Zero stars. Checked into a room without working sink, toilet, nor shower. Moved to a second room where the sink and toilet worked, but the shower didn't. No shower on a road trip in 100º+F temperatures. The bathroom smelled like dirty diapers. No other rooms were available and every other hotel I called was booked. Checked out at 1am but no one was at the front desk. Was repeatedly told that the manager would call me at some point to discuss the stay and make compensation for the terrible conditions but no one ever did. When I would call back periodically over the following few weeks, I was hung up on or told the manager would call me back. No one ever did. Second worst hotel stay in my life. Horrible. Avoid this hotel. EDIT: Disingenuous reply from the owner. Meaningless tripe words about preventing a future occurrence--this hotel's front desk hung up on me or promised a return phone call 14 times to discuss this issue. They have fought my bank's attempt to get a refund for the unsanitary, disgusting room I stayed in for a handful of hours. Good customer service--hell, decent human response--would have been to deal with this issue first-hand. But this hotel has chosen not to do more than offer platitudes in written tripe. Refund my past stay. Or else all you are doing to attempting to salvage your public perception to hide from decency and responsibilty.

This is one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever stayed in. The room wreaks of smoke and a strong musty smell. The carpet is filthy and stained. The walls are paper thin and traffic goes by all night on Gibson Ave. It’s understaffed, and we had to wait at least 15 minutes for someone to come to the counter. The poor staff member was doing double duty driving the shuttle. It’s 10:30 at night and we have the room door wide open to the outside to get some of the stink out. Avoid at all costs. Stay somewhere else. One could do much better anywhere else. I wished I’d booked a Motel 6. At least it smells like bleach and is nearly half the price. I’m never staying at a La Quinta again and probably never at a Wyndham property.

Room 138 was disgusting. Cigarette burns all over the tub and linens, stains on the pillows, dirty carpet. The bathroom light didn't work so we had to use the flashlights on our phone. Rooms open to the parking lot so it feels shady. Lobby was dirty. Night staff was very rude(morning staff was better). Stayed 11/26/23

The problem is really not the people or the rooms. The people were quite nice and the room was clean. But the area is not safe. Our car was vandalized. The vandals drilled a hole in the gas tank and syphoned off all the gas. The hotel claims to have security, but clearly it is not enough. If you arrive by a ride service or a friend drops you off, I'd say the place is great. But you don't want to leave your car there overnight.

I recently stayed here for one night and checked in late once I arrived the lady at the desk sign me in and once I was signing in more people came at the door and she would not let them in and forced them to wait outside until she was finished with me which took a good 10 minutes watching these people stand by the door. Meanwhile phone calls were coming and asking for rooms and she would very rudely answer the phone and hang up on people. When I finally got my room card I went to the room and tried to get in the room but the car did not work and then I heard of every angry voice on the other side of the door saying someone was in there the lady at the desk gave me a key card to that room with the number of the room with somebody already in there. Finally I had to go back to the room and explain the situation she did correct it and then give me a room with nobody inside of it but still this was very embarrassing and potentially dangerous.

At first, it looks a little weary, but it actually was not bad for the price. Rooms are really clean, and a good size plus dogs are welcomed. They have refrigerators and microwaves. The front desk was really nice. Our maid Ashley did a fabulous job cleaning up our room. I wanted to say thank you, and we appreciate you! I definitely would stay again.

Would love to rate higher, but be warned.. If you book the Suite Room 301, it's located just above a major intersection. Nonstop traffic noise all night long. Loud mufflers and drag racing kept me up most of the night. Next time I'll request a room much further away from the street. I will definitely return to this property especially when I have a flight to catch, the airport is less than 5 minutes away.

