If I could leave less than one star it would be more accurate. I didn't expect the Ritz for $80 a night but you couldn't pay me $80 to sleep in this place for a night. I've never had such a terrible motel experience. Once I finally got my room, it was like someone had been living in it. The bed was stripped of all covers except for one dirty blanket, the mattress was so filthy it was brown with darker brown strains on it. The trash was over flowing, the sink was stained , the TV was on. I should have taken pictures but I was so grossed out that it didn't occur to me. When I went down to the front desk the girl just asked if I needed new bedding. I asked for a different room. The next room had been cleaned at least but it smelled to badly of cigarette smoke it wasn't even tolerable. I ended up getting a refund and staying the comfort inn downtown (which was lovely.) The costumer service was speedy at processing my refund. I'm sure I'm not the first. This place should be condemned. Not an exaggeration.

In my oft travels lately, I have never experienced this. When I checked in, the clerk handed me my towels, and that should have been a clue. The room was clean enough, and I noticed the damp floor in the bathroom as though someone just mopped. The beds were made. There was no refrigerator, no coffeemaker, no trash receptacle, no facial tissue, no soap and no microwave oven. But I'm just here to sleep so it's no big deal. I proceeded to take off my jacket but there were no coat hangers or hooks of any type. So as I sat on the bed to eat my cold leftover lasagna, I noticed a fresh stain and a human hair on the sheet, so I moved over to the other bed and threw off the cover just to find a quarter and some more human hairs. After much deliberation, I decided to march to the office to ask for another room, but suspecting I might not be better off, I asked for someone to change the sheets on one of the beds instead. The clerk was in a hurry to shut me up, fearing customers in the lobby were listening in, but at least I got clean sheets. Oh did say that the reason I marched to the office was because the phone didn't work? And of course the TV was unplugged and the remote control had some type of food residue on it. When the heater ran, it also blew dust. And the light by the nightstand had one out of two bulbs working.

Booked a room...should have scouted the parking lot first. This is a crack house. Period. Management has allowed drug addicts and homeless to LIVE under the staircases and loiter around the property at will - this is not a safe place to stay to stay and obviously the management has absolutely no concern for the safety of patrons. It is a cesspool that gives the brand a tarnished name. Currently advising the management to refund our fee since we demanded our payment back, and will be advising Motel 6 corporate of the deplorable state of this location.

Stay Away !!! We got to hotel after traveling 15 hours. No comforter, 1 pillow for 2 beds, 1 bath towel for 2 people. Grounds were dirty, staff rude. I should of been clued into that fact when the sign posted on their desk window said, β€œno refunds, no exchanges”

DO NOT STAY HERE. If you don’t read the rest of the review, please take that warning seriously. It might just save your life and a lot of trouble. The area is quite sketchy and does not feel or look safe. We arrived at 3 pm and the lobby was full of, what appeared to be, very unhappy people. We left and came back around 5 pm and we were finally able to check in. The front desk person told us that our room may or may not be clean. I could not even prepare my mind for what we walked into. The key card was totally useless as the door did not even lock. I was able to just open the door. Also noticed that the window was wide open as the curtains had been removed. Greeted by dense smell of cigarettes and naked, stained mattresses. Trash and dirt on the floor. The window had no curtain and the ac unit had been removed; exposing the room to the outdoors. TV appeared to have been ripped off its frame. Walking further into the room, the towel rack has been also ripped off the wall. Turning to the bathroom, where the entire wall is missing and the toilet is broken!! We immediately left and demanded a refund. The guy at the front did not argue. Tapped a bunch on the pad he was using but no telling if he actually did what we asked. Again, please, if you value your time, money or your life stay away from this place. This is the first and only review I’ve ever written, I am that appalled.

Seriously! this is the worst Motel 6 we've been through. As soon as you walked in the room. It smells cigarette, no trash can , no towels, no soap , no appliances except TV. Glad the remote control is working. The walls have holes, the floors look dirty. It doesn't look safe too. The manager keeps all the linens and make sure you'll request them and be patient. The slogan says...great room, great service! Then , show it don't just say it!!!

