bed - to get to one side, you have to slide sideways between the corner of the bed and the wall. Someone didn't think this through. HUGE CON - Although they allow themselves to be listed as pet friendly, they charge $100 extra... on a $150 room! So to have your dog with you, plan on adding 2/3 to the cost. Small peeve - what idiot thought greenish shampoo bottles with green lettering were a good idea? Look at the picture and quickly say which is shampoo, conditioner, or bath gel. Mark was pleasant upon check-in. Be aware that the front door is locked at 10 pm, so you have to buzz for help. Parking can fill up with trailers. Area looks a bit seedie. Breakfast was typical prepackaged things with limited made fresh. I noted they had extra condiments like red pepper flakes out for use. Coffee station was minimal, though. Honestly, we probably won't stay here again as the room isn't worth $300 a night. Other places are as nice and more reasonable with their pet fees.

Stayed during the Balloon fiesta. Room was good except shower is slippery as heck. Both my son and I fell. There is a reason they give you a shower mat, use it! Front desk staff was nothing to write home about. Wasn’t particularly bad or good. Just not up to par for Marriot. Pool was atrocious. Bugs, Bugs and Bugs in the pool! Rusty grab bars and nasty tile. Definitely needs a revamp. Makes me wonder if it is maintained properly. Not saying don’t stay here but don’t expect much. Highlights are the location, breakfast, and rooms weren’t bad inside.

Marriott has been letting me down lately. Not this residence inn!! Super clean, very friendly staff, nice inside, very close to the Albuquerque airport. Aside from the pool not working like at every other marriott hotel I have stayed at lately this was superb. I will be staying here every time I come through town. Fantastic!!

Good location. Rooms are spacious and clean. Easy on off interstate. Very close to a brewery called 377, which has very good food and tasty beers!

Beds are apparently made of stone slabs. They keep half the entrances to the hotel permanently locked (not accessible with your room key) for "security" and then proceed to prop those doors open 14 hours a day. The night front desk lead reeks of weed from his car, which is illegally parked in the fire lane all night, all the way to the front desk, where you will not find him, as he is hiding in the back room all night and you have to use the front door intercom system to get him to come out. I've never stayed in a hotel before where they struggle so much to make keycards - I've had to get keys made 4 times in a week-long stay because they continuously deactivate them or accidentally make me a key for an entirely different room in the hotel.

We stayed at this Inn two days ago. The hotel is getting tired and the neighborhood is scary. I found the check in staff grumpy. Almost rude. Breakfast was awful. Don't know why that can't improve this important service. I would not be able to recommend this property.

When we first stayed here on our trip on the way to the Grand Canyon, it was fabulous. We stayed on our way back from the Grand Canyon and it was awful. The Asst. GM was rude to my parents because they asked about a discount we had gotten when we first stayed because my dad is a veteran. The food sucked. There were holes in the furniture of our room, the shower looked like they hadn’t bothered cleaning. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else.

Great location. The food was very good. Pretty clean. Some hairs in the bathroom. I asked for a taxi and was charged $20. It is a courtesy here in the USA. I was shocked. I could have made that call if the receptionist had told me there would be a charge.

The room was really good. Breakfast was okay. Close to the airport and you can even get buses to go to the downtown. The pool and hot tub need some cleaning. The hotel staff/manager said they do not have a bag keeping service, and they couldn't do much for late checkout ( its not super convenient if you have an evening flight). Overall experience was okay.

The last time I stayed at this location I was very unsatisfied. The shower/ tub was dirty, wallpaper was a mess and carpet seams were frayed with staples sticking up. There was a drinking glass in the cabinet that was broken and I cut my hand on it. At 7am I was awoken by banging that I initially thought was someone at the door or within the utility room next to us. Soon along with the constant banging I heard what sounded like something being dragged across the floor or wall. I called the front desk who seemed irritated by my inquiry as to if there was some kind of construction taking place. The person said they were not aware but would look into it and call me back, which they never did. The noise finally stopped around 945. When we checked out I took the broken glass and brought up the issue to the front desk who was barely concerned and stated carpet was being repaired on the floor above us. They said I would recieve extra points for my stay and would speak to someone to see if an adjustment could be made to my charge for the stay. They too claimed they would call me back, which they never did and I never recieved any points. Extremely disappointing experience

Nice place overall, with nice rooms, nice lobby, nice grounds and cool friendly service. The location is not the best, but it's close to freeway, restaurants, the base, and sports parks. I've stayed here off and on for 3 years and always a pleasant experience

My stay at this hotel was a short one - one night for a work event at Isleta - but it was exactly what I needed. Lovely, clean room... comfy bed... on-site coin laundry ($2 to wash, $2 to dry, takes quarters only)... and a hot tub and indoor pool free of screaming kiddos. Not only were the facilities great, but the staff really went above and beyond. Lewis A. at the front desk was incredibly helpful dealing with cc authorizations for our company card, and Danny not only remembered my name but he got us a second blanket super fast when we requested one. I will definitely be back to this hotel - way to go, ABQ!

Nice rooms, service and location. The front drive entrance was closed during both of our recent stays. A little inconvenience but workable. Checked in a day prior to on time arrival in early afternoon but room wasn't ready until after returning from lunch. There was no call from front desk to inform of room readiness as experienced recently at other Residence Inn locations but stay was good overall.

Pretty decent hotel. Nice spacious rooms. Helpful workers, had some issues with my bathroom when I arrived and they showed up nearly immediately to fix it. Good locations close to the airport. Not too much parking but it gets the job done. Pretty good location to Main Street restaurants too. If I needed to return for work, I’d stay here again.

We only stayed one night. We typically like to stay somewhere that offers more than a hotel room. The size of the unit is nice, and as expected for a Residence Inn suite, with comfortable living room for sitting, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom. Bed was comfortable. I ranked it a 4 star although I could have given it 3 stars, as the Suite needs a lot of upgrading. Overall the furnishings look pretty old, worn and stained, especially the carpets.

Excellent room. Entire hotel was very clean. The staff is helpful and very pleasant. And the manager is great. There's not much else to say except that I'll be staying here on my next trip to Albuquerque.

Room was very nice. Surprised the pool wasn't open later on the weekend, like 10pm instead of 9pm. Breakfast was great 👍 couldn't have asked for more. One of the few places I felt was safe enough for the family to stay and car outside all night. There are is full of homeless. The car did get keyed over night. 🤨 if it wasn't for having family who live in Albuquerque I would never go back. But if I do I would stay here again.

We enjoyed the stay very nice and clean. Lots of room. Just what we needed the down side was the service. The guy who checked us in was nice until the kids wanted to get in the pool they kept telling us it was closed while there were other people in the pool. It's not kid friendly!! Was over priced for the service they provide. FYI don't bring your kids here. 😫
