The door to the room (251) was not latched when the door was opened, and would not stay closed without slamming. There were homeless wandering in the parking lot, and others wandering talking to themselves, and a extremely strong pot smell. At 11:30 pm, while we were sleeping, the room behind us started extremely loud music. We called the front desk several times, and finally got a response that they would check on the noise. The music continued and called the front desk again several times before we got a response, and they said there was no loud music and started to yell at my wife. My wife asked that the front desk person come to the room and they refused. I suspect that they did not leave the office to check on the complaint. We then packed our luggage and loaded our vehicle to leave and went to the front office to check out. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude again, telling us that there was no loud music, and yelling at us for complaining. We asked for our money back and she refused. We have opened a dispute with our credit card company to get a refund.

Every horrible review on here underestimates how you would sleep better spending fifty more dollars somewhere else just knowing your car will be there in the morning. It's almost 1am and there are more people stirring around than Fremont Street in Vegas on a Saturday night. I bet at least 3 people will check to see if my doors on the car are locked. On a bright note... the night clerk was so nice. He helped us decide on switching to a queen bed from a king because the room was the closest to being updated. Maybe the 2 sheets on the bed were enough for us to sleep through the night. I sure wished I packed a blanket. At least the ice machine worked. Apparently it was broken 3 months ago. I can't wait to try the shower in the morning. Wonder what surprises are in store for us. I'm going to finish this review, lay my phone on the floor (because there is hardly any furniture), and try to sleep while waiting for my car alarm to go off in the middle of the night.

Nothing was clean. Pros: hot water and a lock on the door. Cons: dirty floors, sheets, shower, and sink. No microwave, water pressure, fridge, or place to put clothes (closet, dresser, desk, or even a chair). There was a strong smell of smoke both in and out side of the room. Had cut marks from a large knife all over the floor.

There were cigarette holes in the bed linens.. The shower leaked at a steady drip all night long.. The front desk people were not friendly. You. You definitely get what you pay for here you're.

I wish I could give 0 stars... This place is the worst. Made reservations online for 2 rooms for a week. After that we wanted to add a few more nightd They wanted us to check out and then check in again in order to stay more nights... So the charged me another $50 per room for the deposit.. Only refunded 1 deposit.. They randomly charged my card like $255 said it was a mistake because it was the wrong card on file.. We went to add 2 more nights to our room l. The lady snapped and said that was the last time we could add more. Nights... Had us check in and out again! Charged another $50 per room deposit.. They are very rude.. ... They really don't care. Still missing a $50 refund. Just don't stay here.. And if you have to stay here I'm sorry.

Nice rooms but they don't care about the customers at all. Was supposed to check in at 3 two different times and both times we couldn't check in till 4. Other than that the room was clean and nice. Not the best area in town though. You have weird people walking around. Had a knock on the door by a random person. Even had a naked woman sitting outside in the staircase area. Not a family friendly motel

When we got our rooms they were still being cleaned, the door didn’t close and the beds are disgusting, with very thin pillow and only 1 pillow per bed. Not to mention, no towels. The only thing that was good was the low price and the no pet fee.

Absolutely terrible, unprofessional and rude front desk staff. He introduced himself as Isaac, with the name Brad on the sleeve of the hoodie. I was not given the room I booked. After that I waited about 25 minutes while this front desk man looked for some other room. And after that, it turned out to be necessary to make a deposit of $150 (with a room price of $60). And after all this, the front desk man just said that I would not rent you a room. I travel a lot around the country. I have something to compare. This is one of the worst motels ever. Never choose this place!

Homeless and crackheads. Stay away! Sketchy people everywhere. Pool has no water in it, I’ve machine broken, air conditioner isn’t getting very cold. Will definitely pay more attention before booking a motel 6 again. And then they charge a $50 deposit?!?! Yeah, spend a little more money and go somewhere else.

Says $55, but they will get more out of you one way or another. I got to ABQ at 2:20am and got a room for $75 9best they could do, plus $50 deposit paid cash. I heard others say 12 o'clock check out. I tidied the spartan, and went to office 11:50am Cute young fellow I wanted to flirt with suddenly became shrill and scolded me that it was 11am, cost ing me half of my deposit.. I begged him, I was on a long journey after my mom's funeral and didn't know if I had enough to get home. I asked to speak w mgr, but If we called the manager, he said, "I might have to pay even more" - so accept the $25? After pleading for my money, telling him my situation, and how I cleaned the room myself for the maids, he went to inspect the room. Then he offered to charge $15, got him down to $10, and he finally settled on $5. So I got $45 back. It felt like being in a refugee camp w parked cars. The furnishing are as basic as you can get. I did not have a pleasant morning. My bank credit card was compromised the next day on a dating site (not sure if this is connected, but the timing was suspicious) One plus - McDonalds is next door and Einstein bagel is across the street and the roads were much better heading west.

This is the ghetto!!! The worst hotel I've ever stayed at in the whole country!!! Wished I could get my money back the 71 dollars that was charged is insane considering right when I walked in the room there was a blood stain on the bed and the covers were disgusting. I was greeted by three huge roaches 🪳🪳🪳 I. This place needs to be knocked down!!!! I definitely don't feel safe!!!