This was probably the poorest stays I've had at a Motel 6. I found a long black hair on the pillow, couple other hairs in the sheets. The floor was not clean, cold water was turned off (easy fix), toilet seat had urine spot. I could have complained but I was exhausted and the fact that the beds were made means someone was there to "clean" so the next room probably isn't much better. I already told the front desk clerk that it better be quiet or I'll be back for a refund (judging by the people in the lobby who looked like locals). He said to me when he walked me to the room, "these are all my friends", while pointing to the other rooms in the corridor. I was so surprised by this I wasn't sure I heard him right. They don't supply anything in the room, no towels, no soap . . . . guy handed me two bath towels, that was it. Oh and the bed had sheets and a thin blanket, no bedspread. I did have a noise issue so I called the front desk. The same guy said, "It's Security out there, Security ma'am." I had already looked to see who it was and it was clearly not security - they were laughing, drinking, smoking, etc. So I told him, "Don't lie . . . I know that's not security". Unbelievable. Reading this you probably won't believe it and maybe this is a one-off occurrence. The noise did stop but I had a hard time getting to sleep. There's a Days Inn next door that looked far more peaceful and one across from it, can't recall the name.

Had reservation but my room had not been cleaned when I arrived at 5 pm. Told to come back in an hour. 6 pm and still not cleaned so they gave me a larger room. We supposed to be non-smoking but there were cigarettes burns on the blankets and the floor. Duck tape was covering the smoke detector. There was no trash cans and no working light in the bathroom. A lot of shady people living here. I could go on...

I used to stay here a lot over the years, and it was great. It's close to my family when I visit in town. The rooms were clean and I felt safe. But the quality has gone down over the years. I booked a room with a king , and was given two double beds. My room had no towels when I checked in. I don't think the beds were even cleaned. One of the beds had food crumbs underneath the blankets. The water in the shower also smelled. It's really disappointing how terrible this motel is now. I would pay the extra money to stay somewhere else.

Don't ever go to ANY of these drug infested establishments. Rooms are Filthy, the front desk clerks are usually the ones selling the Dope or high themselves. It's an absolute joke. I didn't even have hot water for two days, and all they said was maintenance was going to fix it. Very bad place to visit. If you're there you are there for two things. And neither one is rest. Place was as absolute disgrace

To bad they don't have a minus star rating. Had a cockroach crawl up my leg during the night. I killed 15 flies first thing in the morning. Gunshots during the night. Homeless people walking all around after dark. Open drug use. My door won't lock. Floors in room were disgusting. Very suspicious looking stains in the bathroom like someone was murdered in there. Surprisingly, the shower was fine. I do not recommend this motel.

The front desk girl was really nice but the room is beyond dirty. It does not look like anyone has been in here to do any actual cleaning. There was a dead roach on the chair in the seating area, there was dirt and mud all over the sheets and the floors need a good sweeping. If you care about things bring sanitary I'd look elsewhere.

If you are looking for the lowest price, this might be it. Lobby Attendant was nice and accommodated us for disabilities. I thank him for that. The room was clean. As for everything else, the room had no pillows, blankets, towels, soaps, coffee, or any amenities. Machine was out of ice. Beads were a really uncomfortable foam on a hard wood pedestal. Place is not in a good area and lots of people wandering the property with backpacks and suitcases who did not belong there. I did not feel comfortable or safe but already reserved the room and could not back out without being charged to cancel. Again, nice guy at the desk but won't ever go to that location again.

I reserved a non smoking room at this motel 6, on the 10 th of May when I got there on the 11 th the day that I reserved the room for, the girl at the check in desk said that they did not have any non smoking rooms left. She just expected to to take a smoking room, and was clueless as to why this was not acceptable to me. Now they tell me that the 64 dollars that they charged to my credit card is non refundable. There were lots of homeless people with shopping carts on almost every corner. I'm glad I did not stay there and do not recommend this motel.

This place is really, really bad. Spend the extra $10$ and go somewhere else. Tried to use this as a quick 1 night pit stop with some family and it was a nightmare. Got multiple rooms for my family and each had numerous things wrong from, no sheets, broken sinks (picture attached), bad smells and stains you don’t want to ask what happened. Checking in took 30+ minutes which was ridiculous. Guy at counter was nice but clearly not sure what he was doing. They give you tp and towels at check-in (big red flag) and there is literally nothing else. (Coffee machine, any other towels, Kleenex, soap, shampoo, literally nothing). Some of my family is very particular and by me trying to save a buck I ruined our family vacation. I will never stay at a Motel 6 again. Learn from me and do the same.

