In short, it’s a dump. The only good thing was reception. She was very quick and polite. And the laundry worked. The rooms? 0 ⭐️ 1. ‘Towel shortage’- 1 towel for 3 people! 2. No trash cans in room. They deliberately don’t put them in the room. I was afraid to ask why. But she gave me a trash bag 😳 3. No toilet seat in one room and 5 pesty flies 4. Both rooms had cigarette stains on bathtub and sink, dusty floor, nasty ceiling, broken door frame from someone previously having kicked in door, mirrors smeared, curtains with burned cigarette holes. Sorry Motel 6. But you really expect a 5 star review for that? The only good thing you have going is your polite and patient receptionist.

This was the filthiest room I have ever seen. The picture on the website looked decent, but when I saw the actual room, I couldn't believe it. The bed had stains. The pillow cases were dirty and there was hair on them. I don't think they had even attempted to clean them. The entire room was dirty and looked nothing like the website. I was afraid to sit on the bed for fear of bed bugs. I went to the office and promptly checked out and went to another hotel. They had the audacity to charge my credit card even though I didn't stay. These people should be turned into the health department for operating such an unclean establishment.

By far the worst motel six. And I’ve stayed at a good amount of Motel 6s. I couldn’t stay here. I tried to give it a try, but it was just giving sketchy vibes. I was taken aback that I had to give $100 deposit even though I had to give my credit card And I am a my six member. The first room I got smelt so much like smoke and it did not pass the black light test. There were stains everywhere, and I didn’t even have to use my black light to see that. There was no TV in the rooms. When I told the person at the front that I couldn’t stay in the first room they moved me to another room and it didn’t pass the black light test either. It was very obvious that they were trying to cover up the smell with these small air fresheners that sat inside of the heater. Something was wrong with the door. I couldn’t open it and it was so hard to close it. Lots of men from construction stay here, so it was uncomfortable, because I was traveling alone. Just about every room I walked by looks like the guest had made it their house. There are sticks in the windows, and everybody kept looking as I walked by suspicious of me. When I couldn’t find parking at first where I can see my vehicle, I didn’t like it. Some people were just walking around the halls and I had no idea what their intentions were of being outside as I didn’t see them smoking and they just seem to be walking around. The person at the front knew I think that the rooms were not in good condition, so it was easy for me to get a refund right on the spot as I didn’t even use the rooms. I ended up having to stay at another Motel 6 in Midtown and that was a lot better.

As other reviews have stated, this was the worst Motel 6 as well as any other motel I've ever experienced. I arrived late evening to find a parking lot full of cars with people inside smoking pot, drinking and creating a negative environment. I was nervous about leaving my rental car in the lot. If it wasn't so late, I would have gone somewhere else. In hindsight, I should have slept in the car if I had to. Then, after waiting 15 minutes for the clerk to finish checking and chatting up two women he finally got to me. First, he couldn't find my reservation and told me I was at the wrong location, which was not true. Then I was told that my reservation had been cancelled despite a prepaid reservation through Expedia. I showed him the receipt for a prepaid room and he ended up getting someone on the phone to help, because he needed all the help he could get. After about 25 minutes, he "found" a room and gave me the key card. At this time it was about 1:00 AM. The room reeked of smoke and was generally pretty nasty. I checked for bed bugs and kept my luggage high off the floor. Fortunately the bed was okay and the toilet worked. Avoid this place at any cost. William Becker and Paul Greene were the founders of Motel 6 and I'm sure this was not how they envisioned the future. Shame on the owners.

This establishment is a prime illustration of the adage "you get what you pay for." In search of a budget-friendly option for sleep and shower, I found it to be reasonably priced. However, I must admit that the room was subpar and unclean. To cope, I ended up sleeping in my rain jacket and tights due to the uncomfortable conditions. The overall decor seemed quite outdated, and the state of the shower was far from satisfactory, prompting me to skip using it. If you're in need of a convenient and low-cost place to rest and funds are tight, it's a viable choice. Nevertheless, if you have the means to spend a bit more, I would advise against selecting this location. The lady that checked me in was awesome I think she was the highlight

When ever I’m having any type of housing problems they always have a room open and waiting! And there prices are definitely the best!! This is always my 1st choice and always will be! I will definitely be back!!!****