Very unhappy with our stay. We had checked in at a late time, got settled only to find out that one of our rooms did not have any heat. The temperature was in the 30’s outside and basically felt the same in the room. When letting the front desk know, they did try and resolve it by offering to switch rooms yet this was impossible to do for my husband is on peritoneal dialysis and he was already hooked up and in the middle of his dialysis run. We were then given a ton of blankets which did get us through the night warm thank goodness, yet we’re then awaken earlier than what we had planned by pounding on the door (this was around 930! And checkout was not until 1100! ) by house keeping asking if we were checking out???? Unfortunately there were no door tags provided for either of our rooms so both parties in my rooms were waken up to what sounded like police pounding on a door! Very unprofessional, discerning and unacceptable! Come checkout I inquired about getting some kind of discount to offset having a room without any heat- I was told that a manager would give me a call…. Low and behold, it’s been 5 days and NO ONE has called to resolve this. Didn’t even want to give one star except that the guy at the front desk did what he could to help us not freeze through night. Very disappointed and disheartened. ☹️

Honestly I normally let things slide, but this place really sucked. Got off Calf Canyon, just wanted a hot shower anf bed before my flight home. Arrive to the front door locked because the only person working had to run shuttles too? Person gets back, customer service sucks. Get a room.. Go to open my room and there's someone already in it. Carry all my gear back down to the lobby, almost miss the front desk person because they are going to run a shuttle again. Acts like I'm an inconvenience. Finally get squared away with a room that is not occupied by a random person. Go down in the morning, new front desk person answers multiple phone calls with me standing right there(customer in front of you should always take precedence). Takes so long I actually just book an Uber that arrives before I can even ask about the hotel shuttle. All in all 10/10 would not reccomend. I'd rather sleep in the dirt at fire camp.

The room is really nice. The only issue is the cleaning lady use the restroom in our room put the lid down without flushing and the room smell like piss as soon we walk in. The price was not like online really bad presentation. The clerk wasn't motivated, he look he didn't wanted to be at work at all. Sorry but is one of the worst Inn I ever stayed. Never again. Don't deserve a 3 star. The shower doesn't have pressure and gets clogged. Is really small. The bed is great the room is OK but never again. This inn sucks.

My grandparents stayed in this hotel (they’re not ones to complain) but asked for and we’re told they were getting a handicapped room. As they are handicapped accessible. They came home to tell us that the room was NOT handicapped, the tub was hard to get in and out of almost impossible (I thought handicapped was supposed to be lower by code or be a shower). Then they said their facilities were so tiny like a child’s restroom and they hurt their backs and knees trying to use it. My grandparents are in their 80s and not able get around easily and we really don’t appreciate that they were so uncomfortable for a small weekend getaway.

The bed was amazingly comfortable, I got a great night's sleep. The air conditioning was nice and cold. Then I got a hot shower in the morning and the water pressure was very strong. I feel very refreshed. The employees were also very polite and helpful, one gentleman gave us a ride directly to the car rental place. I have always liked La Quinta hotels, and this one did not disappoint. Keep up the great work!

Floors were dirty, like they had never been dusted. If you wanna microwave, you have to pay extra. Curtains had holes in them. overall outside need a lot of work paint chipping off of doors, standing watering parking lot and it wasn't even raining. What I like the most about it was how convenient it was to the balloon park. It was Also convenient too many restaurants. My children really enjoyed the breakfast. Staff at the front desk was very rude to staff cleaning rooms in the presence of all of the people eating breakfast in the morning. It was very disheartening.

I first stayed at this property in October 2020, during the heart of the pandemic and the property was badly in need of renovation then. I was told by a manager that because of the pandemic, they couldn't get contractors to do the work. Well, they apparently still can't get contractors to do the work and the property is still in need of renovation. The attached photos are from room 138 from stay on 5/18/2023. Addendum to owner after reply: The shower/tub issue was discovered in the morning, shortly before check out. As for the other issues raised, you can't very well renovate a room in the middle of one's stay. The desk clerk who checked us out had an "oh well" attitude when the room issues were reported.

The construction is a total disaster There are weired people lurking in the parking lot. I had to Punch the door lock with my hands to close the door. I can't believe they charge 100 plus for this. First time visiting Albuquerque, and I'm between jobs. So I'm watching what I spend. Never stay here again. It's just 1 night and I will just deal with it

These were the cleanest rooms I have seen in a long time in a hotel!!!!! Everyone was so nice and smiling! Even one of the maids was cleaning the room next to us and when we left he told us “good morning” & “have a wonderful day” with the brightest smile!! Great service definitely will be staying here everytime I come to Albuquerque!!!