TERRIBLE!!! This place is DIRTY and DISGUSTING!!! Got there at 9:45pm, needed to leave at 5:00am. The clerk was on the phone talking while attempting to check me in, the phone conversation won over his concentration completely. However, he was talking rudely to another guest who was complaining about the condition of his room. Got to my room, two large beds only one was made the other one had no bedding. Went to wash my face and realized there was no bath towels, face towels, soap, not even toilet paper -- luckily I had just left old Mexico earlier that day and had some of my own -- there was nothing at all in the room. Outside my door was a housekeeping cleaning cart and I knocked on the door of the adjacent room. A young Hispanic man answered and I ask if he was with housekeeping, he said yes. I told him my rooms situation that there was nothing in there. He seemed to understand and went to his cart and got me one folded bath towel, handed it to me went back in the other room??? I didn't have time to play with these people I had to get some sleep. So I just went to bed -- by the way it was 28 degrees outside and they had left the air conditioner on for me. When I went to bed I closed the lock and the door shackle lock. Within 15 minutes someone with a very large sounding dog was a couple doors down. The dog would bark loudly about every 10-15 minutes over the next hour. Finally get to sleep, about 30 minutes later I hear my door slamming against the shackle lock -- someone is trying to break in -- I hear someone say "Housekeeping, I'm sorry". I start cussing him out, he goes down to the next room. HORRIBLE!!! DON'T STAY HERE!!!

We pull up and there is a security car flashing lights at the gate. A crazy man screaming outside. The staff was in the bathroom for twenty minutes while the armed guard waited with folks in the lobby. Room had no blankets or comforters just a top sheet which seems to be standard for every room, and it definitely was smoked in. Mattress was just a box spring you could feel the coils. Random broken taped things around room. I’m not a fussy person and even I’m leaving immediately.

The staff seem to be doing their best, but the place is in rough shape. The stairs were dangerous, the room's curtains had burn holes, and we had to change the sheets (once some were brought up) because the ones on the bed had fairly fresh grease stains and older blood stains. No bed bugs at least (we checked thoroughly). Bed was thin and uncomfortable. The furniture was sparse. On the plus side pets stay free, the room was big and it was affordable.

ago on Google Was there this weekend for a night, manager was rude. Went through three rooms, all had bed bugs and roaches, stained sheets, blood on toilet. Tina was the only helpful person. Horrible service from manager. Tried to shut me up about the complaints and wouldn't refund my money. Stayed in my car more than the room. Terrible service and would never recommend any of my friends or family to stay. Worst experience I ever had!

For starters, when I came to check in I gave my I.D. and the person at the front desk started talking with her coworkers and ignored me for 5 minutes. Then, when I went to check in to the room, there was no body wash, no fridge, and no microwave. On top of that, I realized they never gave me a wifi code and when I tried to call the front desk multiple times, nobody answered. They also have a sign up in the lobby stating you can't get a refund unless you notify them within 15 minutes, which leads me to believe a lot of people are extremely dissatisfied, and rather than fixing up the motel they just decided to make up a policy that traps people into staying in a horrible room. At midnight, some random person knocked on my door. I went to sleep and woke up 3 hours later to someone else knocking on my door. I opened the door to a man who tried to ask me questions. I didn't understand what he was saying so I told him I'm trying to sleep and he left. Overall, this has been the worst customer service and room I've stayed at with motel 6. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money for somewhere nicer.

Doors would not shut, let alone lock. Toilet paper had over flowed out of toilet & dried there, no blankets on the beds, was just gross. Would be a better transient home, than they have, but if you are traveling, I wouldnt stop here. But the front desk ladies were awesome.

This was the worst place I have ever seen. The door would not lock blew open all night long, The TV did not come with a remote, there is no ice machines that work, they have a vending machine for drinks that says cold pop but it's not cold, no trash cans in the room they give you a bag. Its overpriced for over $70. The room stunk I had to get some air freshener to spray in the room. No telephone in the room, no refrigerator, no microwave, no cooee maker no coffee or anything on the premises. They only accept cash which was odd. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. If we hadn't been driving for 14 hours we would have never stayed in this place. It was really nice yrs ago but it's run down now.

It says Motel 6 on the sign. And I only paid like $55-$60 so I wasnt expecting a room at the Hilton. But that's exactly what I got! I mean it was a luxurious experience to say the least only thing that could have made it better is if the front desk would have prepared me upon check in for the shock of a life time. Will be taking the family here for summer vacation every year from now on. Great neighborhood for the kids to πŸ‘,

The whole thing is trash just don’t do it. I paid online and when I got there he tried charging me $40 with no reason to explain. The rooms smelled awful. The bedding wasn’t cleaned, if it was they were stained and the smell of the room stained the bedding. The bathroom was not cleaned. I’m now staying at the hamton down the street. Not the greatest area but the hotel makes a huge difference. Spend the extra money on a better hotel. I would’ve rather slept in my car than sleep there

We made a reservation. When we got there, they didn’t know where to put us. Finally got us a room only for it to be dirty and missing towels and a blanket. Informed front desk was told the room was clean but was given a different room. This one had a blanket but no towels, trash on the floor and a puddle of some kind on a chair. Informed front desk and asked for refund. Cleaning lady was in front office and got mouthy about how both rooms were clean. Owner went to check and confirmed they were not. We got our money back and left. All of this took over an hour and a half.