If I can give zero stars for this motel and be able to write a review I would. Anyway, on September 26 I rented a room for 2 nights, it looked decent when I went in. Fast forward to 5am I woke up to a pinch on my back. I jumped up and there were 3 little bed bugs I squashed one to take a picture. I went to the front desk and talked to the most rude lady ever, one employee asked to see my back I lifted my shirt and right in plain sight she saw a bug bite. First Lady wanted me to go hang out with the bed bugs till 10 I said hell no. She landed up giving me a different room I asked her please not upstairs since I had all of my work stuff with me and it was a lot. She landed up giving me a room on the second floor with NO ELEVATOR, I was expecting to get all my stuff treated for bed bugs but the lady told me no they will not treat my stuff for bed bugs. I was on my way downstairs to retrieve my things and landed up slipping and falling on the stairs, I broke both of my ankles spent 8 days in the hospital and another 20 days in physical therapy hospital. I tried calling to talk to a manager they refused to talk to me I got called a liar a few times out of all of this I just wanted a refund for the both nights I paid because first night I got bite by bugs, 2nd night I didn’t stay there I was in the hospital. It’s very sad to go to a place to get some rest and land not getting no rest at all not even stay in the second night and she called a liar not getting my money back. This is the worst place I’ve ever in my life stayed..

We reserved our room ahead of time. When we got here they put us in a room that wasn’t even cleaned. Then they switched rooms gave us a room with one bed we told them there was three of us. They put us back in dirty room. We just needed a place to sleep so we settled in our messy room. All three of us are disabled one more time they switched us again put us in a room upstairs after we told them we were settled in already. Girl up front had no idea what she was doing. We had to struggle to go upstairs. No help Was given by this time we were upset. We were going to leave to another hotel but we’re told we couldn’t get our deposit of 100 to us till next day so we were forced to stay. I always stay at motel 6 but never staying at this one again.

Well…. I wouldn’t say we actually slept there. When we arrived two homeless people were fighting and throwing rocks. Our room was dirty when we arrived. The sheets had hair and makeup stains on them. The microwave had residue all over it. The bathroom was missing the exterior door handle and the light above the sink. There was tissue shoved in the peepholes. Cigarette burns on EVERYTHING. Reception was nice but that seemed to be the only thing nice about the place at all.

This place was so nasty we had two rooms 128 and 124 the floors wear unswept they had bed bugs, the air conditioner was so plugged with stuff it Barely could put out. There was hair in the bed with the sheets and in the sink and tub it is nothing like the pictures one room only had one pillow and a sheet so we went to ask for a pillow and a blank but they didn't have any. The tv did work. But most definitely you felt so unsafe being there. The ice machine didn't work. The pool was not available. Plus instead of coming inside, you had to stand outside even to check in. Piceline definitely didn't do there job. We used Motel 6 all the time. After this we will not be customers.

Online they have 7 rooms available for $60 including taxes. I called the front desk to see if we would be allowed an early check in. The lady working put me on hold for 15 minutes to ask someone. She then said the room I wanted was not available until 3pm. She tried to offer me a room with a fridge and microwave with two beds for check in at 7am. When I asked the total price she just said “more” and transferred me to book a reservation where I was again, put on hold for another 15 minutes. Not helpful at all. Definitely not staying here just for the lack of knowledge and poor customer service received via phone. Good luck, there is a super 8 right across the street.

We didn't stay at this motel. My husband wouldn't even allow me to leave our vehicle. He made me stay in the car & lock the doors while he went in to check out the room ... then went direcrly to the front office and canceled our reservation. It's in a very "seedy" part of town and the guests we saw were not the kind of people we wanted to be around ... seriously. The building is old and not well kept. The office staff was nice enough - but not nice enough to take a chance leaving our vehicle, overnight, and unattended in a dimly lit parking lot. We spent about 30-45 minutes searching for a new hotel that was pet-friendly, and finally found one in a much safer part of town. Neither of us understand the great reviews - but to each his own. Good luck with this place.

Dirty rooms; unswept floors with sticky spots, trash still in the trashcan, dirty toilet, hair in the sheets, non smoking room had burn marks in the floor, burned hole in the sheet, and strong marijuana smell, A/C filter visibly nasty like it hadn't been changed in years, TV didn't work, no refrigerator or microwave or anything, very dubious clientele (some doors looked like they'd been broken into), and we even overheard people nearby loudly complaining of finding bedbugs! We stayed the night because we were exhausted and luckily found no signs of bedbugs in our room at least, but we had already booked two nights before seeing the room 😬. The only good thing is we were able to get a refund for the second night and the staff in the morning for the refund were friendly and understanding.