Unsafe place! Stopped with my wife and baby and the parking lot was full of hookers, drug dealers and shady people. The bathroom was dirty. With hairs in the shower. The beds were ok, did the job but if you can get another place that you can feel safe.

Stayed here last week Wednesday to Thursday on a business trip and to say that I was horrified with my stay is an understatement. There were roaches and ants.. room had a funky smell. Had trouble sleeping due to hearing dogs barking..people yelling and arguing all day and night. Motel staff were not the nicest either….I’ll never stay at a Motel 6 again. Especially not when I come to Albuquerque..I’ll be taking my business to Los Poblanos downtown.

The face place on the room lock was bent making the door hard to open. The knob in the shower didn't work, so I couldn't get warm water for a shower. Ended up having to skip the shower because it would have been in cold water. The wi-fi never worked. The neighbor is awful. Run down commercial area. You know it's bad when next door Waffle House is closed. A number of homeless people wandered around the area. Found one smoking crack by the stairwell.

This place is VERY loud, not only from the highway but the walls are so thin it sounds like the neighbors are opening our door whenever they’re opening their own. The beds are also extremely firm and uncomfortable, which I expected anyway. But the noise and the discomfort did not allow for great sleep, which is the point of the motel. The main saving graces were the staff and cleanliness. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The room was cleaned very well. Another positive from motel 6 is that they allow pets with no additional fees, these few positives boosts my review quite a bit.

I’ve been to countless motels around the country, and the woman working here was by far the nastiest and rudest worker ive ever met. She kept trying to tell me my card had declined, although i had been charged. This may have been a simple mistake that we could have resolved, but she quickly became rude and even raised her voice at me after I questioned why she wanted me to call online to fix the issue, instead of just doing it there. She smirked and almost laughed when I questioned further. I just left and found a motel further along the road. I will NEVER return and I cannot understand how this woman even has a job. Please do not go here.

Horrible Hotel. There were cockroaches in the bathtub, the door was broken, when I got there at 9:00 PM there was a crime scene investigation. Bed Bugs. My room was facing a wall, the window was open when I came in and I could hear people in the rooms beside me. The only reasons I stayed there was because of the balloon fiesta and the Eclipse.

Clean ok rooms but most of the services weren’t available at the time of my visit. Closed pool, no breakfast, no coffee and no working internet. The location doesn’t help either, lots of very colorful characters which you probably want to avoid. Within walking distance there’s a commercial area with supermarkets and other useful businesses.

Deserves no stars, beds are horrible, bugs crawling , even had an butt print on my head board where it wasn't cleaned at all , along with hands prints , don't stop here not including all the drug activity here and in the parking lot all night long , just keep driving

First of all the guy at front desk came in from outside after we’ve been waiting for about 5 minutes and I think they should always be at the desk. Second of all it’s kind of ridiculous they ask for a $50 deposit for such dirty rooms. They need to get better housekeepers or they just need to remodel the place. The curtains were so dirty, not even the color they’re supposed to be anymore and the beddings had holes, it looked like they were burnt. Definitely regretted staying at this place and definitely don’t recommend staying here.

Would not recommend. The front desk was okay not very nice but what really bugged me was the woman next to me. While reading some reviews I come to find out her name was Tophia? I believe this was the woman or man I encountered while having my stay here for one night. I could barely sleep due to the noises coming from her room, she kept yelling at some woman who I think is her mother and the room would just have unnecessary rants coming from their room. Her hotel number was 262 (I believe) and you do not want to stay here if your room number is next to her. Regardless of that, the stay was okay but the motel wasn’t as clean as it showed in the pictures.

No frills motel, would stay again. Best part is no pet fee! I was allowed to check in early with no extra fee, this was much appreciated after our long drive! I will say the property is a bit run down, door had a bit of difficulty locking but I got it. Since I was only here for the night no biggie. I say again, clean, accommodating and inexpensive. I will consider Motel 6 brand again for single overnight stays.

Half of the hotel isn't being used, so it makes it a little confusing. I think they could clean there rooms a little better. The ac started making a weird noise. It wasn't my room I was just visiting. Definitely would have said something if it was mine but my friends didn't care. Just happy to have a hot shower and a bed to sleep in.

It was very dirty, there was no towels and when I asked the office for some they wouldn't give us any! They said I should have asked when We first checked in, I told them I did ask for some and the girl said she would bring us some but never did, so we wasn't even able to shower.

Doors you had to slam shut to latch, along with the neighbors doors. Very annoying late at night. Room was basic and clean for most part. Shower was decent.

Would not recommend if you have your car loaded with things or if you’re a solo traveler. The area around the motel has a lot of homeless people who seem to be on drugs, so I didn’t feel confident that someone wouldn’t break into my car while I was sleeping. The room was ok, what you would expect for a motel: hard bed, dirty sheets, okay water (a bit smelly when first coming out of pipes) and in okay condition. Our room was clean but because the finishes are worn down, I couldn’t help but feel that it wasn’t the cleanest. The temperature was hard to regulate, we were either too hot or too cold which made it hard for sleeping. It gets two stars for the convenience of location from the highway and that it was relatively quiet for sleeping. I also didn’t see any cockroaches which I know was mentioned in other reviews.