We had a great room in the corner. "110" They took a while to clean our room but they finally did, we had to go remind them. The beds were comfortable and they had good cable TV. We saw a couple of bugs on the floor at the end but it was time to leave so I don't know about that situation.

Horrible! Required a $50 cash deposit, that they might give back after inspecting the heavily damaged room. Door looked like it had been damaged while being forced open, and was extremely difficult to open. No blankets, no trash can, no functional light in the bathroom. Advertised pool is non-functional and filthy. Worst Motel 6 I’ve ever stayed at!!

The room they sold us had a broken sink, a broken bed and the door lock was not 100% either... with no trash can, towels or bedding this was clearly a down room that wasn't supposed to be sold... I am pretty sure they will try to sell this after we leave. My husband is requesting a refund now. If corporate reads these reviews they need to shut this one down.

I have stayed at this motel off and on for several years and last night was undoubtedly the worst hotel experience ever. Checked in at approximately 6:00 p.m. went to room, there were no blankets on either bed, no hand towels or wash clothes, no pillowcases on pillows, could not get any heat until my grandson checked furnace filters. They were so filthy he took them out so we could get heat. There was no toilet paper holder and half of the security lock was missing, TV remote would not work. Went to office and got new remote and they said they only had 1 blanket which they gave me and said the other one would be sent to room in a bit. At 10 p.m. they finally did bring towels and 2 pillowcases but no blanket. The lights above the bed were filled with dirt or dust or ? and there was a spring poking out of mattress. I cannot believe they would be allowed to rent a room in that condition. Was absolutely disgusting. Seems as is there would have been ample time to make beds and stock with towels, etc but were told they were still in laundry....at 6 at night!!! That's the end of my staying there!!!

Edited to add: They gave me a discount and the lady checking me out was extremely kind as well. The first room smelled, there was dog fur on the sheets, and the sheets looked dirty. Asked to be moved. The second room smelled better and didn’t have fur, but there was no blanket or towels. Also, finding your room is extremely difficult with the number layout. I gave them 3 stars because at least the staff wasn’t rude and were willing to switch my room.

No blankets on the bed. No towels or washcloths. No soap or toilet paper. Thankfully there was a tissue box. The room and bathroom was dirty. I will never stay here again. I checked in late and would not of stayed if I wasn't so exhausted from a long drive. I called the office when I found there was no blankets, the lady in the office said she was alone and I needed to come to the office if I wanted a blanket. My room was upstairs and far from the office. I used my coat to keep warm. In the morning I went down stairs and requested towels, soap and toilet paper. The female clerk said we don't have any clean towels and she didn't seem sorry about it. Another man that worked there got me a warm towel. Honestly I am 64 yrs old and this was the worst experience I have had at a Hotel. I would give this place no stars if I could.

Dude at the desk was nice. Online AARP price was only $45. It’s on Iliff and Coors. If you’re looking for cheap this is it. But the location is where the unhoused live. So don’t complain about that if you stay here. These are their streets. Not kid friendly.

My daughter is hearing impaired. So she's use to close captions. Last I checked LG tv's are advanced and is supposed to have close captions. My mother's tv has captions and this is the same tv I grew up with. If a tv from the 80s has captions and a 2015 tv doesn't then this hotel needs to make some adaption or something.

Room was DIRTY and I had to clean it myself.

SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. Got here to take a rest, was sent to this room first, poop in the sink, dental floss on the counter, used soap, trash on the floor, poop towels on the ground in the bathroom, no toilet paper, beds were made and ready to sleep in. No thanks. Went back in to ask for a new room and was given this second option. The fan in the bathroom was extremely loud. And I felt disgusted i dont think the floor was ever mopped... This isn't worth your money. We were given a refund thankfully. And went to a much better hotel for just $40 more. There was also alot of random people standing by the door.

The best that can be said is that I was very quickly refunded. Did not feel safe there. Lots of people just hanging around and obviously fallen on hard times. Some were living out of the motel others seemed to just be living outside on the streer. The lock on the door of the room did not work and the door had damage from been forced open in the past. Was looking for simple, cheap, clean, and safe stop during a road trip and this wasn't.

This is the most ghetto motel I've ever stayed at in my life and I've stayed at alot of cheaper motels. I stayed 3 nights because I needed to. But there was homeless and drug addicts all over the place in and around the property. And from what I heard there was a shooting in the motel the last night I stayed. The ice machine was broken, the linens had holes in them, the towels looked like they should've been replaced years ago. The don't even supply you with soap or anything in your room. There are plenty of better options surrounding this place.