Room not yet cleaned, acceptable. No towels, acceptable. Annoying beeping from dead smoke detector batteries, I can handle it. Customer service... an absolute joke. Who rolls their eyes when a guest politely asks for towels that should've been in the room anyway?! We checked out early and went to a different hotel. It was that bad. No refund issued for the following day, even through we canceled in time and were told it would be issued. Avoid this place like the plague.

I chose this motel for a quick stop in town and to avoid a long drive early in the morning to the airport. This motel is not even worth such a quick stop. Almost everything in the room was dirty, the restroom, the linings, the floor. The smoke detector wasn't in place, probably removed by someone who smoke in the room, considering the small cigarette burns all over the desk. The absence of the detector raises also safety concerns. At least at the reception the check in was quick. But definitely I won't stop there again in the future. This place is worth adding the "0 stars" option on Google maps.

If at all possible stay away. The hotel is terrible. I have stayed in many motel 6 in my life and this one is the worse. Not sure what was worse the non-smoking room that smelt like a group of people just smoked a carten, the staff that can not be distributed, because they are doing something on their cell phone, or the area, which is rough. The ice machine was broke and their was leftovers in the frig. There was also cigarette burnt holes in our non-smoking room, blanket. All I can say, is I am 56years old, spent many many nights in motels, and I cannot think of another one that comes close to how bad this one it. If you have any other options, like sleeping in your car at a roadside park, I highly recommend you take it. Customer beware.

One star for easy check in. We got zero sleep here, the walls are paper thin and everything can be heard. Needles and glass in the parking lot when we were walking our dogs. Bug crawling on the sink, I should've known better than to book here but I figured one night on our road trip wouldn't be terrible. I was very very wrong.

This spot was all that was available because of the ongoing balloon fest and I was SO LUCKY to work with Emma at the front desk who got me and my dog totally set up. Honestly Emma is my hero. I had the HARDEST time trying to get a room in abq and Emma made sure it was taken care of. Check in was a breeze and Emma was very helpful and friendly. Listen y’all, it’s a motel. The rooms are not updated but they’re clean. SUPER close to the airport so its wildly convenient. Definitely gonna be staying here again. Cheap rooms are the best rooms!!!!

Am on my way to Missouri from San Diego. Decided to stop here for some sleep since it was cheap and next to the freeway. First the last behind the front desk is not very welcoming and seemed annoyed I was even there. Second they tell me no more rooms with TV (which is fine since I'm just gonna be sleeping for a few hours anyways), she hands me the room key and I go to the room. Can't seem to open so go back to the office to let them know. She tells me how to open the door and when I go back to get it open... Someone else is already in the room 😳 I go back to the office and let her know, she doesn't seem to believe but gives me another room. New room HAS a TV but reeks of cigarette smoke, sheets have stains and rips, walls look super torn up and the room honestly reminds me those horror movies where the people die or get watched in the motel room, which brings me to the last point. Third, pretty sure that the bathroom mirror was a one way mirror.. I did the finger test and failed. Definitely spend the extra money and go somewhere else!!!!

I went to take a shower as soon as i checked in and My towels were WET and the front desk lady said "oh sorry I don't know if we have any more towels and the cleaning ladies are already gone" and didn't even go look if there were towels for me. There were bugs in the room/shower. There was a cigarette burn in my sheets. And to top it all off there was a shooting that woke me up at 6 am and police barricaded the place till about 9 am. Unsafe and unclean. I wouldn't stay there again even if it was completely free

Parking lot looked like a homeless encampment, room was filthy and downright disgusting. Carpet box frames had black stuff on it... couldn't imagine what was in the flooring carpet. Bed sheets came pre-stained. Walked out and found another place to stay. I don't hold a motel 6 to a super high standard or anything but this place was disgusting. At least the staff wasn't rude. Not their fault the place needs remodeling

Horrible front desk service even with prior reservation. Disabled and asked for a bottom room. She put us, upstairs, no air conditioner and no pool open. Very unpleasant and unprofessional!!!! Rooms were filthy, with food, throw up and bugers on the wall. Discussed!!! TV didn't work. Do not stay here, unless you are desperate!