On 11/12/22 I had the worst experience with this particular motel 6 in Albuquerque, NM Over the weekend I had booked my reservation online. When I went to the front desk behind the window the lady behind the window told me that my room wasn’t ready until 3pm. I had kindly asked her if She could place the money back on my card so that I could stay somewhere else that already had a room available for one night. The lady behind hind the window said they couldn’t do that since my reservation was made online. I asked the lady my room won’t be ready until 3pm right!? Lady behind the window said yes that’s right I remember telling her I’ll be back around 3pm. After leaving the property. I called back about 5-6 minutes after only to make sure I still had a reservation the lady said that she already canceled my reservation because I told her to witch was a lie. I tried to calmly to explain to her how I said I’d be back around 3pm. Then next thing I know The lady was getting rude, hateful & short with me yelling at me over the phone so bad to the point that I couldn’t get a word in next thing I know all of a sudden while the lady was going off on me over the phone that’s when things started to get serious and the lady begins to Threaten me right over the phone it was like as if her attitude towards me had gone off like a bomb when things got this serious For my own safety. I immediately hung the phone on her. I will be contacting her Manager to report her Disturbed Behavioral towards the paying customers and about her threatening me… BEWARE: Of this Motel 6 in Albuquerque, NM.. I strongly recommend you all take your business somewhere else where they respect the customers and has friendly service to All. Thank you for reading

This was literally the worst stay I've ever had at a Motel 6. First, we reserved an ADA room online and it still took the front desk about 25 minutes to check us in - not to mention the over 45 minutes to help the two guests in front of us (one of which also had reservations and was nearly overcharged). The front desk lady looked higher than a kite - could barely keep her eyes open and slurred her words. She told us she was working a double so... Then she tried to activate our key card three different times, while complaining about the equipment the whole time. Our door would not open and I had to go back to the front desk to have it reactivated. (I have mobility issues and this was very inconvenient.) The neighbor came out and helped us - said he had the same problem and it takes at least three tries to get the door open. Inside the room, the tub was not ADA - high step in tub and no hand rails. The TV was on but no volume and no remote anywhere in the room. I called the front desk and was told she couldn't bring it to me because there was no one else on duty. (I figured out how to use the buttons on the bottom of the TV.) There was less than a half a roll of TP in the room and no refills, for two of us. There were no hand towels, only two larger towels. The light in the bathroom was not working (looking closer I could see the bulb was literally broken). I walked away from my drink and came back to a roach on the cup. Oh and there was only one trash can in the whole room.

I am disabled and my elderly mom not in a wheel chair but need a handicap room. No counter space. No trash can in bathroom. The shower seat dirty. No table like room picture handicap people do like the same things. There is a bed. A chair under where you hang clothes 1 night stand 1 towel, med towels and 1 wash cloth. People should complain to the licensing board. I am filing for discrimination against the disabled. Than to charge us more when the room says $48 than tells me that’s if I book it online. I didn’t see anything saying that. Motel 6 is going down hill

The staff were available quick and helpful. However, the room was barely able to lock with the door shut all the way. Our room key stopped working the second night and I had to get it reissued. Also on arrival there were people lingering around in the parking lot and near the cars. Did not feel 100% safe traveling as a woman or even unloading my car in the middle of the night. Room wasn’t terrible but there isn’t a comforter and no microwave. Did not want to shower at that hotel but it was fine for the quick stay. I would stay somewhere else next time.

  • 3/5 Mama T. 1 year ago on Google
I mean, it's a Motel 6 🤷🏾‍♀️. It wasn't terrible. I've seen a terrible Motel 6! This one was okay. The shower was old. I could tell that they were continually trying to preserve the shower by covering up rust with caulk. At that point it's time to replace the doors or the whole damn shower. Otherwise the room was decent. I didn't really like the walkway on the top floor. I use a cane and the walkway was cracked and narrow. That made it difficult to walk with the cane and pull my small suitcase. So that's definitely a thumbs down, 👎🏾. For $75 for one night I would expect a little bit more... just a little bit more.

DO NOT STOP OR STAY HERE Absolutely awful, this place is disgusting. First room had stained nasty sheets with holes, second room wasn’t much better, side table dirty and broken, towel rack not even hung straight and the outlet under the tv was dangerously loose. Front desk clerk lied about room availability when I called, and when I got there magically only had one room until I complained it was dirty then magically had a second room. All night people were outside loud, some yelling, some fighting and a lot of door slamming. I paid $75 to get no sleep and be scared my car would be broken into. Again stay anywhere else, this place is a complete utter trash dump. in response to the "owners" reply, I would sleep in my car in a rest stop or a truck stop, before I would ever spend money at this location ever again, I would feel safer and cleaner. Motel 6 chain should be ashamed their name is on the building.
