Honestly, not enough stars to convey our incredible time here. We wish we could have stayed more than one night. It was the best choice we could have made; they all went far out of their way to provide us the sweetest and most enjoyable night possible. They extended a wonderful day into a magical night and next morning. It was our wedding night, and they made us feel so special and important. The scenery of the property was calming and cared for. The common areas were fun and well thought-out. The attention to detail feels well-earned over considerable years of caring. They provide privacy if you want it, and companionship if you'd like it. A true Fam biz; they have honed the property to a welcoming oasis. We highly recommend splurging for extra meals if you can; they were so delicious. Cool gift shop, too!

Travelling route 66 off and on for 10 years with my sister and we stayed here twice. First time was 6 years ago, which was a great stay. The grounds got more beautiful and the owners even more friendly (if that is even possible) 6 years later. The pictures say only a portion of our experience. It is a must stay for wonderful hospitality and comfort. If you want to learn about their history or NM sites they have the advice for sure. Great homemade breakfast from local growers and homemade gifts to purchase and take home. They have privacy that you need and/or offer company if you need to talk.

CHARMING!!! This was a perfect place to stay for our family! Loved every part of the property, the animals, family and the room! It was a perfect place for us to stay in the middle of our long journey. We will make this a permanent stay for future trips! Thank You Phil & Darlene and the rest of the family!

WONDERFUL!!! An OASIS in Albuquerque NM, which I searched for on Travelocity by searching/sorted by highest-ranked customer reviews which puts Red Horse at the top of the list, as a gated, secure, mini-paradise. Awesome custom home-cooked meals for me included a full sreak dinner, and Eggnog French Toast for breakfast (I'll post a pic). They have spared no expense, with coded locks on rooms, modern amenities, luxurious bath and stand-up shower options, comfy beds/linens, they allow pets, and even have charging for electric cars!

Interesting and charming place with a rich history and lots to see while staying there. Darlene, Phil, Carl and the family are excellent hosts who want to please and they answered all of our questions. Carl gave us a personal tour and we purchased a piece of pottery from his workshop and a nice coffee mug. Breakfasts are tasty, with eggs fresh laid by hens on the property. Although not too far from any Albuquerque site, you definitely need a car to get around e.g. you can't walk to Old Town. No safety issues were encountered.Beds are comfy.Bottled water and soda are free and easily found in a fridge at the bar.We greatly enjoyed Red Horse and definitely recommend a stay.

This was our second stop on our drive from Los Angeles to Texas. This was so much better than staying at a hotel. Phil warmly greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the place. It felt more like staying at a friend's house, rather than a stranger's, which was much appreciated. The place has a warm and cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and observing the animals. It was a unique experience to have breakfast with the other guests the following morning. Darlene is a great cook, but more importantly, a sweet person to chat with. We bought a souvenir mug, which is nicely crafted, and a Christmas ornament. Should we ever be back in Albuquerque, we will book a room at the Red Horse!

This was my birthday gift to my boyfriend and the owners made it so magical! The breakfast was my favorite part. It was delicious and she even made the food gluten free to accommodate my diet. We loved the grounds and how gracious our hosts were. I cannot wait to come back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here- very comfy and quiet- the hosts are genuinely kind people. Bkft, bed and the claw foot tub were just divine!! So glad we found this place and it literally took us 5 minutes to get to the car rental drop off at the airport- highly recommended.

A great little quiet getaway, very unique place, each room is a little different and it's own special comforts (one has a claw foot tub, others have little porches, etc). Very helpful staff, a fun property (pool, hot tub, small orchard, billard table). Great place to unwind, whether you are from out of town and looking for a home base for your visit, or a local looking for an escape without the distance.

We booked this last minute. What a find! Darlene, Phil, and Carl make you feel part of their family. The room was comfy. There is a game room, swimming pool and a swing as well as a fabulous porch to enjoy during your stay. Darlene is an ace cook and made a delicious breakfast and killer cookies. We felt spoiled.

This place is amazing! I have stayed in 2 of the rooms and the camper. Each one is a little different - all extremely clean and decorated with care for different themes. The camper is great if you want a little more privacy, it is a nice size and very relaxing. And they will even prepare special order meals to accommodate different needs such as vegetarian, gluten-free etc. The grounds are beautiful and you can wander around and enjoy the flowers and orchard. Most importantly, Darlene and Phil are extremely welcoming and go out of their way to make sure everything about your stay is a great experience. Highly recommended!!!!!!