Do not stay here. Got no sleep. People outside our room fighting and wouldn't go away after we asked them to keep it down. Loud squealing noise possibly pipes all night. Someone tried to get into our room at one point. Female next door told us someone tried to break into her room. Gal at front desk was nice and seemed overworked. Lots of sketchy people hanging around outside. No toilet paper in the room. Only 3 towels in the room. Bathroom was gross. Toilet seat was broken. Would only shower there if I had a hazmat suit. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place. We left a day early and again same person at front desk was nice and worked with us on getting a refund. She was the only nice thing about this place!

While this was during the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival and some understanding can be given for the chaotic nature of the motel during this time, the sheer amount of things that went wrong indicate that attention to detail is a major place where things could be improved. We stayed two nights, and in between nights our room keys stopped working. It required two separate visits to the front office for all of our room keys to finally work. When going to the front office (twice!) to get the card keys for our rooms, they did not ask to see our IDs or any proof that we were staying in the rooms we claimed we did at all. Ironically, this was in deep contrast to when we first checked in, in which the front office attendants asked to see our IDs collectively at least a dozen times. That same night, when we returned back to the motel room after spending the day outside we found that one of the two beds was completely unmade and with a large wad of uncertain sheets on top. After taking apart the wad, we found three fitted sheets and four pillow cases -- no unfitted sheets at all. This required another visit to the front office to get a new set of sheets because of the uncertain nature/cleanliness of any of the wadded sheets, and upon the front desk attendant coming back to our room to deliver the sheets, she still brought two fitted sheets instead of one fitted and one unfitted! Running the A/C in the room would like to a foul smell coming in, as if the filter was completely clogged. When we first got our rooms, there were no toiletries of any kind (toilet paper, soap, shampoo/conditioner...). If the light above the sink was left on for too long, it would start to flicker considerably until turned off and, presumably, allowed to cool down. When we first attempted to check in, they attempted to give us a room with a single queen, even though our reservation had been for a room with two full size mattresses (with the reservation indicating that there were to be four individuals in the room). We ultimately needed to come back later in the evening for them to get us an appropriate room. The provided internet was piss-poor, but in this case I can chalk it up to the motel being entirely full (on account of the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival).

The room was not cleaned properly. The microwave had a bag of food left inside it from the client before. There was only 1 clean towel in the room ,no toilet paper in room had to request more of each. The clerks were very slow. It took about 45 minutes to check out. The beds had no top sheets between the bottom sheet & blanket. The floor was so filthy ,my feet got dirty walking from the shower to the bed. The TV was very dim and going out of order. The filter on the AC was filthy with dirt all over on it.The key did not work properly to the door so we would have to go to the office the first two days to have them fix it. The windows were dirty and the curtain did not hang properly. I will never stay at that location ever again ! The most awful motel to stay !

Staff told us to put a paper on our dashboard so we wouldn't get towed, and then STILL TRIED TO THREATEN TO TOW US because the owners "couldn't see the dashboard" on our truck. They were impatient about making sure we were out by checkout,to the point of calling twice and knocking on our door 30 minutes before checkout (even though we assured them the first call that we would be checking out). The room was filthy, with obvious disrepair that needs to be fixed before someone gets hurt. The lamps above the bed are barely hanging from the wall. The TV was coming out of the wall. The bathroom stank. The carpeted entrance was disgusting. The beds were as hard as rocks, and so uncomfortable that my spouse and I (both of us disabled) couldn't even sleep. They have ridiculous "rules" like they think their customers are teenagers. And half of the TV channels didn't even work lol. It's cheap, but that's it.

Honestly one of the better Motel 6 I've ever booked. Was rather clean, dog friendly ( my dog wasn't on the trip with me but it was cool to see dogs around) they have a nice snack bar in the office, maids are extremely nice and stock the place well. Conveniently located between airports Walmarts and a lot of restaurants allowing you to maximize your stay. Would highly recommend and use again when in new Mexico!

Property is in need complete overhaul from top to bottom. Landings need a good pressure cleaning. Trash cans were over flowing for days. Their was dirty towel in the bathroom and used soap on the sink in our room. Took 2 days to get a towel we were short. I doubt that management is going to change things the motel stays busy as is. But the poor condition reflects very poorly on the company and I will avoid motel 6 in the future.