Pros and cons! Great location considering it's right off the freeway, so you can pop in, sleep and then be right on your way again. Loved that they also price match, I couldn't get the website I was attempting to book through to work, so I mentioned it to the staff and she price matched for us for a two nights stay. Cheap price for a big city. For two nights it was $105.20 USD. The initial staff who helped check us in, and we spoke with the next day was very friendly, helpful, and lovely to interact with. For those covid conscious, the staff don't wear masks. (I am because I need to return to Canada, so my partner and I simply wore N95s). Checked, there were no bugs of any kind, the heat in the room worked great! We brought our own blankets and pillows since we're traveling. Cons. The sheets did have burn marks (happens I guess?) No bath mat. I ran a wet wipe along the surfaces most touched and it did come back black... Especially around the toilet so we don't think they have time to mop. Which is fair, it's a massive motel with a small check out/in window. We avoided this by simply wearing shower shoes in the unit. :) No big deal! We're honestly not picky people, I simply put this out there so those who are OCD, or super conscientious don't waste the staffs time and energy. It is a sketchy area, you'll see what I mean when you get there. But again, we parked in a well lit spot in the parking lot, took our valuables with us. Just be smart. Thanks again for allowing us a nice place to stay on our travels!

Had a very strange experience here. Walked in behind another couple and we were both told by the desk clerk that unless we had an online reservation, she recommended that we try the Days Inn next door. She would not say that they did not have rooms available, but just kept saying she recommends the property next door. It was strange. Parking lot was nearly empty. Nearly went online and booked a room from the lobby, but I got a vibe from her like she was not recommending that we stay there. Thinking back on it, it made me wonder if there was an infestation or something but she wasn't supposed to admit that. We ended up having a nice stay at the Quality Inn down the street, so it worked out for the best.

This is one of the worst Motel 6's I've ever stayed in! Honestly, I don't really expect much from Motel 6 as they are on the cheap side, but this room is beyond cheap! First the door doesn't work correctly so it's difficult to get in. The blanket on the bed has stains and holes, only one pillow. The main lights don't work. There's no TV remote & it has no signal. There are no towels and the AC barely works at all. This room is just disgusting! I would not recommend this location! Very dissatisfied!

I would give negative stars if I could. First off, they said the credit card system was down so we'd have to go get cash for our stay. We did that, and paid for our room. We got our keys, made our way to the room and the keys would not unlock the door. We went back to get new keys. The "staff" came and unlocked a different room with our keys! He said he'd be back to bring us new keys. He then proceeded to buy a bicycle from someone in the parking lot. He never went and got our keys. We waited in the room, which was so FILTHY. The beds were stained and gross. There was no TV and it smelled AWFUL. The heat was also stuck on. The floors were sticky. We finally decided to go get a refund and find a new hotel. The only good thing is that they didn't put up a fight to give us a refund. The area is very unsafe. I would not recommend staying at this location!

I see real effort from the management to keep the premises safe and clean and the area is well lit but the crime is out of control in the area and I overall did not feel safe here a little while after checking in. There were several people hanging out in the parking lot and by the room doors and I am being observed every time I walk to or from my room. The room was overall clean no problems with the room except they need to upgrade their door locks. Mine seemed worn out and seems like a good force on it could open the door instantly.

Terrible!!! They took $50 cash deposit, receptionist was with an attitude, gave a room with almost broken lock, room was so dirty,no toilet paper, room was smelling horribly, towels just for one person although I took a double room.I went back and asked to change the room. They gave another dirty broken room with no blanket and towels,so I moved the blanket and 2 towels from the other room to this one.The receptionist told the manager that the room was ok and came back and said they're not giving me the deposit back! The worst Motel 6 ever!!! Avoid this place, scammers work here!!!

The staff were great! Very helpful and attentive to our needs. The area is pretty sketchy with lots of homeless people hanging around (saw some huffing and shooting up). Hot water was out of order when we woke up but they quickly and cheerfully refunded our stay with lots of apologies. (Stuff happens so I don't blame the place for this) Won't stay here again as it just didn't feel completely safe. But it does seem as if they are trying to make it better.

The staff took great care of me. And before I stayed at a motel 6 I talked to a local from Albuquerque about which one is the safest to stay in. He said they have security at the one on Coors Road, this was important to me because I had all my belongings in my car as I moved from North Carolina and I had all my car. I did take out all my stuff out of my car just to be on the safe side. Luckily security room was right next door to mine. The staff was great and very courteous to me and this will be my go-to Motel 6 in Albuquerque.