The motel was great all the way around my wife and I booked a room with a side company and they said it had no deposit we got there and there was a 100 dollar deposit with no refunds the front clerk helped us stay by knocking 50dollars off the deposit and it was a great room with a great night sleep and a great breakfast. It was a great place to stay and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a great place and night's sleep. Thanks again and keep up the great rooms

This is my second visit. TV both times does not work properly. Change the channel and it gives you wrong channel. Lights and plug ins don't work properly. Only lights that work was by the bed and then would not turn off. Elevator is outside in the back of the building. I felt like I did excessive walking in the heat. Thank goodness the air works.

This is a very poor version of LaQuinta. I would NOT recommend this location or ever stay here again. The rooms open to the parking lot, not from an interior hallway. The lobby is hard to find as it is under construction & the lobby drive up/main entry is closed. The lobby itself is small and empty, except for the desk. An overwhelming fragrance was being used in the lobby & made me ill as I have a fragrance allergy. Since it's over 100°, the room doors have swelled & have to be slammed to close them. The traffic noise from the major intersection is very noticeable in the room. Both make it a very stressful stay with a dog. The "pet area" is an ill-maintained patch of gravel, dirt, and weeds. I have no idea if there's a pool or a gym or laundry area; I was not told. I had to go ask where an ice machine is. This building very obviously used to be a motel 6 or a super 8. It is not at all up to the standards I've come to expect from several stays per year at LaQuintas across the country. On the hotel's app, It should be emphasized that a location has exterior room entry. I would never have stayed here had I known.

Very old . Needs upgraded. Staff was awesome. Disappointed pool did not have a hot tub like their sister Hotels. The people in the pool were letting baby swim without a diaper. So kinda gross. Plus not a trash can in sight so the dirty diaper by the pool. We left the pool . Ugh .Not the staffing fault. Just needs huge upgrade for the price.

Location (5 minutes from the airport) is great. Service is amazing too (good breakfast items included, staff is attentive and practical, ride to the airport, etc). But the rooms definitely need improvement. The price paid for them don’t match the very cheap-motel-look they have. I hope they get better.

I saw many bad comments and was hesitant to try this place at first, but I gave it a chance because of the price and location. I had a good stay. Room could use some minor work, but it didn't affect me or my family. The staff was very good, they shuttled us to the airport, no complaint, I'd definitely go back.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and had a pleasant experience with the staff. We arrived just after midnight due to late flight. Walked in to inquire about a room for 2. The receptionist hemmed and look right at us and said we require a $100 dollar deposit so your stay will be $215. I was curious on knowing why and if this a new policy since we had stayed there 2 mo prior and this was not mentioned. She informed me it was for incidentals? I looked around noting there is NOTHING to purchase and no amenities there. We were confused but agreed. I then inquired about a government rate. She said yes but needed my government ID. I presented it to her and she wrote down my government #. Things got really strange with wrong room # on keys to AM check out, I asked for a print out of our bill. There was no government discount and according to day shift receptionist they do not offer such a thing. The rooms were clean, bathtub didnt drain, but they dont always know that kind of stuff.Doors with glass really needed to be cleaned... they were filthy as they were last time.

This is the absolute worst La Quinta hotel I've ever stayed in . A cockroach in the room was greeting us on our first day so that was an indication of things to come . First off we were willing to overlook some things due to the fact we were aware they were in the middle of a remodel. however we were expecting certain things like breakfast being offered like at the hundreds of nights me and my family have stayed in La Quinta inn's over the years . But out of date cereal and empty refrigerator's was not to the minimum one would expect. There was an event in town that was used as an excuse to jack up the nightly rent but very few people actually stayed here other than crackheads and alcohol consuming rabble . So do your self a favor and stay elsewhere. There was some kind people that work there but the managing staff are a nightmare that are just wanting to separate you from your cash while doing less than the bare minimum to actually earn it .

Comfy bed, clean room. Older hotel with all exterior doors. Typical continental breakfast. Overall a good stay. (Couldn't find an ice machine and limited outlets for phone charger.)

Just a mediocre stay for the price. What was really annoying was that I made sure I found a place to stay that had a pool open for me & my daughter. The posted pool hours are 9am-9pm, around 5pm I heard people playing in the pool, around 7pm I decided to go down with my child just to find out that it’s locked and closed down early and when I went to go ask why, they really didn’t have a reason just that they closed it. So that was lame. The breakfast was mediocre and I kind of laughed when they have a sign that says they strongly request that guest don’t take the breakfast food to their room. Lol okay??? Beds were comfortable, the room could use a little more dusting