Excellent stay. This Motel 6 is clean, safe, quiet and has a wonderful staff running it. Lavoia was warm, helpful and hospitable; made the check in process effortless; and took this stay from a 4 to 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this location for your next stay.

Emma was part of the night audit when I checked in early in the morning around 5:00 AM. She was very easy to talk to and had nothing but good vibes even though she was tired! We went to our room and it unfortunately was dirty. Bed not made, no towels, etc. I went back downstairs and told Motel 6’s night audit that the room was dirty and I wasn’t pleased. She then understood my frustrations and offered to let us go to another clean room or get an awesome discount for their inconvenience on the dirty room, we just decided to stay in the room. Instead of $92.00, we spent $ 64.00 instead!!! That was so helpful and thoughtful of Emma to consider doing that for us. We definitely aren’t in the safest part of town or hotel although the customer service I received from this individual will always reflect my experiences at Motel 6!

0/5. We left within an hour and a half (most of the time was spent at another hotel trying to find a new hotel). The location is god awful. This place is so sketchy. There’s a hole in the lobby’s front window, there was what looked like a homeless couple squatting outside the entrance of the building, small curly hairs in the shower, the floor was STICKY. I didn’t pull back the covers so I can’t comment on the bedding situation but I wouldn’t be surprised if the sheets were dirty. The parking lot is FILTHY. Like atrocious. I would rather sleep in my car with my spouse and 3 animals in a Walmart than ever step foot here again. The good reviews have to be fake…there’s no way they are real. The front desk woman was nice.

  • 5/5 Jennifer J. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms were decent only problems I had were the lighting and the door(did not lock). The service was excellent and they did their best to fix things that were broken with much haste. So for that I give them much appreciation and respect cuz they did fix it. Location is off the freeway so that is convenient but only downfall is that there is no gas stations or restaurants really close by. The closest one is half a mile away. They do offer room service.but it is from a different company And the housekeeping is good.

It was honestly fine. This was not our first choice, but our Airbnb double booked us and this was the only hotel within a 100 mile radius with a room available for less than $250/night during the balloon festival. For one night, I would’ve just pushed through and sucked up any problems, but for four nights, we just made sure we came prepared. After reading other reviews, we brought extra blankets, our own towels, and a plug in air freshener and really had no issues. We never felt unsafe, both staff and other guests were nice. I understand it’s not ideal to have to “come prepared” to stay at a hotel, but seeing as I’ve spent more money on a campsite with no running water or electricity, it was really fine.

The only thing I didn't like cause the staff was super friendly and the room wasn't all that cleaned but the ac worked and so did the t.v but I couldn't see the picture when I was sitting on the bed. I guess people have stolen them out of there so just the way it was bolted to the wall, the screen was just super dark. Anyways no pool😞, the beds were comfortable! I stayed two weeks and I thought it was the cheapest place in town! Thank you!

never seen such a bad motel 6. 1. When we checked in at 4:00 pm we had to wait 2 hours until finally a room was assigned. The room was a construction site it was being renovated. 2. After we got another room, the frustration was much bigger. Sticky floor, TV not working. No covers for the bed. 3. In the age of Covid 19 an impertinence. 4.Unfortunately I can't upload any pictures to prove the whole thing. 5. Whole fun cost us $166 (Balloon Fiesta). A bottomless cheek. 6. The whole staff is totally overwhelmed. Can't get anything done. 7. Who actually controls these employees? 8. If you don't want to catch any germs, then avoid this motel. 9. This motel mostly has bad reviews. 10. Then only a phrase with excuses is generated. What poor management. ***********MINUS 5 STARS******

Motel 6 is a franchise. I booked a room at this location, and my truck broke down in Gallup. I called the front desk and reservation line (they are not connected) to see if it was possible to stay at the Motel 6 in Gallup instead. They made it seem like it was a possibility to get my money back for this booking since I Chose to stay at another Motel 6. Long story short, I made several calls with the customer care line, who sent a request to this location (twice) for a refund, but it's up to the discretion of that location manager. I've left messages at the front desk, never a call back. Ghosted with no refund. Unprofessional. I had a bad situation, and if I knew I was going to get the runaround and pay Double for that night, I would've stayed somewhere else.
