While
this
was
during
the
Albuquerque
Hot
Air
Balloon
Festival
and
some
understanding
can
be
given
for
the
chaotic
nature
of
the
motel
during
this
time,
the
sheer
amount
of
things
that
went
wrong
indicate
that
attention
to
detail
is
a
major
place
where
things
could
be
improved.
We
stayed
two
nights,
and
in
between
nights
our
room
keys
stopped
working.
It
required
two
separate
visits
to
the
front
office
for
all
of
our
room
keys
to
finally
work.
When
going
to
the
front
office
(twice!)
to
get
the
card
keys
for
our
rooms,
they
did
not
ask
to
see
our
IDs
or
any
proof
that
we
were
staying
in
the
rooms
we
claimed
we
did
at
all.
Ironically,
this
was
in
deep
contrast
to
when
we
first
checked
in,
in
which
the
front
office
attendants
asked
to
see
our
IDs
collectively
at
least
a
dozen
times.
That
same
night,
when
we
returned
back
to
the
motel
room
after
spending
the
day
outside
we
found
that
one
of
the
two
beds
was
completely
unmade
and
with
a
large
wad
of
uncertain
sheets
on
top.
After
taking
apart
the
wad,
we
found
three
fitted
sheets
and
four
pillow
cases
--
no
unfitted
sheets
at
all.
This
required
another
visit
to
the
front
office
to
get
a
new
set
of
sheets
because
of
the
uncertain
nature/cleanliness
of
any
of
the
wadded
sheets,
and
upon
the
front
desk
attendant
coming
back
to
our
room
to
deliver
the
sheets,
she
still
brought
two
fitted
sheets
instead
of
one
fitted
and
one
unfitted!
Running
the
A/C
in
the
room
would
like
to
a
foul
smell
coming
in,
as
if
the
filter
was
completely
clogged.
When
we
first
got
our
rooms,
there
were
no
toiletries
of
any
kind
(toilet
paper,
soap,
shampoo/conditioner...).
If
the
light
above
the
sink
was
left
on
for
too
long,
it
would
start
to
flicker
considerably
until
turned
off
and,
presumably,
allowed
to
cool
down.
When
we
first
attempted
to
check
in,
they
attempted
to
give
us
a
room
with
a
single
queen,
even
though
our
reservation
had
been
for
a
room
with
two
full
size
mattresses
(with
the
reservation
indicating
that
there
were
to
be
four
individuals
in
the
room).
We
ultimately
needed
to
come
back
later
in
the
evening
for
them
to
get
us
an
appropriate
room.
The
provided
internet
was
piss-poor,
but
in
this
case
I
can
chalk
it
up
to
the
motel
being
entirely
full
(on
account
of
the
Albuquerque
Hot
Air
Balloon
Festival).