What a unique stay! Location is surrounded by trees making the stay very private, felt like a getaway from Albuquerque in Albuquerque! The owners were so nice and wanted you to feel at home. The room and dining area made me feel like I took a step back in time to the 60s/70s and I loved it. Red Horse being and bed and breakfast, I can tell you the breakfast was a great way to end the morning before checkout.

Darlene, Phil, and Carl have built this Bed and Breakfast to be one of the most relaxing places I have stayed in years of traveling. The inn is so quiet and comfortable, and they go above and beyond to make sure you are fed gorgeous meals, comfortable in your room, and if you want to be social with the other guests. The animals are so sweet, and I had a great time visiting the chickens, goats, and horses as well as watching the non-stop flow of hummingbirds out of the windows.

This large welcoming family home was the ideal base for our wedding anniversary trip. We stayed in a comfortable, cozy room with strategically arranged furniture and lighting. Phil and Darlene’s suggestions and recommendations fit us perfectly, from a quick but delicious late night take-out dinner to a high-end hard-to-get-into restaurant, as well as tourist must-visits. Carl’s personal tour of his wine cellar, pottery studio and antique collection was a highlight. But best of all was being greeted each morning by Darlene’s healthy, scrumptious breakfasts.

We loved our stay at Red Horse BnB! Phil and Darlene were very nice and hospitable. They saw to it that we had everything we needed to be comfortable throughout our stay. The food was fantastic and the grounds were beautiful. The home was exquisite and very special indeed--personal touches and sentimental items were peppered throughout. It is a home filled with love and history. We truly had a wonderful time and would highly recommend a stay at Red Horse.

My sister and college-aged niece and nephew stayed at the red horse for one night on their drive across the country; they were camping before and after, and they absolutely loved it! breakfast was flavorful and delicious--my partner and i joined them for a meal--and my niece absolutely loved hanging out with the horse on the property! highly recommend.

Marc and I have been traveling since the onset of our relationship. This trip was by far one of the best we’ve had! A lot of that was due to the hospitality and care that Darlene, Phil and Carl brought to our stay. Words can not even describe the charm, beauty, and comfort of this inn! Please book with these folks before throwing your money to a corporate hotel. This place is filled with history and magic! The beds are soooo comfy, and the food is phenomenal! All are needs were tended to in a manner that was above and beyond! We enjoyed the farm animals, the hot tub, and the pool table too!

Our visit to the Red Horse Inn was a highlight of our cross country road trip. Breakfast was exceptional and tailored to our needs. Our room was beautifully decorated and fully equipped; great bathroom! The property was extensive and welcoming with lots of hummingbirds, and the hosts gave great suggestions for dinner options in the area. :-)

This was one of our favorite stays over our 30 day vacation. The whole family was engaging and welcoming. The bedroom was great, lovely property, good breakfast. If I had known how much I would enjoy it, I would have planned a longer stay. Great stories were shared and I love all the art and crafts available in the shop.

This is a very special place. Darlene made sure she was there to greet us when we arrived. While we were about to head out for dinner, it started pouring rain. We were hungry, tired and the restaurant we had planned to go to was about to close soon, so Darlene offered to fix us something for dinner. She made delicious salmon and rice dish for me, and a great burger for my daughter. The salad and side vegetables were picked from their garden that day, and we had homemade chocolate ice cream and strawberry ice cream for dessert! What a special treat! Thank you, Darlene, Phil, and Carl! We’ll definitely stay there again next time we are in town.

Driving through severe rain forced us to look for a place to stay sooner than anticipated. We were very fortunate to find Red Horse BnB. Darlene and Phil were very gracious hosts and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Darlene is an awesome cook who uses food from their organic garden and eggs from their hens when preparing meals. I had a delicious dinner of pecan encrusted halibut and my husband enjoyed the wildcaught seared tuna. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast next morning was scrumptious with the best blueberry muffins we ever tasted. We were so happy to find Red Horse BnB and will definitely stay again when we find ourselves in the area. This hidden farm was a wonderful place to re-energize in order to continue our trip.
